War. War never changes.
Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything: from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage.

In the year 2012, after millennia of armed conflict, the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of death and horror.
But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the world - but war, war never changes.

You are one of the few survivors of the outbreak that destroyed humanity and left over 90% of the population dead. After two years of surviving you have found yourself with a group of other survivors who had made a home for themselves in an old farmstead in the middle of kansas. Here you had everything you need. Food, water, security, power. There was no reason to leave . . . or was there? Everyone had heard the rumors of a survivor colony in canada . . .

To anyone hearing this, we are a colony of survivors located in Hammond Canada on the american border. We are free of the dead and excepting survivors everyday! I repeat We, Are Free, of the Dead . . .

Many of you wanted to go. Others to stay. It was obvious a split was forming between the survivors, and everyone could see what was coming next. Soon they would split and leave for Hammond. When that day came, it would be a day to make a final decision. Leave or Stay.

Hello, as you read yes this will be a walking dead Rp based around the universe of the walking dead. Now as much as I love doing a one on one rp, I felt it was about time I get some experience in some series group RP's. But at the same time I don't want to limit what we can add, or do in the story. Now I am inexperienced as a GM, so If there are any experienced GM's who would like to Help Co-Gm this story please speak up I'd love and appreciate the help. As for the rp well, I have a basic story planned out for a three chapter story leading too a nice climactic ending. So you can join in for just one chapter or stick around for all three. It's up too you, But I plan to keep this going if I can. Now enough of my blabbing and onto what you want rules and character sheets

Rules

1* This rule is important. The following RP will contain very mature content and themes from rape to drug abuse and more. So If you are not comfortable with that let me know and I will be sure to make sure that things stay a little bit more comfortable for you.

2* Respect each other, if you have an idea for something you want to try that involves there character, talk it out and plan it out as not to mess up anyone else's plans.

3* No fighting. For the love of god, I will personally bitch smack any of yall who get into some sort of fight in my Rp (real not IC) as if yall were equally to blame!

4* No killing off other players without there permission

5* No offense but no Daryl's . . . seriously I can't count how many times people copied Daryl and just renamed him and made him look different. It's not cool or original So NO! O_O

6*No god moding, try to keep your characters actions realistic in relation to your characters skillset

7* if you like rule number 96, then don't be afraid to put a 69 on your application

Previous Occupation: This will per-determine alot about your character for you. It will give you a basic skill set to work with and with reason tweak. No fucking lawyers who are ace snipers . . Kay?

Bio: From when the outbreak started till now what has happened to your character. Just highlights that lead them to the start of the rp, you can still leave alot out for late inclusion.

Ok now for basic info. So within the RP our group of survivors will consist of thirteen people that means if I take one that leaves twelve. I will allow character doubling to fill the roster but to start out just make one character please until we are sure weather we need more characters or not.

Bio :Karen was born in Yazoo City to Mr Johnathan Wife and his wife Pearl. The last of three children Karen was the only Girl 9 years younger than her middle brother Arthur and 12 years younger than her brother Herbert she was the baby of the family an pampered accordingly.
Her oldest brother was her hero and her middle brother her best friend.
Her brother Herbert was a Coast guard Captain and her brother Arthur a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines when Karen graduated high school at the age of 16.

Karen was one of the happiest girls she knew that is till the day when she received word that her parents had died in a car accident, she was just 18. She was consoled by her brothers who asked her to finish school as her mom and dad had wished that she do.

Karen did finish med school and was on the path to become a surgeon but for the death of her older brother Herbert who was trying rescue oil men trapped on an oil rig during a hurricane.

Karen dropped into a depression and almost gave up medicine completely till the town corner of Yazoo City who was a friend of her father's managed to talk her into becoming his assistant. She did this till the day they began appearing.

She was ordered by the authorities to use her skills as a doctor at an evacuation center in Baton rouge. She did as she must till they began over running the city and killing any unlucky enough to encounter them unprepared.

She along with 20 other survivors managed to board a barge tug that had two barges still loaded with some supplies and headed south on the river for the gulf of Mexico where they were to make the inter coastal waterway and try for the east coast ports where they might find help.

They almost made it to the gulf when they were attacked by pirates and boarded. Karen seeing how brutally the pirates treated those they captured dove over the side and swam for the river bank.

She managed to avoid by luck being found by the dead or the pirates until she stumbled across a small group of Army reservists. There were 8 of them and they had two prime movers as their vehicles. They them selves had been attacked by feral humans and had a wounded man whom they were sure was going to die.
Karen told them she was a doctor and they in a stroke of luck told her they had medical supplies.

At first Karen was amused an then grateful when she found out that they had a large surgical kit except that it was the sort left over from WWII. The primitive kit proved useful and sturdy if not as delicate as she were used to and it did save the man's life.

They were headed north to St. Louis where there was at last reports a large assembly point the army had set up.

After weeks of travel and horrors they finally arrived near St. Louis only to find the assembly point over run. Karen and one of the others she'd been traveling with were the only survivors to make it out of there in a HUMVEE that had everything she could save aboard. Forced to head west she traveled with her companion shunning the use of roads as much as possible.

It was one night after a brutal encounter with a small group of the dead that her companion shot himself leaving her alone.
As she was traveling west alone Karen came across a farm where she found three horses who seemed glad to see her. In the barn she found three saddles two of which she modified into pack saddles. She went all this trouble because her motor transport was low on fuel and she couldn't find any in the surrounding area.

She set out from the abandoned farm and headed west once more and along the way soon found two more horses who attached themselves to her party and followed her.

She and her small band of horses rode on for perhaps another week when Karen was spotted by some of the Homesteaders who followed her from concealment till they were sure she was alone. Once they'd established she was alone they stepped out and introduced themselves.

The Community was thrilled when they discovered that she was an actual doctor and immediately offered her a place amongst them. Accepting Karen took a small out building as her own which held three rooms. She turned the first room into a recovery ward, the center an operating theater and the last into her sleeping quarters.

Her observations of the Walking Dead revealed to Karen an usual weakness to cold and that slowly when less people as prey became available they were weakening. She had little proof that she was on the right course but she was ready to cling to any ray of hope.

When she heard of the Canadian Enclave at first she didn't give it much thought but as her group was forced farther an farther from the Homestead to hunt for things they couldn't make or grow the more dead they encountered. To Karen this didn't bode well because like any animal the dead were being forced to widen their search for a food source.

Karen knew that soon the assaults of the dead might grow in numbers and that her small group could only withstand for so long. Then there was the genetic drift issue because of the small gene pool available that might not begin showing it's self for several generations but it would.

What settled her mind on heading to Canada was when two men were found brutally injured on a Highway about 7 miles away. Karen had been unable to save them eventually having to decapitate them before they could turn but she knew that these men hadn't been more victims of the dead but of the Living Marauders that pillaged and raped their way through this now mad world.

Karen decided on Canada and told the Homesteaders that she was leaving for the enclave and suggested they do the same.

In an act of Charity Karen gave two of her five horses to the Homestead and began closing her seldom used hospital. But being no fool an a student of societies along with psychology Karen prepares with her shotgun always close, always loaded and always cocked

NOTES : Karen is an adequate Horse woman with some experience
Born and raised in Yazoo she is experienced in the use and operation of shotguns.
The Calvary Lance and Saber she carries were found in a small museum and she is only slightly experienced in their use
On her Lance is a white Banner with a Red Cross on it.
On her horse pack canvass's side are painted white circles with red crosses and written beneath Doctor in large white letters.

But don't feel down! All I need for you to do to perfect it is just add how you came to be part of our group and why you decided to go with them to canada! ^__^ Thanks for such a great app though!

No troubles, I was going to see who posts and the finalize

But the Gist is that she likely met the group while moving across Kansas and they may have saw her Medical emblems and needed a doc urgently or knew that attracting a doc increases their chances of survival
Why she'd go to Canada would be because she has friends among those that are going

Question: Are we in one of those alternate realities where gasoline doesn't go bad? Or are we traveling by foot? Because if we're travelling by foot, it will 1) be much more intense and 2) severely retard the amount of equipment we can carry.
