More than one?
There's a difference between devils, and The Devil.

More than one?
<Snipped quote by Legend>
There's a difference between devils, and The Devil.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
Being?
<Snipped quote by Legend>
One of them is a Metaphysical being. The others are Firedwellers, and have strange powers. If you trade a soul to them, it's like Genie wishes, but they can't twist the wording as well as a Genie. They are straight to the point, where as Genies don't take souls. But they do like messing with the way the wish is granted.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
If I ever met a genie, I'd hire a really good lawyer.
<Snipped quote by Legend>
They have eternity to find loopholes. You'd have better luck befriending the genie.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
You could argue the same about lawyers. What if I got a genie to make my wish to another genie for me?
<Snipped quote by Legend>
They refuse to grant any wishes that would get you more wishes. You'd have to seek out a second genie manually.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
Right, I just mean to defeat loopholes.
<Snipped quote by Legend>
I'm not sure. They might just sense that you already used your three wishes, and refuse to grant them.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
Back to the lawyer, then.
<Snipped quote by Legend>
Yep. But the magic still belongs to the Genie. So good luck with that one.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
What do you mean?
<Snipped quote by Legend>
They can still twist the magic, regardless what a lawyer might say.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
Lawyers defeat loopholes.
<Snipped quote by Legend>
True. But lawyers can't control the Genie.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
No, but a genie should be bound to the wish. If there's no ambiguity, there's nothing for the genie to manipulate.
<Snipped quote by Legend>
And the situation is if you get a Malevolent genie, instead of a nicer one.
<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>
Are they allowed to just ignore wishes?
<Snipped quote by Legend>
They can have preferences, but if that's what you really want, they have to grant it.
