Aw, then you're not playing Infinity Evolved to its fullest potential. What they did in this pack is introduce a mod which could change mechanics and recipes on the fly. And they stuffed these changes into two "FTB Modes", which you can set back and forth for any map. Normal Mode has almost no changes, I believe, but Expert Mode intertwines mod progress heavily so that you have to build infrastructure in practically every mod in the pack.

I heard. I watch direwolf20.
I can't get the signs to work but if I figure it out do you want to know how so you can do it?

If you think China's in a better political socioeconomic state, then you haven't done research into it.

In other words, he's saying to only vote Sanders by pushing you toward his political opinion.

<Snipped quote by The World>

Sure.

Economic only.

Actually I'm saying don't vote for retards. There are a couple other candidates that I don't know off the top of my head.

I just thought of an interesting process of Existence. Assuming that, if a dimension gets advanced enough, it is possible to discover true dimensional travel, then over the many long aeons, surely there must have been many dimensions to discover Existence, certainly more than how many exist now. So I considered this for a while, wondering about reasons, and then I realised: heat death. The imminent destruction of a universe would surely cause all of its residents to leave that universe or die out altogether, if they haven't already moved and blended with the rest of the population of aware Existence. So the number of aware universes would be continually kept down, and of course Tier 5 would keep some universes from discovering dimensional travel, as well.

Not all universes would have heat death due to different physics, but similar processes, or even simply end of time and new cycle.
Remember that when Tier Five was in control, portals put huge stress on travelers their first time.
Most likely, the relatively few survivors of their first portals would be ostracized if they tried to teach others and they got killed/went insane when they were taught.
This would likely lead to hermit esque lives, leading eventually to death by discovery of them in a dimension they have an alternate that's the same as them and the others around freaking out, old age, dangers they weren't prepared for because they didn't exist in their universe, etc.
Or would lead to them finding and staying at a dimension where other travelers were, adding to the culture of that universe of dimension travelers.

Logically, at least. Not necessarily canon.

I know. Have to have a certain mindset to write for him atm or it'll be really off. Sorry.

Still no reason to have different physics.

Still does.

Valid.

No phoning it in? Or using other characters on his behalf?

Because code has as many states as there are numbers and having the same physics in every dimension makes less than zero percent sense.

Debatable. We've had some not have it happen, so...

Mm.

I don't like phoning things in unless I absolutely have to have something in a time frame and can't do it correctly. And having Coatlicue say his memories wouldn't make sense right now.

I thought that was only if the travellers didn't have help; i.e. they made their own portals. I just assumed that the portals created were machines or something and that that negated the problem.

Another possibility, then, is that universes filled with a very strong-willed or strong-minded population were those who discovered dimensional travel and had that take off. That would significantly lower the number of universes truly aware of Existence. Or, as another example, enough people were sent through from a universe and survived that they could then ferry ships around Existence. In fact, I can imagine that in the current society of aware universes, that's actually a thing, even a profitable business.

Oh, really? Awesome.
Sure. I haven't played MC without using a modded challenge map in a long, long while, but if I ever find the time to actually do a normal world, then I'll want to have that info on hand. (After all, Millenaire hasn't been updated in over a year, so I don't expect any bugs that we can fix ourselves to be fixed any time soon unless someone takes over.)

It makes plenty of sense if everything collapsed without it.

Context.

He could absolutely reject the idea.

Sort of. Machines can protect them, but it will do it regardless if left exposed. If someone who creates the portal is able to block it, that works too, but you have to do it again every time in each case.

No, because that level of unity would only exist on a Path. They cannot escape.

Different physics sets can prevent collapsing.

I don't remember. I just thought we didn't.

I suppose.

Yes, but you'd have to change virtually every variable. Might as well happen on another Scale.

You're thinking of existence as smaller than it is. Yeah, every variable is different.

Allow that ferrying thing.
