I read the first post in the OOC, it didn't seem to mention characters needing to fit into the world?

Although all works of fiction are represented in Existence and you're free to take ideas or even characters from them, the possibilities for original creations are practically endless.

I assumed "Existence" just included everything and that essentially all characters would be allowed. I read the OP and my impression was that it's an RP sandbox for doing whatever you want with whatever characters you wanted.

Existence is every dimension. While most anything is applicable, it'll be difficult to get interaction with other players without an understanding of how your character could possibly end up meeting them. For example, if you choose a regular character in some established universe, there'll be almost no way for them to run into the other characters in MR.

In other words, while the idea of a sandbox isn't strictly incorrect, it's still a sandbox that you're sharing with everyone else =)

Thank you for the clarification. So basically I should figure out what's going on in the IC currently, and make a character that will be able to participate in the situation? Since it seems like there could be multiple plotlines going on in different dimensions, I would assume making a character capable of dimensional travel would be ideal here.

As long as they can traverse dimensions, we can figure out a way to include them; there are too many story threads to try to parse from zero. I can provide any information that might be helpful for you to come up with ideas if you have questions.

Noxie

Name: Noxie Bebopson

Appearance: A skinny young dude whose dark blue bangs cover more than half his face including his eyes. How he even sees past them is a mystery. Wears a Hawaiian shirt, baggy shorts, and sandals.

Abilities:
* Dimensional Travel: Noxie can summon a dimensional surfboard and ride the cosmic waves into other dimensions and universes, able to navigate into all types of spaces and environments.
* Complete And Utter Invulnerability: Noxie cannot be harmed in any way, whether it's a nuclear explosion, a black hole, a mosquito bite, oxygen deprivation, or the entirety of the world collapsing. He will shrug off any and all attacks made against him as if literally nothing happened. He also doesn't age at all.
* Null Essence: Noxie's abilities cannot be disabled or altered in any way (including this ability), and all 3rd-party abilities affecting Noxie can be removed or turned off by Noxie at will.
* Has a pet tardigrade named Aristotle whom he keeps in a marble. They are able to communicate with each other through some sort of telepathy.
* Other than these things, he's basically a regular human with human strength and abilities.

Can you explain how total invulnerability works? Is it healing physical damage, or preventing it? How does it discern between damage and normal interactions? Does it apply to non-physical attacks such as mental manipulation, reality warping, soul damage, etc.?

It's damage prevention. Damage is discerned by its attempt to change something about Noxie in a way that is detrimental or disruptive. That might also result in effects that have both a positive and a negative effect being negated, however Noxie is able to allow a positive effect to take place while barring the negative if he wills it. It does apply to non-physical attacks of all types--anything that attempts to change the structure/chemistry/essence/form/etc of any part of Noxie, physical or otherwise, is negated. I think I will change the ability name to "Immutable", that seems more fitting. Basically, Noxie cannot be altered in any way.

Usually any ability that trumps every other ability (for instance, One Punch Man defeating anything in a single punch) is bound by the user's home dimension. Existence is full of so many varied powers that beating them all with your own is unlikely.

Wait, I thin, Noxie could be unchangeable but would have some sort of limitation.

Hmmmm well it is a purely defensive ability, but I guess it essentially defends against *everything*. I'd like it if Noxie were essentially unchangeable, but I'm not sure what would be a good way to limit it so it doesn't just straight up trump everything that's offensive in an absolute manner.

Appears to be wearing a dress, but its just her body. Her eyes are covered by her bangs, but like starfish she has additional eyes on the tips of her "starfish arms" (aka dress) which look like little blue circles.

Abilities:

* Dimensional Drifter: Able to teleport between dimensions, exist in any type of atmosphere/environment, and travel freely (albeit relatively slowly) in mid air in a floaty-swimmy motion. Able to live in space.
* Paralyzing Touch: Can paralyze anything she touches. The paralysis sets in within seconds and lasts until she stops making contact with the person for 10 minutes.
* Slow Devour: Can ingest anything she touches, slowly assimilating their material into her body.
* Reshape: Able to alter her body into any shape, growing up to 10x, or shrinking down to 1/10x her normal size.
* Regrowth: Can heal any part of her body if damaged, though it can take some time depending on amount of damage. If she dies, she will slowly grow back into existence in a random universe.

I think her teleport will have a cooldown too, like once every few min or something. Effective locomotion will be kind of a weakness for her.
