The man is a boss himself, so it makes sense.

EDIT: I do have an idea to make a version of him that actually wins, becomes a god, and finds out that Jenova was manipulating him the entire time so she could rise up and consume the planet using him as a puppet, uses the lifestream to purge all sentience from her cells, and then flies around in a planet body.

While also becoming less of a dick thanks to having increased wisdom due to the lifestream.

FWIW, "I say" and "I ask you" are only really necessary when talking to someone other than the person quoted, since the action of speaking and the recipient are both understood by default. Although we generally do suggest quoting, because some of us use a bot that pings us whenever quoted IC.
