Clad in full armor, with his weapon held over the shoulder, Markus bushwhacked his way through the forests that still stood near Gold Village. He had been tasked as a scout one of the few people who could step into a Dragon Tribe and escape, but he wasn’t being exceptionally stealthy. While he didn’t announce his arrival by simply hacking a path through the sea of trees, neither did he slink about in the many shadows cast by the sun overhead. Walking firm and tall, he came to a halt with a small, “Ah,” as he felt the disturbance in the air in front of him. Reaching out with a finger of his claw-tipped gauntlet, he gently touched the ethereal barrier that had begun to reveal itself with his noticing. His touch sent the slightest ripples running over the construct, though they quickly faded away. Between its sensitivity and size, Markus wasn’t willing to risk it. The Grand-grand figure likely knew of his presence by now if it hadn’t already before, and given the Hunter’s plans before he had left he wasn’t really looking forward to find out if humans, much less a Dragonslayer like himself, were welcome. He eyed the large magical construct once more before quickly turning and walking away.

Markus didn’t go as far as some might have expected him to. Rather than the safety of Gold Village, Markus travelled several miles back through the forest before coming to a halt. Climbing atop one of the ancient trees that had grown massive, he took a seat at one of the topmost branches. From here he had easy sight for miles around into the clear sky. If any Dragon took flight, he’d see them. After all he hadn’t only been sent out as a scout, but also as an advanced guard to make first contact with any “rescuers”. The Hunters expected mostly Adults to be sent as rescuers, maybe a Grand figure at most, so it was supposedly within his capabilities. He guessed he’d find out soon enough.

Siabel & Momo

'' Oh if you do plan on prettying him up, Please invite me. I really would like to join you in that task.'' Momo hummed imagining the dragon she saw on a few moments in girls cloths. It was extremely fun. She nodded as Myrtle spoke. '' Say you know Gold village pretty well, are you from there or just spend a lot of time there?''

Siabel was not responding her eyes fixing on a form that was coming closer. Soon a wingless dragon landed close by them. The dragon was a few times bigger than Siabel. Just as Siabel wondered if that dragon was sent by GGM to help her a adult...the six year old was stingy, why not a grand mother or grandfather. Or better ten or more dragons, but she guessed it was much more reasonable not to send so many out. Didnt made her feel any better, thougth.

''Hm!'' Siabel raised her black head to the adult, what was she thinking, to speak as it was her fault. And than the added part.
"You didn't eat someone did you?"
She growled in response. '' What kind of greeting is that? '' She snapped not amused by the joke at all. It was momo who jumped in to attempt to calm the situation.
''Please excuse my Lady Siabel. She is just worried. Apparently dragons who went to amuse themself in the human town got captured by hunters. The situation is problematic as it appears they have developed weapons and other things that are draining the dragons magic. ''

Momo made a little bow towards the big dragon. '' I am Lady Siabels human pet, Momo, it a pleasure to meet you.'' The human smiled hopping the dragon didnt take any offensive towards her lady. On top wondering which gender appearance such a dragon may have. It was her first time seeing a wingless dragon up close, making sure to not end up staring as she thougth it would be rude to do so.

A fire fly appeared buzzing around them. Before it started talking, to Momos amazement.

'' You will be going now, but I am asking you to be in your compact forms as there is danger just outside the tribe. On top avoid to show that you are dragons and to fight as long as it possible, fight back only if you have too. Kill only if you have too.'' The fire fly fly up and showed the direction where the dragons should leave the tribe, Mirazan hopped the trees that were there would hide from sight that the 4 ladies appeared out of nowhere.

Siabel looked over to Ikkan and turned to her compact form, her tail hidden under the skirt, now wrapped itself around one of her legs to not by any chance peek out under the rim. '' Sadly we will have to walk...I hope Myrtle you are right and they will only be experimented on first and not killed first.'' Siabel said not looking away from Ikkan. '' Water and air magic...If I do not know better I would assume grand grandmother Mirazan wishes for a painfully and slow death for the hunters. Suffocation and drowning are indeed horrible ways to die dont you think?'' She asked the adult dragon once she was in the compact form too, moving out the tribe with a fast step. Momo walking up behind SIabel.

~~~
Around the time the 4 woman left the tribe a firefly settled itself beside a human in the tree. Sitting on the branch, the dragon behind the light insect observed the man with a big frown on her sleeping face.
The man took a short pause before answering him with a positive answer. Chu made a mental note to remember to come to this place once everything was good....Maybe it would be a bad idea after saving them to come here...Bad memories. It would surely ruin a ceremony like that. He peeked over the paper about the church and looked at the hunter building.
''...you dont happen to have a church in another location....?'' He questioned just in time a group of hunters left the building. Chu felt fear and anger seeing them. Moving up behind the priest, in a whispering voice he asked.
''Can we please move inside?....'' He questioned but readying himself for a quick escape. A little bit of anger leaking as his foot stomped softly on the ground. On the other sidewalk a bump appeared as the earth making the sidewalk bump up just a bit. It wasnt noticed as Chu watched the hunter trip over it and faceplant on the ground. It was oddly entertaining and satisfactory to watch it. Sadly one of the hunters did noticed them.
''Hey what are you grinning at? Have some respect to the protectors of the city.''
Was he grinning chu wondered for a brief moment. The grin fall as he watched two hunters helping their friend up and the one who called him out walking now up to the priest. Seeing as he didnt yet shoot, he either didnt know he was a dragon or cared for civilians.
'' You scum of dragon butt kisser, you better pray for your gods. '' He spoke up to the priest, making chu be sure it was the first option. The hunter either wanted to pick a fight or appear as big and strong. Chu hands sweated a lot as he made sure the human is directly between him and the hunters.
Ikkan laughed at the attitude of Siabel, then looked to see that one of the humans, jump down from Siabel's back ''Please excuse my Lady Siabel. She is just worried. Apparently dragons who went to amuse themself in the human town got captured by hunters. The situation is problematic as it appears they have developed weapons and other things that are draining the dragons magic."
Ikkan quickly changed from a joking attitude inside her head wait wait, wasn't a Grand Father with them? she felt a sudden sense of dread, she had hoped this would have been a more simple mission, one that she could have talked her way out of. Knowing that the damned Dragon Hunter Guild is involved makes this many times harder than it would have been in any other situation. "Ah then I do apologize for my joke, as in this situation it was inappropriate" she made a simple head gesture, before noticing the little girl staring at her in wonder. Wingless dragons weren't as common, so this could be the first time she had seen one.
''I am Lady Siabels human pet, Momo, it a pleasure to meet you.'' the little one made a bow and Ikkan lowered her head as a bow in return.
"Nice to meet you Momo, I'm Ikkan Palax, and the pleasure is mine" after the formality of introductions, one of GGMs fireflies flew down and informed them of the situation, then told them the direction as told them to switch to their compact forms. Siabel swiftly switched to hers, and made a comment that irked Ikkan slightly, she was one for killing the hunters, but the senseless act of making them suffer was cruel for anyone, no matter the act they have done.
"Yes I suppose it would be a way to go, though If i were to assume, our magic is going to be a lot weaker, if what you say is true about the machines they have" she knew all to well the power of dragon magic repellent weapons and machines. She switched into her compact form and out of the smoke, a red headed girl with a torn overcoat and mask on appeared. She seemed to make the mask dissipate into smoke with a flick of her finger and revealed the giant scar on her face. Pulling off her hood, she walked on with the other three and walked beside Momo, interested in the fact that she was a "pet" to Siabel "Miss Momo, how long have been a friend or rather pet to Lady Siabel?" she smiled slightly as her red eyes seemed to be trying to pierce the little girls soul and inspect her.
Trusting his instincts had kept Markus alive against plenty a monster, so when he got the sensation of being watched, he didn’t simply dismiss it as frayed nerves or silly feelings. His eyes, hidden by the helmet, closed slowly as he tried to focus on whatever was sending chills up his spine at the moment. It wasn't really the same crushing, hopeless feeling he'd felt when he had actually come face to face with a Grandgrandpa before. No... while this was infinitely more subtle, the power doing the watching was simply so great that it was impossible to fully mask; even the minuscule amount that he could feel had alarm bells going off in his head.
In a single moment he went from sitting leisurely to having drawn his massive cleaver-like sword, swinging the weapon in a wide sweep all around him. The air that rushed away from the motion carried with it any magic that might have been active nearby, disrupting whatever scrying or observational spell he suspected the dragon was using. At least, Markus hoped it had since he wasn’t exactly sure how effective his weapon would be against a creature that could supposedly create and erase mountains with ease.
Regardless if it had worked or not, he knew it was likely that the Grandgrand was more than just aware of his presence, but taking an active interest. Jumping off the branch the moment he was done his weapon swing, Markus fell through the air like a rock and quickly disappeared amidst the tree tops. There might have a been a small boom, a minor shake in the ground, for those who were sensitive enough, but the mercenary had already disappeared by the time the smoke cleared. While he couldn’t be sure if any Dragons had been sent out, the option that they were travelling in their human forms was quite possible. It would make their travel time far longer than it had to be, but he supposed it would be good to avoid detection by someone like him.
Still, there were only so many ways someone could take to reach Gold Village. They’d run into him eventually, and he’d see about sending them back to the safety of their village if it happened to be sooner or later. Of course that was the ideal case, but most Dragons he had dealt with seemed to be a fairly prideful lot. Even if they weren't a prideful bunch, which by the way would have been a horrible choice to send for a rescue mission, he couldn’t imagine the idea of abandoning their comrades to their death and running back home would be met positively. So as he ran through the forest, a literal blur between trees, Markus prepared to take lives once again today.
Myrtle
"Then it's a plan. Hunters seem to find more male dragons anyway. Probably because their too distracted gawking at the girls to realize anything suspicious." The light red haired woman mused as she devised a plan that would be both useful and amusing at the same time. Perhaps she truly was a wicked little human, but hey that made things fun.
Not long a wingless dragon landed beside the trio, looking almost like a overgrown snake and questioned them about the current predicament, joking with Siabel about eating someone. Myrtle puffed her cheeks slightly to hold in a laugh, blowing the air out in a light whistle before grinning as she listened to Momo explain the situation.
"And I'm Myrtle who snuck in here on a friend who got himself captured. Nice to meet you." she grinned before listening to the firefly with interest, finding the act of communication by firefly interesting before watching the two dragoness's turn into their compact form.
Emerald eyes doing a once over on the new dragon with crossed arms, she snapped her fingers and rested the back of her palms against her hips.
"Damn another hottie. You dragons are as bad as elves I swear." she snickered before walking with them with her hands behind her head and glanced to Momo.
"Nah I just visit a lot, and tend to look at historic things and maps of any place I visit . I practically live on my ship. Though I guess if I had to say I had a hometown, it be Excavia." she said before glancing at Siabel. "Well we could take my ship. It's near Aster's home and it's along the way to Gold Village. Won't be so suspicious since just about everyone knows I wander around everywhere, including in the middle of no where. Could say you all are my helpful assistants. Or just people to make sure I don't burn down anything. I guess I could call it remotely but that would bring it suspiciously close to your barrier and all." She suggested to them as she walked along with a hum.
Aster
The red head breathed heavily, coughing a little before glancing toward the teens shaking his head lightly toward the ice dragons words. He felt too weak to talk, but he didn't blame her for what had happened. Could happen to anyone really. Tharak the Hunter hummed as he looked around, seeming to decide which one to start with.
Knowing what these hunters were capable of, Aster wheezed and cough but managed to speak. "What's wrong? You're small brain having trouble which one to torture? The hunters must be going down hill to hire someone like you." he croaked with a soft growl, though his body beet rayed his fear by trembling.
Tharak growled and glared toward him. "Fine then, we can start with you. Take him to the experimental chambers. We'll use his adult magic for Project Clone. If it doesn't work, try to brainwash him. If not, drain him." The human Hunter said to some other hunters who nodded and went to Aster's cel who flinched away from them but didn't have enough strength to struggle as she took him by the chains and forced him to walk like a dog on a leash.
The firewater dragon tried to use some magic, but it had been nullified by the collar that was held tightly against his throat. As he stumbled passed, he glanced to the teens, and gave a soft reassuring smile before his back was shoved to move foreword and walked down the hall. He didn't know if the tribe would try to save them or not. A part of him hoped for it, but another part doubted it. Perhaps because that didn't happen when he was a hatchling, but then again, no one knew he was there. Chu was free though, he'd probably let them know. If that was the case, he hoped they would get here in time for at least the others to make it out.
"Well hello little buddy." a hooded man spoke from behind Chu and patted his head, and mischievous grin upon his lips. Draken's red eyes looked at the younger dragon with a soft glint before looking toward the dragon hunters and stuck out his tongue.
"OOOO what big baddies you are... Careful, remember the last time you picked on my poor little Churchy friends? Baaaaad thiiiiings!" the grandfather sang in a sing song voice as he wrapped a arm around the human and earth dragon. Patting both of their heads like they were children.
To be honest, he probably should have been made a grand grand sometime ago, but he avoided doing the ceremony because then Mirazan would have nagged him to help with the barrier. Quite annoying really.
The firefly fly away as the man started to swing its sword, dispelling somewhere close to the ground. It was a few moments later when another one appeared. Holding more of a distance up to the man who was now moving fast. But what is even the fastest human compared to the speed of light? It wasnt any trouble for the dragons light creature to follow him. She could sense it he was a strong one. Alone the fact he assumed there was something there to swing his sword either meant he is paranoid, or has good instincts. Either case was dangerous Mirazen didnt want to leave him out her eyes.
Not too far of the man another legend was being written. A chicken was slowly walking thougth the woods. Her feathers pulled out at places, burned on others and everything else was full of mud. A fairy was sitting comfortable on the chickens head. The chicken looked as it went thougth hell but in truth exactly that was the case. She survived the dragons children and babies, she would have died from the strain of panic on her body. It was the fairy on his head that saved his life not from the dragon assault but from the heart failure after the chicken escaped on its own. The fairy with a giggle kept on healing the chicken from her ''battle wounds''
Siabel & Momo
Siabel tried not to giggle at Myrtle comment, it was something interesting about it...and true. As he remembered how often in her own home town man didnt get the hint she was another species until they werent short on air to breath or being slapped by her tail. Quite stupid in her opinion.
Momo was being sweat again and over politely, actually making the dragon apologies to her. Really a little string puller of a human. She thougth to herself, only nodding as a mark she indeed accepted the apology.
watching the dragon change into her compact form, using her hand to go thougth her own black hair. Eyes fixing on the scar for a brief moment before answering. '' I can go around pretty well even with magic on level of a child just discovered his magic.''
She explained, watching as Ikkan moved to question Momo. She eyed her for a moment before just listening to them with one ear.
Momo chuckled when she heard Myrtle give a compliment to the red dragon. '' Well it works in our plans doesnt it.'' She said before following them all out the tribe. Ikkan how she introduced herself walked by her. And with a nice smile she watched her.
''I was given to my lady after my mother a priestess in a dragon church far from here, died. I grow up with lady Siabel. She keeps me safe as I am part of her horde so to say.''
She explained adding that she comes from a far off country that runs a lot on wind energy. She found herself being rude as she didnt offered yet any present to the dragon mistress. But she run low on present and she may need some of those for the rescue. The little mechanical trinkets she had with her may be a good sourse of distraction.
Looking up as Myrtle said a flying machine. Her stomach knotted itself. '' Um...maybe walking would be the safest? You know a ship just landing in the city maybe a bit you know...trouble some.'' Momo was thinking of reasons to avoid flying. A ship wasnt too bad a idea... But Myrtle ship sounded really bad considering the girl loved the wild flying style of her lady siabel.
Siabel on other hand welcomed the idea. '' That is great lets go to that place girl.I preffer to travel by air anytime even if it has to be by such a....thing.'' She grimaced as she really disliked the idea of using a machine to fly as she had two working wings ad her magic. But for once she found walking all the way even worse especially because she was feeling in hurry.
"Unfortunately, we don't. Despite the size of our building, we have a relatively small congregation," he answered, sneering at the hunters, "But being concentrated here also helps keep tabs on them." Ezekiel felt that because he could watch the hunters, he had the best location in the city. Anywhere else would just be tedious, and would spread his resources thin. Considering the cold war between the two, that was the last thing he wanted.
"Of course." While it went against his plans, the stranger did seem very on edge, and as a result he found himself more on edge as well. At least he had an idea of how frequently the guild was working tonight, and this meeting most likely wouldn't take too long. Focused on the man he barely saw the hunter trip, but focused on them once he saw the small group forming. Oh, this could be fun. He thought, shaking his head.
"Protectors? I'd call you harbingers of Armageddon. Really, useless in anything worthwhile." He retorted. Though the man was taller than him, Ezekiel didn't find that a problem. He glanced over to his child to tell her to back off some, not wanting her to get involved in anything. In his experience hunters had always been obnoxious and arrogant, and the man wasn't proving him wrong. "I'd rather pray for the heathens' salvation. You seem to need it much more." His tone was even and showed no emotions. It had taken him awhile to learn to remain so calm around the people he wanted nothing more than to burn. But maybe the man was an idiot, and Ezekiel could gain some insight on what was going on. "Now, do you actually have a reason for approaching me or is this just a waste of time?"
Ikkan instantly blushed and looked the other way flustered "I...Uh...Um...thank you, Funny enough I was looking for some-....never mind that, but thank you, it is not often that i get a compliment such as that" she laughed nervously and moved some of her hair behind her ear. She looked over to Myrtle and felt heat on her face, thinking of a way to complement her back "You're beautiful as well, I don't consider myself to pretty, considering this thing" she pointed to her face "but...yeah..." she trailed off, and turned her attention Momo, though she would casually glance over at Myrtle.
"Ah what an interesting turn of events, I do say. Loss is hard, but it seems that your lady has done a fine job raising you. Manners and all" and smiled slightly before hearing Myrtle suggest taking her boat. Momo raised a good point, walking while it would take longer, would be safer than flying. Not only that but less attention, though it seemed that Siabel was all for the ride. Ikkan thought of the situation "Can you guarantee that we won't cause suspicion, I know that you think that this is nothing Siabel, and I do not doubt your strength, not in the slightest, but even I when I was at my most strong, but uncontrollable and reckless stage, watched as my brother and sister were slaughtered. Hell I even got this scar and was almost blind for many years over before finding someone to heal it, even now I do not doubt we could put up a mighty fight, but would we win against someone who could have very well taken down a great grandfather, one of which I idolized" the last part made her voice waver a bit in anger.
In her mind it was making her slightly shake if one payed attention, very close attention. For her, the old geezer that got caught was who she aspired to be in a way. She was a water and lightning based dragon, almost the same as him, but he had a way with how he acted that it made her want to be like him. Even his strength was something she wanted to copy, but now hearing that her idol was caught, it made her outraged. She never lost control like this, ever, so this was mentally making her angry for being angry and angry at the hunters. Breathing out slowly she looked into the sky and breathed out "I think I have a plan, that involves your ship, and your power Siabel" she rolled up her sleeves and cracked her fingers.
"Okay, so the way you guys describe it, I'm guessing they are going to be in the Hunters Base, deep within it as well. If we are able to fly over a big water source, I know a way that we can both cause quite a lot of destruction and conceal us getting to the city without causing an alarm or anything of the sort" She explained to the three that she was able to create a violent rainstorm, as well as shoot lightning from the storm incase battle starts. This could very well start the rescue mission with one well placed lighting blast and a centered attack at the building weak spot. As for the reason that Siabel was crucial to the plan, while in her compact form, if she were to make the storm and control lightning and thunder, she would not be able to control the direction of the storm, thats where Siabel would be crucial. "How does that plan sound? otherwise we can do something else" she looked at the three wondering what they thought.
Scowling, Markus noticed that the presence hadn’t seemed to abate in the slightest despite him having gained miles from the tree he’d first noticed the presence at. Slowing down as he glanced around, it wasn’t too hard to notice the faint glow of a “firefly” drifting through the foliage above him. It came to a halt as he fully stopped and hovered in place, no doubt observing him for its master. This would make things difficult…
For one reason or another the powerful being hadn’t set out to reclaim its own from Gold Village, but out here in the wild forest away from the human settlement? He wasn’t ready to bet it would stay within the confines of its barrier if he hurt its kin while it watched. It didn’t seem like he’d be able to get rid of its observer either, as Markus was almost certain he had destroyed the original. Sighing, he turned away from the “firefly” and continued on his way through the forest, trying to pick up on any trace of anyone that might have left the barrier. While he was severely limited in what he could do combat-wise he’d still be able to complete his primary task of scouting out the Dragon’s response.
Even with his enhanced speed and senses though, the forest surrounding the barrier was simply too large for him to cover by himself. Every moment he wasted trying to circle around its perimeter only forced him to widen his search area as any possible targets made more ground. So… if he couldn’t find them then his other option would be to force them to show themselves.
With a slight frown as he didn’t enjoy pointless destruction like this, Markus gripped his weapon with both hands and exhaled. When he breathed back in it was deep enough that the air around him literally swirled as he drew it inside. Muscles like coiled metal flexed and an unnatural tinge of red began to swirl around his feet as it rose up to engulf his entire body. The color was drawn to his weapon's edge where it seemed to gather, forming a neon red glow on the metal. With a small huff, he slammed the weapon against the tree's trunk. Despite its size, the weapon was not nearly long enough to bisect the tree cleanly, it was large enough that even half a dozen men wouldn't have been able to hug its trunk. Yet the blade nonetheless carved through the ancient wood with ease before he brought his weapon around for another swing, and another, and another. Stepping around the massive tree, Markus carved his way through the trunk bit by bit. And when he had made a full circle, the tree groaned as the damage proved too much; forced to give as gravity took control.
Jumping backwards and away from the toppling tree, he watched for a moment as the skyscraper of a tree finally fell. There was something oddly alluring to watch about it, as the heavy mass brushed and crushed aside any tree that tried to stop its descent. It made a racket as it fell, branches and smaller trees cracking and splintering. To call what happened when it hit the ground a racket would have been quite the understatement. His vision was jarred by the shaking of the ground underneath his foot, while he watched as a cloud of dust settled around the fallen tree.
“Shit... Well that should get people’s attention,” he muttered as he listened to the sound of birds taking flight for miles on end due to the disturbance. He stepped forward towards the fallen trees and jumped onto its trunk, landing softly as he surveyed the surrounding carnage; waiting to see if anyone would show up. As he did so though, he rubbed at the back of his helm sheepishly. The falling tree had managed to clear about two hundred feet of trees in the direction it fell, and done so very messily. While he had intended to cause some havoc, it certainly hadn't been on this scale.
Myrtle chuckled at the red dragon's cute blushing reaction before outright laughing as Ikkan gave a compliment in return. "Riiight telling this to the girl who is often mistaken as a pretty boy. But thanks!" she grinned before frowning at their responses to her idea, except Siabel and seemed to not care for it, mostly Momo.
Ikkan gave her plan, Myrtle humming as she listened before deciding to respond. "It would actually be more suspicious if we walked. Remember, human culture is a little different then dragon. Four women walking alone tends to be suspicious, especially unarmed. Guess they could think we were courtesans if we dressed the part but I dunno if you want to handle that much guys gawking and have to play the part. Plus here is bandits and elven country we have to get through and it's kinda troublesome dealing with them. It's not suspicious for me to fly to town, after all I have cargo to bring, I know quite a few of the dock workers, and it isn't unusual to give rides for coin. Flying the fancy ships tends to be pricy. Plus we don't have a lot of time, if they start with the teens they won't last very long since they have more little use compared to adults and older. And if you start too much of a ruckus, the Dragon Church's god will probably get upset and from what I witness, it doesn't take much for you dragons to recognize one another. Plus it risks civilian casualties if some of the building falls or the storm accidentally shoots off key." the human tried to explain before pausing as she looked toward a large noise.
A large tree seemed had to crash down and lay waste to a bunch of other trees, quite a deal of destruction. "Well, if this was a book, we would get curious and go investigate that. And it probably means bad news, sooooo we could do the smart thing to do and just ignore that and keep going, or we can do the dumb thing and go investigate and see what happens. Decissssioons." Myrtle hummed thoughtfully seeming to be weighing options in her head.
"Ezzy! Don't ignore me!" Draken whined and ruffled the humans head more, the tall black figure humming with light amusement. Glancing toward the hunters with his red gaze, one reaching for a weapon in annoyance. With a soft hum, the elder dragon flicked a index finger toward the Hunter who suddenly screamed and whimpered as he fell to the ground and trembled. Rolling around and scrambling away in a utter panic. The other hunters looking a little more nervous at the act.
Draken however chuckled and hugged the two smaller boys to him. Pondering when exactly that rescue would appear. It was quite boring around here, so some more entertainment shall be satisfy his needs he hoped.
Jeonbae's own thoughts dragged on within him, sound escaping his notice and movement irrelevant to his inner struggle. Despair was the only thing he knew for a few minutes, the hollow pit in his heart and stomach refusing to go away, dread's icy grip on his psyche refusing to go away. There was only one other time that Jeonbae had felt this, decades ago...
The cramped confines of the cell were spattered with mold and mildew, neglected for years. Nobody would want to take care of a prison cell, it was for prisoners after all. A young man with a gaunt face and matted, short, purple hair huddled in a corner of the room, his cat-like eyes staring blankly at the grimy stone floor in front of him. A collar, made out of a silvery alloy with a rough jewel in the center, was fastened around his neck. Another man, with braided night black hair and a narrow and equally gaunt face, sat opposite to him, looking up at the other with sympathetic wisdom. He had no collar on. The black-haired one spoke a few words to the purple-haired one, gesturing with his hands briefly. The latter looked up, a glimmer of hope showing in his eyes. The black-haired man continued to talk, the purple-haired one staying silent for most of the time. In the coming days, the two exercised and ate what little that was given daily.
Then, one day, with the two sitting cross-legged on the floor of the cell, hands on their knees, eyes closed and faces showing nothing, the collar around the purple-haired man's neck broke, falling off on the ground with an unceremonious clink. His eyes opened, and he slowly stood up. The black-haired man opened his eyes as well, looking up at the purple-haired man, smiling. The former bowed to the latter, and the purple-haired man, grabbed the cell door and melted the lock, the hum of electricity echoing through the stone cell. It swung open, squeaking slightly, the purple-haired man only pausing to look back at the other, before running down the hallway and into the sunlight, leaping into the air.
The negative emotion in Jeonbae drained away as he replayed the memory in his head, hope filling him again as it once did before. He could get everyone out of this. The collar only blocked dragon magic, not one's own energy. He had learned how to control and release his energy from a political prisoner, hailing from the Northern Lands, one of the ascetic warriors that made their home in the region. Coming from his memory, he looked up at the other dragons, but saw that Aster was no longer in his cage. Worry filled him again.
"Where did Aster go?" Jeonbae asked quietly, glancing at Winter and Aksaja. He shook his head. "Never mind." The hunters probably took him to be experimented on, there wasn't much any of them could do soon. He brought his legs forward, sitting cross-legged, placing the back of his hands on his knees like he did years before. He recalled how he tapped into the well-stream of energy within him, feeling the constant flow of the chi, as it was called. It danced in his mind's eye, streams of purple and red crossing and tangling and untangling in a strange harmony. He faintly saw the energies of the other dragons, burning more brightly than the guard that was assigned to their room. He focused back to his own energy, funneling it into the collar. No doubt technology had changed in the years since he escaped from that prison, but with time, he could get it done. In the swirling chaos of the earth's chi, he noticed one brighter than the others, buzzing on papery wings. Realization dawned on him as he realized it was a firefly. He smiled slightly, trying not to betray his emotion. He knew help was on the way, and it was his responsibility to lead the effort. It was his way to redeem himself.
Chu
The priest answered in return not staying in debt to the hunter. Quite brave of him in the earth dragons option. It was another voice who spoke up that all but gave him a more than proper scare. A hooded figure was having a hand on his shoulder. Instantly Chu knew it was another dragon a dragon of great power. Grand parent was the word that popped in his mind, but he was stronger.
Chu being oblivious to the things that didnt involved flirting with a dragon wasnt aware who this one was. So it was no wonder he grabbed at the possibility that this strong dragon was the rescue that Miranza send.
"Now, do you actually have a reason for approaching me or is this just a waste of time?"
The priest questioned the hunters making the happy Chu realize there was still there. Well not too long as the grand pa gave a taste of his powers.
They retreated, it was for him a bit weird as they spoke to each other as if they knew each other but who cared.
Watching as the dragon ruffled the bits of hair that were accessible from under the mask Ezzy, so that was the human name. And they know each other.
''Thank you thank you so much. Ezzy'' Chu was fast at adopting nicknames from others. '' Said he can marry me and aster but first we need to save him, save them all. What is the plan? Will you charge in and destroy them all? Or are we going to somehow sneak up? I can dig several tunnels but there are many layers from not only earth between the dragon prison and me. Even a electricity fulled net. I nearly shocked myself trying to bite thougth it.''
The earth dragon whinnied speaking fast and hyper a side he usually dont lose control over, but tonight it was a pretty strain-fully day to worry about how he speak.
''On another note, the thing about eating human thing forget it. I prefer berries and veggies over meat. Let alone human.'' He shifted from leg to leg as he said that his belly grumbling in demand of those veggies and fruits. He didnt eat anything after the time spend at lake, blushing a bit from embarrassment he grinned smugly.
Siabel grinned she left the desired impression on the female dragon as she listened how she tried to explain that it wasnt good too go all pridefully.How bad it was to not be in control and reckless. Truly a words of a dragon. It was saddening to her how many died of her family. Momo spoke the words of how horrible that must have been. Good girl. Siabel praised Momo in her head. Thinking of herself. Grown up by humans, if it could be said like that at all. Control...controlling the humans to ensure no harm fall upon her and later upon momo. Was she good at it bad at i? She couldnt tell, but her whole life she had to dose the threats and praise to be feared just enough to be seen as a goddess but not too much to be handed to the hunters. She didnt spoke a word about the pride or what she thought about it, simply it wasnt for sharing.
Soon enough a idea for a plan of action followed. Patiently listening to it till the end she smirked. The dragon assumed she was able to move mass of air at will. Enough wind to be able to blow the clouds in the right direction.
''...I am a wind dragon but not of that kind. I can make a storm go away or turn but its ....hm... takes time...as in...hours.'' She said weighting her words as she spoke. He wind manipulation was more of knowing where to push the air pressire up or down to cause the wind to appear on its own. Like a butterfly effect. She could turn storms away but it mean only she changed the small currents and than let them grow on their own. Which needed time. It was one of the reason she failed to properly make cutting winds as those kinda need a instant effect. She could pull the air from one bubble so to say out to leave vacuum or pump it to a degree its as hard as stone or soft as pillow. But that wasnt much of a use in controlling storms it was usefully to place a human or flying machine in the bubble. And watch what will happens. Momo was describing her magic as fine tuning of air.
A crash.
Siabel stood still a light breeze blowing thougth the woods, carrying the smell in its passing of many things. She sighed hearing Myrtle concerns.
''Well its a male good build well trained, and in possession of object that were maid out of dragons. And he is sitting on a freshly cut old tree if his breath rate is natural. He is calm, I assume he waits for something.''
She stretched looking over at momo. The girl catch the look and nodded shifting closer up to her lady.
" I dont think there is much of a choose you talk a lot, he may have heard us if his ears are really good how close he is.'' She said her voice lowered just a bit. She pointed the direction out and on the look of the the human face concluded that her asymptotic was right.
''He IS on the way between us and the ship, the shortest way that is. Ikkan you are the oldest, say what you think we should do.''
Seeing a hunter reach for a weapon, Ezekiel reached for his own, before the other suddenly was screaming and collapsing to the ground. He was incredibly grateful for the way it ended, as he didn't want to get into physical violence in the street.
Only once the hunters were gone did the priest fully turn his attention to Draken. "I apologize, my lord. I'd rather not take the chance on taking my attention off of them." He explained, fixing his hair. Even with the dragon there, he wouldn't think about giving the hunters any sort of opening. It wouldn't have been the first time he was attacked by them. Ezekiel had always been amazed at the casualness that the dragon carried, and was never sure how to respond to it. He felt he was getting better, at least. 'Ezzy' was never a name he was fond of, but who was he to argue with them? Over time he had gotten used to it, though, so it didn't matter much either way. "Many thanks for your intervention."
He watched the other man talk as Draken pulled them both close. So, they were a dragon after all? While he did find them odd, he wouldn't have jumped to that conclusion anytime soon. Ezekiel felt mixed emotions at the fact that he was right in assuming the hunters were doing something, but it was valuable information. "Exalted one, if you would like I could have someone prepare something for you, the both of you." It was more of an offhand comment while he thought of all the information that they gave. "How many do they have...?" He muttered, more to himself than anything. He was confident if he knew the details he could form an actual plan, but considering that Draken wasn't already attacking he guild he assumed a current plan was already in place.
Draken
The elder dragon chuckled at Ezekiel's words, humming his approval for food before his red eyes glanced to the smaller younger dragon, Chu. Listening to his excited chatter, the black cloaked man gave a amused hum, especially at the marriage part. Mhmm this one was Chu, a earth dragon, a often flirtatious sort. The elder knew about quite a lot of dragons, Mirazan wasn't the only one who could manifest little eyes for herself. Though this was the first he's heard marriage from this youngster.
"Marriage to the little red head who usually shies away from such affection? How interesting... Though I suppose I can approve such a union and offer protection here for the ceremony. That's if you know how to correctly woo a mate and not just flirt youngster Bunny." the tall figure mused before simply grinning as he patted the top of Chu's head.
"Apologies for any disappointment, but I am not the rescue for the youngsters. Mirazan's little rescue party is already on their way. Though they should really move their tails. After all, little hotcold lover boy is the first up on hunters menu. Don't worry though, I am keeping a eye on the boy as we speak." Draken said with a cheerful smile before continuing to wrap his arms around the human and younger dragons shoulders and led them inside the Church.
If Draken wanted to, he probably could rescue the captured youngsters. His power was a bit more difficult to fight off, since it wasn't exactly the expected physical pain when encountering a dragon. But then that wouldn't leave the youngsters to prove themselves. He couldn't just babysit them out of danger all the time. In the old days, a dragon was mostly on his own but that made him grow into a powerful elder.
Glancing toward Ezekiel at the murmured question, he hummed thoughtfully. "Two teens, a adult and a grandpa. Tsk tsk Jeonbae I expected more from you, though I suppose you're using your head at the moment." Draken mused mostly to himself before the large church doors closed behind them thanks to some church guards.
"You'll be safe here for the time being, no need to worry of getting cut up, forced into some mating rituals for eggs, drained magic, etcetera etcetera." Draken chimed to Chu, seeming quite cheerful and playful despite the situation his own kind were in.
Aster
Tharak grumbled as he paced along the prison, occasionally glancing toward the dragon prisoners, his fingers gripping the hilt of his sword in irritation. The Hunter would prefer just slaying these monsters here and now, but power hungry fat greedy officials want to harness dragon power. Stupid bastards, it's just better to kill these things as quickly as possible.
In another room in the maze like underground base, on the other side of the base was Aster. Chained down to the ground in the middle of a room, sitting on his knees with several needles with tubes sticking into his back and arms. The tubes leading to another room with a clear wall, attaching to a golden cylinder machine, humming as red and blue magic sparked inside it. In the other room, was a horse sized electric yellow dragon, skinny and lean with full white eyes without any pupils or color within them. Large black clawed talons on its paws and curved black horns like a bull. Unlike a regular dragon however, this one appeared to be more beast, wildly growling and making savage snarls. The long red haired man was unsure if the yellow dragon could actually talk.
Similar tubes were attached to the yellow dragon and generating a yellow sparked glow within the cylinder, mixing with the red and blue. He was feeling weaker from the strain of losing his magic, though it was a slow and delicate process, the hunters obviously were being cautious and wanted this experiment to be a success. Looking down at his chained hands, he didn't bother fighting or resisting, there was little point
Though his amethyst eyes glanced to his left as he spotted a black speck on his left shoulder. A difficult thing to see even for a dragon. It was about the size of a flea, emitting only a tiny black reddish glow. Knowing who this belonged to, he glared at it before simply ignoring it. Though it began hard to ignore as it flew into his ear and crawled inside. Shivering a little he shook his head and growled, though surprisingly, he felt calmer and almost dreamlike. The experiment'a pain dulling slightly. Draken was a weird dragon. He had assisted these hunters, yet now he was dulling the pain and even giving some of his magical energy. It was hard to identify if his intentions are good or bad.
Myrtle
The human hummed with soft concern, it wasn't normal for a human to be out this far in the forest and mountains. Especially by themself, where there could be several dangers about. So this man could probably take care of himself against quite a few dangers, which slightly worried Myrtle.
"Mhmm I guess there is no choice then. I would prefer to avoid him, a lone human out here means quite a few possibilities that we probably want to avoid. Though I suppose we'll just have to play innocent or casual, or make a run for it. After all, I'm a adventurer not a fighter." Myrtle said before continuing to walk through the woods.
The streams of the chi funneling into the metal collar danced into Jeonbae's vision. He could feel it slowly growing warm around his neck, the restless energy creating heat within the metal. As more and more of the energy was stored in the collar, it became harder to direct more in, the strain showing on his body, sweat beading on his forehead with exertion. A furious swarm of color danced around the color at the edge of his vision, the color straining against it. With a final spiritual heave, the color broke apart, the pieces falling with a dull, quiet clink on the cage's floor. Jeonbae gasped as power flooded back into him, breathing heavily.
Better make a move fast, it shouldn't be hard for the Hunter to figure out what happened to the collar.
He could still sense the hunter in the room, pacing around, keeping a semi-watchful eye on the dragons. He didn't seem to notice the collar breaking, though. However, he still had his full plate of armor on, so it would be very hard to get him out of the way.
If you can't use magic to get rid of him somehow, try something else.
His eyes widened slightly as he glanced at the bars of his cage. Jeonbae slowly shifted to the side, grabbing hold of one of the bars. The ends of it slowly grew warm as he infused it with destructive electrical power, weakening the ends. He moved quietly on to the second bar, keeping an eye on the hunter in the room. Once he had gotten three down, he removed the bars as quietly as possible, then crept out of the cage when the hunter's back was turned. Gripping the bar tightly, he walked on the front of his feet, making hardly any noise.
"Hey, what-" the Hunter began, turning around as he noticed the noise. Jeonbae swung the bar at the man's head, colliding with a crack. He staggered back for a moment, then shook his head, recovering quickly.
"Son of a bitch! I don't know how you got out, but I'm not taking any chances." He drew a small combat dagger, lunging at the dragon. He tried to sidestep the blow, but the armored Hunter managed to land a hit, slicing his left side. Before the Hunter could turn around again, Jeonbae swung the bar at the back of his head, once again landing with a sickening crack. The hunter fell on the ground in a crash of heavy armor, still breathing but unconscious. He tossed aside the bar, and stumbled over to Winter's cage, one arm around his side, melting away the bars with electrical heat with the other, and then Aksaja's. He picked up the dragon bone knife from the floor where the hunter had dropped it, cutting away the two's collars with its sharp edge with some difficulty.
"We need... to find Aster..." he said, gritting his teeth against his wound. It wouldn't take long to heal, but he would be vulnerable with it open. "No doubt a Hunter has heard the commotion in here, they'll be here soon." He considered simply striking the building with a bolt of lightning to take out any electrical power, but he would risk notifying any outside agents, making the job of escaping that much harder.
Siabel
Siabel nodded to the reasoning of Myrtle, playing innocent wasnt sounding too bad. Shifting her skirt to make sure nothing from her tail could be seen, she walked up beside Myrtle. The smell getting stronger as they walked. Siabel took a deep breath the clearing made from the fall of the old wood coming in the view.
The man must have seen the four. Smiling as sweetly as Momo Siabel stepped up even hurried. Why she did it. That guy was more than obliviously a hunter of sort the weapon in him more than potent looking to pose a problem.
''Thank our fate we meet. I thought me and my friends would be lost in the woods forever!'' She escaped loudly. Wondering how much of it will he buy. Usually stupid humans were ignorant, and she had no visible dragon feathers.
Momo jumping in the act, running up to the man sitting there and grabbing his palm in both her hands.
''I cannot believe we will be saved by such a attractive knight. You see today was my birthday and this is embarrassing how we ended up in the woods... The important part is that I wouldnt think my wish would come true.''
Siabel hit gently Momo over the head. '' I sincerely apologize for her, she is a hopeless romantic. He is not your future husband. Please sir, would you point us in what direction is the city?'' Siabel herself was happy how smoothly she acted. Maybe it will work as soon as they get out this man views they can turn and get to the ship.
Momo let go of the mans hand, placing her hands on her bag casually. Giving a wink to the man. Sibel hoped, really hoped they will get all this over as fast as possible, Ikkan was partly her worry, with the hood one her head she may look suspicious but there was no avoiding it. She flipped her hair, hearing momo introducing herself with her real human name, Mohon Erma Garret-Scroggs. She didnt heard it in forever, and even so it sounded way to complex.
Chu
Chu nodded to the Ezzy offer of food. ''some fruits would be fine. '' He said his appetite falling downhill as he was reminded again about his captured friends..''....if we just never decide to go out in the city today...Everything for a stupid drink...well that red hair that shy away from attention gave me a kiss, for your information.''
Chu responded to Draken mistrust in the love determination. Well... it was a indirect kiss, but even so it was stunting gesture. Made him feel all happy, and of course. He was appearing flirty but that was because he was searching for a partner! Half the time dragons were so pulled back that if you were not being direct to them or tease them you would never find out if they were even consider making eggs. Humans had it easier they just go to a bar where they pair up.
''....but I am not the rescue for the youngsters...''
''But...but..but....'' Chu lip s pouted eyes being big staring in a begging silently for the other to change his mind. Being lead with Ezzy inside the church. Now the feeling of being safe kind of melted away. The thougth that they will have to wait even longer, Aster was seriously hurt! Winter couldnt walk and Aksaja got quite the beating from snapping at the hunters. Jeonabe wasnt a unwound either. They couldnt wait!
The door closing behind them the dread now getting quite strong.
"You'll be safe here for the time being, no need to worry of getting cut up, forced into some mating rituals for eggs, drained magic, etcetera etcetera."
''...but..What?!... mating for eggs?! '' He shifted into his dragon form the red scaled bunny started jumping around Ezzy in a panic mode. '' I..I cannot wait. Ezzy please we need to get in there as fast as possible! I cannot wait I must save them even If I have to do it alone. I cannot wait I am already late for waiting this much. I dont want either of them dead or being forced into anything! Please Ezzy get me in. Please help me get him to help or some special weapon to save them!'' He spoke like a waterfall, ending up jumping on top of the priest mask head. His ears twitching, he was seriously debating if he should make a earth slide, or make a really deep hole so the supports in the hunter lounge give in and it all falls into a hole. He would need half a hour to dig such a hole using all of his magic. Or maybe he should try sneak in it? Hiding under a chair as a hunter guard pass by?
He wined he really wasnt a dragon for this type of situations. '' There must be something I can do to help!''
"They were caught at a bar?" Ezekiel turned his attention to Chu, interested. So he would have to put someone near there now, too? How annoying. For gods, there was a lot more drama than he expected to hear. Then again, he didn't expect a lot of things from them. Draken's casualness was something he was still getting used to.
Walking off to prepare food for Draken, Ezekiel barely caught himself from tripping over Chu. It took him a moment to even understand what the dragon was saying. By the time he processed everything they said they were already on his head.
Well, this was a unique situation to be in.
As frantic as Chu was acting, Ezekiel knew it would be hard to get anything done. Draken mentioned something about a rescue party. Did he really want to interfere with that? Most likely, it was better to not intervene in his gods' work. But hunters did have a habit of carrying out their work efficiently, and the captured dragons didn't have much time. Draken had appeared to make up his mind about the situation, however, and he was almost positive there would only be minimal help from the dragon. He probably already considered listing off how many were captured help enough.
Ezekiel glanced over to his patron god, hesitant to make any decision. Either way, the dragon on top of his head was going to try and do something, no help or not, so he had to do something at least.
The priest called over some sisters to prepare for Draken, not wanting to keep him waiting. "I apologize, but I cannot ask such favors of my lord." He sighed. "However, I see you're set on this..." While he did want to let the supposed rescue team come, he couldn't forget that this would give him valuable information about the guild as well. It wasn't exactly as if he could say no to any of the gods. "I'm unsure of the layout of any lower levels of the guild, but at the very least I could get you inside. I'm not confident it's the best idea, and could leave you compromised..." Ezekiel didn't want to doubt a god, but Chu did seem much easier to capture than others. He was silent as the sisters came back with food, presenting it to Draken.
Draken
Draken raised a eyebrow at the earth dragon's statement. "Sure if you count that as a kiss." he mused before watching Chu make a pleading face for assistance in which Draken simply gave a amused smile but did not say anything about lending assistance or not. It was then the earth dragon promptly started to freak out and mostly pestered the priest for assistance in his bunny form.
As Ezekiel seem to consider and the rabbit dragon spoke quickly, the tall man removed his hood to fully reveal his long razor sharp horns and his jet black hair as his red eyes seemed to be focused elsewhere. He chuckled a little then and tsked.
"Jeonbae seems to have escaped his cage... But such a racket he caused. One would think that a grandfather would realize the consequences of such actions in his predicament. Quite a shame, though I suppose they could possibly escape three out of four. Not a bad ratio." The elder dragon hummed clearly though seemed to talk to himself. "Course the hostage will be the price... Reduced to little more than a experiment. Mhmm to handle this or not is the question?" he murmured as he seemed to weigh out outcomes before his red gaze glanced to Ezekiel who agreed to help get Chu inside the Hunter's Guild.
Draken chuckled before smiling at the sisters who handed him some food. He thanked them and happily ate off the plate with a fork before looking towards Chu. "I suppose you could assist three escapees. Though you are most likely just going to get yourself hurt. Especially since the hunters are now aim to kill rather than aim to capture." he mused before taking another bite, but his words didn't seem worried for Chu's safety and more just pointing out what he believes would happen.
"Yuuuuuum!" Draken purred then hugged Ezekiel and patted the top of Chu's head. "Due try and not get my subjects killed though. Ezzy happens to be my favorite after all." he chuckled.
Aster
Amethyst eyes opened as a sudden alarm rang out through the building, he weakly lifted his head as he tried to focus on what was happening. Aster heard speakers notifying escaped dragons and he gave a mild sigh of relief. Though hoped they could escape. These hunters seemed have a lot of tools to deal with dragons. Mouth clenching as he heard the words of 'immediate termination' he knew they would now just kill the dragons. Dragons loose in the base was apparently very bad and warranted immediate death.
It was then the tubes broke off of him, cutting of the machine. Glancing up the machine on the wall, he saw what seemed to be a egg, though it was a bit spikey and was quite colorful of a mixture of blue, red and yellow. At the sound of doors opening, he looked in front of him to see a couple of hunters, one in a white lab coat and the other in some armor.
"But that experiment is still unstable, we don't know exactly how the subject will react to it!" Said the Hunter female in the lab coat.
"Doesn't matter now. If it succeeds, good for us and bad for those dragons. Fails, well that's one less dragon to deal with. We got a lot of magic outta him anyhow." said the Hunter in armor before storming towards the red haired man.
Aster shifted and reared back, pulling at the chains as he kicked the ground, attempting to stay as far away as he could from the approaching human. To little avail, the Hunter pulled out a dark colored rock emitting a odd gray glow and grabbed the dual element dragon by the jaw. Try as he might to twist away, the Hunter forcefully opened his mouth and shoved the rock inside, forcing Aster to swallow it whole. Coughing and hacking, his body shook and spasmed a bit.
He coughed and hacked, blood dripping from his mouth, before his vision darkened and blurred. Trying to stay awake, he felt the collar removed from his throat and watched the humans leave before his vision completely went black.
Despite the noisy surroundings, Markus perked up at the sound of something approaching his position. It stood out given how most things were scrambling away from the scene of destruction. Turning around, he was a bit surprised to see two rather young-looking ladies walk out into the makeshift clearing. Despite being concealed by his helmet, he raised an eyebrow while shifting his grip. Picking his weapon up, the grip change let him rest the blunt side comfortably on his shoulder. He let the girl grab his free hand without much concern, trusting his armor and instincts would be enough if she tried anything.
“Oh? That’s curious.” Given he’d been in the forest for quite some time now, Markus was fairly certain nothing had landed in the immediate vicinity for a while. While it was possible that the two and their companions could have walked this deep in, their state of attire made him think otherwise. They didn’t look like they were lost wanderers who’d somehow managed to traverse the many miles between their current location and Gold Village. Nonetheless he still answered, gesturing to the correct direction through the sea of trees as he said, “If you travel about two dozen miles in that direction the forest should start to clear out.”
“Still. You wouldn’t happen to know anything of the Dragon Tribe nearby would you?” Markus couldn’t be certain, but looking over the four individuals nearby raised a few suspicions, even putting aside the two’s story. Wondering if it would work, he took a deep breath before letting a sharp killing intent out as he passed his gaze over the four once more. He didn't know if any of these people had ever been in a fight for their life before, but it wasn't exactly an easy sensation to forget once experienced. At least that's how it felt to him; people he'd talked with before described it differently to him at times.
Ikkan Palax
Ikkan kept quiet thinking about the options, but ended up letting them take the lead, she wasn't the greatest at missions like these, or these situations to be honest. They walked a little up ahead and then they saw a man. His armor reeked of battle to Ikkan and she instantly was put on her guard and felt a sense of something wrong, keeping her on edge. Myrtle and Siabel started talking and then he asked about the tribe and Ikkan suddenly put herself in gear stepping forward and next to Momo and Siabel and wrapping her arms around the two "Now now you two, lets not bother the soldier to much" she gave Siabel a slight look, but with her eyes. A kind of be ready at anytime look and patted Momo's head slightly, petting her almost "Sorry about these two, lord knows they are looking for some men to just carry them off their feet after my husband off and went away, Ikkan Garret-Scroggs, pleasure to meet you" she took his hand and gave it a slight shake before releasing it and taking her hood off.
Her hair feel back and her scar was greatly apparent in the light now, making Ikkan fear slightly he would ask her what it was about "Forgive me about...this" she pointed to the scar "A dragon years ago attacked my village and gave me this, but anyway on to less grim things, you asked about the dragon tribe? I was unaware that we were so close to the tribe, in fact i thought it was much farther, that's a scary thought isn't it, how close the dragons are?" she smiled slightly and her eyes kept scanning him, the iris almost looking like they were looking through him."Sadly we have not seen the dragon tribe, those creatures are wonderful are they not? I do wonder though...what would a young and spry soldier such as yourself be looking for the dragons? I going to go out on a limb and say that loud sound was you?" her curious side came out and she was wondering now what he really was doing here.
