The Harlaci Imperium
For Honor, Duty, and Glory.Head of State and Government: Emperor Castor Haraven
Form of Government: Empire influenced by Meritocracy- an extensive group of systems under the supreme authority of the emperor.
Empire size: 900 Billion - 1 Trillion Population, 1.2 Trillion including military clone reserves.
Empire power: Quadrant Power -
Type of power: Scientific, Economic, Military
Dominant Species:
Harlacs - An almost human-like species with pale complexion and tall figure.
Demonym: Harlacian, Harlaci, Harlac, Harlacon, White Suits.
A land based species that ruled over the lands of Tyr'grande during it's dark ages, until they were technologically uplifted by the Hannost. When they were found by the Hannost, their entire body structure was almost same with the human anatomy, except for their naturally tall heights and protruding bone appendages. When the Hannost offered enlightenment, they accepted the offer and complied with their teachings of advancement. They underwent several biological changes during the period of their learning, some beneficial, while some were side-effects. They can age up to 300 years, due to the improvements the Hannost applied to their bodies in their younger stages.
Their bodies suffered as they progressed even with the gene supplement they were given, resulting to catastrophic changes in their body structure. Their skin turned pale, mutations turned their eyes to glow blue or make them mute, with majority developing a weak immune system. The effects were irreversible, but they knew they had to pay a price, one way or another. Seeing that their teachings brought suffering to the Harlacs, the Hannost developed power-suits that were capable enhancing the immune system and overall strength of the Harlacs.
The Harlaci, through the years, developed a strong sense of social servitude and discipline. They also have a strong sense of brotherhood and oaths, making the Harlaci Imperium a nation with loyalty as its main foundation. They are known for their unmatched skill with range weaponry, a natural gift that improved through the years from slingshots and rifles.
Sub-Species:
Hannost - A sentient aquatic race living on the deep oceans of the planet Tyr'grande. They are responsible for uplifting the Harlacs.
Demonym: Hannost, Hannoth, Hannosti, The Mentors.
Originally from another galaxy, this species found home on the deep oceans of Tyr'grande, and paved way for the advancement of the Harlacs. They are tall, green skinned creatures that has four eyes, and mentally gifted minds. They have a unique regenerative body that could make them heal non-fatal injuries and age almost indefintely. The Hannost's biological capabilities allows them to end their lives at will. A common Hannost practice was to pass away once they reach 500 years of age, 1,000 for Hannosti that are occupying an important position in the society.
They are highly intellectual, humble and are mostly calm, but only sociable towards the Harlac people. The Hannost are the ones who were given the task of enriching the society, making most of the scholars, scientists, and traders in the Harlaci Imperium coming from their species. The Hannost population mostly reside under the underwater depths of Imperium controlled planets, with the exceptions of Hannost officials and businessmen in the Harlac society.
After the founding of the Harlaci Imperium, almost every Hannost records and data was lost, ridding any trace of Hannost plans and history for the Imperium's use. They are very secretive when it comes to the history of their race, that only the line of Emperors and Hannost Elders are knowledgeable of it. Several technologies have been passed on to the Harlaci, though most of it are just a fraction of the technology the Hannost were keeping.
Unique Technology:
Melpharic Core - Melpharite is a rare material in Tyr'grande that, when exposed to thermonuclear fusion, can collect and conduct dark energy indefinitely, to create an almost infinite energy source. Creation of the Melpharic Core requires massive amounts of the material, that only 2 of these power sources exist in the Imperium. Synthetic lesser versions of the core exists, but are altered to the point that it's relation the material cannot be traced. The existence of the core technology is considered to be classified by the government.
Melpharic Plating - In the raw state of the Melpharite WIP
Orion-Class Particle Cannon - An energy weapon that utilizes the dark energy found in the universe as a power source. These particle cannons project a black colored (aesthetic) beam of energy to disintegrate targets in range. The beam is composed of a hyper-dense collection of negatively charged ions.
Mass Cloning Capabilities - The Hannost are well known for their mastery with handling biological matters, which makes them capable of creating, altering or copying a lifeform if given the opportunity to do so. Due to the undisturbed prosperity under the depths of Tyr'grande, the Hannost were able to make a breakthrough and create a mass cloning process which preserves the genes of the template, even after strenuous use, without depleting the quality of the clone.
Hannosai Cloaking - Hannosai cloaking devices generated cloaking fields that completely absorbs all incoming sensor scans while shielding the host ship's emissions and reflected energy, thus rendering the ship invisible to both sensors and the naked eye. Panels used to apply cloaking on ships are resistant enough to maintain the field even after collision with space debris.

Economic Overview:
Cultural Overview
Language: Harlacians and Hannosti in the present day Imperium use the language called Hatrachon in communication. Hatrachon was originally the language written and spoken by the Hannost, until it was taught to the early Harlacians. To learn Hatrachon, one must be aware of the proper intonations on similar words or the tenses, which sound almost the same, in the ears others. In time, Hatrachon became more complex as influences from foreign languages became part of the system.
Religion: The Harlacs in their early evolutionary state, worshiped the being called "Sy'Keth." It was a massive serpentine creature that lived on the ocean depths of Tyr'grande, which according to legend, drove the Harlacians off from their natural coastal habitats. The religion formed from worshiping Sy'Keth was known as
Syhaktra. When the Hannost finally arrived on the planet, they manipulated Sy'Keth to force the tribal Harlacians into submission to the Hannost's protection. Eventually when Sy'Keth lost its use and became a threat to the Hannost, it was captured, and experimented on until it's death.
Hundred of years have passed, and the Syhaktra lost its followers and belief surrounding the religion, and was replaced with the vigorous patriotism displayed by the citizens in the Imperium. Genetic tampering tailored the Harlacians to act in such ways, but were further reinforced by propaganda and indoctrination in their earlier evolutionary stages. Hannost on the other hand, were patriotic by nature, but unlike the Harlacians who would blindly follows the interest of the Imperium, they have reservations, and will put the interest of their species first when the situation allows it.
Traditions: In Harlacian culture, social norms and values are heavily influenced by the current status of the Imperium, as in Harlacian belief, norms and values should adapt to the collective status of all members of the society. One example of this would be the perception of sexuality in the Imperium. In the early history of the Harlacians, sexuality was looked upon with disgust and malice, but in the present day, sexuality is considered a form of art and even as an industry that is in competition with other industries in the Imperium.
The overall perception of morality in the Harlaci imperium has changed through time, along with their appearances. They tend to bend whats acceptable to the society if they see it beneficial in their existence. The citizens in the Imperium knows sacrifice better than any known species in their knowledge due to their history. They always seek whats the best for their nation as a whole, and always see alien ideology as a threat to what they believe in. Although they can respect other's beliefs, they don't want other species shoving it to their faces.
Imperium citizens usually see treaties, agreements, pacts, oaths, and contracts as a symbol of trust, making them treat those with much regard and respect. A Harlacian or Hannost that breaks a symbol of trust are known to be thrown as outcasts in the society, and called
Magno Kai meaning "Oathbreakers" in Hatrachon. To gain back their reputation in the society, a Magno Kai must fulfill three oaths, one for the government and two for the society. Due to this practice, most Magno Kai's become mercenaries that fulfills the request of their clients, then eventually joining up with the military, to fulfill an oath from the government.
Military Overview:
War does not determine who is right, only who is left
- Bertrand RussellThrough centuries of isolation from the rest of the galaxy, the Harlaci Imperium focused on heavily improving their military, making it a force to be reckoned with once rediscovered by other civilizations in the galaxy. The command over the military is divided between the Emperor and the Commissar, both of which has significant amount of influence over the military under given situations. During peacetime command is evenly shared between the Emperor and the Commissar, but during war time, the Commissar gains more power to command.
Citizens serve in the military as a part of a tradition practiced way before their contact with the Hannost. Due to the tradition, a law was eventually made, to protect the interests of the citizens and the government. The law stated 20 to 50 years of servitude in the military, with financial and health benefits included. The law was flexible in a sense however, as in rare cases, those who wished not to serve are allowed, in exchange for a reasonable fee. Those who wished to serve the military as a profession are given higher recognition in the society, and were regarded as the
Vanguards of the Imperium.
Conditions for military mobilization: The Harlaci Imperium mainly declares a full scale conflict on a nation/faction under these conditions. Two criteria's must be met for a declaration to take place, though one would do, depending on the gravity of the situation.
- Their military endangers the safety of the Harlacian citizens.
- They attempt to establish colonies on Harlaci planetary territories.
- They have attempted to compromise the very structure of the Harlaci Imperium.
- They have trespassed Harlaci space territory with multiple military vessels without proper clearance.
- They have violated a pact or treaty with the Harlaci people.
The Drobovian Trench - WIP
Particle - Particle weapons in the Imperium use negatively charged ions that upon contact, causes a momentary stunning effect. (Assault Rifles, Rifles, Pistols, Shotgun, Railguns)
Plasma - Weapons used for long range encounters, these are able to punch through several plating of armor with ease. (Sniper Rifles, Pistol)
Ion - Weapon that is best used against anything that is mechanical or energy shields. It immobilizes its target for a good period of time. (Shotgun, Anti-tank/Mecha)
Gauss - Standard weaponry for the Imperium, it uses bullets charged with plasma energy that are able to explode on contact. (Assault Rifles, Rifles, Pistols, Shotguns)
APM - A bio-missile type that is able to puncture several layers of armor and pack an anti-personnel load in a large area. Best used if you want capture a ship intact.
Hornet - A missile that contains several smaller missiles inside, these are well used against multiple armor and infantry units.
Hyrm - A missile that is able to deliver an Ion payload. Best used against armor and ships.
H-HM - A homing missile that is able to deliver an armor piercing and explosive payload to its target. Used to destroy large portion of ships entirely.

Harlaci Imperial Dreadnought - Acting flagships for the HGA, these are the 2nd largest ship in the whole navy of the Imperium. These ships are armed with two frontal Orion-Class Particle Beam Cannon, 100 twin-link particle batteries, 240 Gauss AA batteries, 500 missile pods, Mass driver turrets and point defense turrets. The ships has a unique plating that emits a small magnetic field that redirects small projectiles from frigates to fighters, rendering smaller ships ineffective against the Dreadnoughts. Dreadnoughts carry one or two frigates inside, along with several fighter squadrons. There's currently 10 ships of this class on service.
Harlaci Imperial Battle Cruiser - The backbone of the HGA, these ships specializes on the offensive and defensive aspects of warfare. Strong and powerful these ships might be, their speed on the battlefield is their disadvantage, making them rely on destroyers and frigate attack groups to take out any flanking enemies. These ships are armed with several long range and mid range weaponry.
Harlaci Imperial Destroyer - These ships are usually assigned as captains of a frigate attack force. Most of the time, they lead groups that circles around the battlefield or rushes deep within the enemy formations. If they are not assigned on attacking duty, they are assigned as support forces in the main battle line. Armaments of these ships usually depends on what mission they are assigned to. A common armament of the destroyer is a Basilisk-class Particle battery, a weapon that bombards enemy positions accurately even in high speed encounters.
Harlaci Imperial Frigate - Frigates makes up the majority of the entire fighting force of the HGA, and are the most manufactured ships in Harlaci industry. Due to the ship's essential position in the the Imperium's navy, they are fitted with the latest military weaponry. They are commonly carrying a squadron of fighters and followed by two to three corvettes.
Harlaci Imperial Corvette - Hit hard and fast, that's the motto of every captain leading these corvettes. These ships are armed with Ion and Gauss weapons, but lacks on heavy plating the bigger ships have. They are capable of moving around the battlefield with speed, and are capable of disabling (even destroying) ships that aren't quick enough to even lock on them. Once assigned on strike missions, they are lead by a frigate, accompanied by a company of fighters, and followed by a dozen of boarding ships.
Harlaci Imperial Fighter - Armed with 2 Particle auto cannons, 5 Hyrm Missiles, 10, H-HM Missiles, 5 Hornet Missiles, and 1 AI operated Gauss back turret.
Harlaci Troop Carrier Frigate - Can hold 1/4 of an infantry division plus 2 Colossus Mechs. It is capable of boarding enemy ships.
Harlaci Imperial Transport - Basic transport ship. These usually carry over supplies, troops or ammunition from a station to a ship, or vice versa.
Auxiliare units are clones of various soldiers which are deemed "valuable assets" by the Imperium. The Auxilliare are commonly stored in massive cryo banks within military dedicated planets, until they are called into action.
Auxilliare Marines - These soldiers are cloned and trained for the sole purpose of being the shock infantry of the Imperium. They are usually tasked on leading planetary invasions, ship boarding, and raids. The only non-clones in this military division are the commanding officials.
Auxilliare Guardsmen - Guardsmen coming from the Auxilliare acts as the systems militia and reinforcements to depleted regiments of the Marines. They are commonly assigned on guard, escort, and policing duties.
Auxilliare Seekers - Although the cloning process in the Imperium yields huge success, it can't be avoided that deformities will be present, via genes or external issues. When this happens, the clones affected are drafted into the Seeker division, which is responsible for providing field reconnaissance.
Auxilliare Frigate - Using the same frigate models from the HGA, these ships are used by the Auxilliare for most of its military operations in space.
Dregorans are native species found on the oceans of Tyr'grande, they are an amphibious race with massive body structures that conducts electricity much like an eel. Just like the Harlacians, the Dregorans were also uplifted by the Hannost, but solely for the purpose of military use. Dregorans were effectively absorbed within Hannost society and were treated as an equal, as they represented the military body of the Hannost. Dregorans in itself could not support its body in land due to their massive size, which is why when they are deployed on land, they wear power armors made by the Hannost. Dregoran armors appears different from each one, as each armor is ornamented with memento's or personal trinkets gained from battles they've taken part. Usual armaments given to the Dregorans are energy weapons, since their electrical body further amplifies the firepower of their equipment

The extreme patriotism of the citizens eventually led to the formation of the Vindician Inquisition, a government sanctioned cult who dedicate themselves to the preservation of patriotism towards the Imperium and it's integrity. Through years of relentless unfailing service to the Imperium, the Inquisition was assigned to be the acting secret police force of the government. The Inquisition are given special powers to enforce authority over the military branch, including the right to purge entire regiments or divisions, if they deem one as threat to the Imperium.
Ark of Sy'Keth - It is the most powerful and largest ship in the Harlacian armada, and considered as the imperial flagship. It has the same plating the Dreadnoughts have but with several
Melpharic Platings on vital parts of the ship. The ship is also powered by a fully operational
Melpharic Core. It has 4 twin-linked Orion-Class Particle Cannon Batteries, hundreds of Ion batteries, twin-link particle batteries, gauss AA turrets and missile launch pads. The ship also has the ability to carry one HRF battle cruiser and four HIF assault frigates. The Ark is 6 miles long and has a self-destruct feature that is triggered by the Praetor, or by severe system failure.
HRF Ruaser-class Dreadnought - Ruaser-class Dreadnoughts share the same armaments the HGA Dreadnoughts have, with the exception of the twin-linked Orion-class Particle Cannon batteries attached to them. Ruaser-class contains two to four HRF Destroyers, along with several fighter companies.
HRF Battle Cruiser - The best battle cruiser available in the Imperium, this type of ships are usually found escorting the fleet or on orbit of Tyr'grande. Every armament of these ships are Particle weapons, except for the gauss AA turrets. Ships of this type are capable of deploying a small cloaking field and are capable of taking out targets from long range just like the ones in the HGA.
HRF Destroyer -
HRF Missile/Assault Frigates - Frigates from the HRF have varied arsenals depending on its class. Missile frigates supports the main battle line, while the Assault frigates takes part on the front lines.
HRF Interceptor - Armed with 3 Particle auto cannons, 1 Plasma assault cannon, 10 Hyrm Missiles, 20 H-HM Missiles, and a cloaking ability.
HIF Fighter - Armed with 3 Particle auto cannons, 5 APM Missiles, 10 H-HM Missiles, 5 Hyrm Missiles, and 1 AI operated Gauss back turret.
HRF Corvette - These ships feature an advanced class of cloaking device and dual plasma cutters attached to all of its frontal arms. It can deploy a cloaking field affecting friendly fighter ships on a close proximity. Unlike its cousins on the HGA, these corvettes specialize on boarding bigger ships. Once it attaches itself to a ship, the last thing an enemy ship would do is shoot it down, unless they want to trigger the ion deterrent payload.
"For the Imperium, no sacrifice is too great."
The Arcani form an elite group tasked with the responsibility to preserve the Imperium's stability by whatever means necessary. Each Arcani is hand-picked by the Emperor himself after proving that they are an individual of exceptional ability and self-reliance. Arcani operatives can come from any species member of the Imperium; though most of the time Harlacians are favored. Candidates for the Arcani typically have years of military or law enforcement experience before even being considered. Arcani are considered to be above the law, and has higher authority over the Inquisition. Candidates for the Praetor are often selected from this group.
"Void Strider"
The Void Strider acts as the Arcani's mobile headquarters, and staging ground for operations. The Strider is equipped with the latest military arsenal that even the military would take years before gaining access. The Strider is also equipped with a specialized Hannosai cloaking device that masks every signature of the ship three times longer than the usual cloaking device. There's only one destroyer carried within the ship, as most of the hangars are dedicated for the Arcani's personal spacefighters.

Home System: The entire Harlaci Imperium originated from the Krieg system, it contains the yellow star called "Mor" and 6 planets, Tyr'grande being the 3rd being closest from its star.
Home World:
Tyr'grande, an earth like planet, with the exception of an abundance of mountain ranges and fewer but deeper oceans. Its planetary size can be compared to the planet "Jupiter" in the Solar System. The planet revolves around the yellow star named "Mor" and is orbited by three moons called Myloth, Troz, and Licion. The planet also has an asteroid ring called Hymtos, a former moon of the planet. Tyr'grande boasts lush green fields, sky reaching cities, and a rare mineral called Melpharite.
