When I first joined a Percy Jackson roleplay I hadn't even heard of the series and the only thing I knew about Greek Mythology was that there was a dude called Zeus, a chick called Aphrodite, and that Disney made a movie about Hercules. Now I'm obsessed with Greek Mythology. So don't worry, I can help you out if you need it!
