Meruin a little drowsy, jumped up, startled by Theo's sudden shout. "Hau!?" she intoned. Shaking her head clear, she stared at Theo. "Oh, it's you . . . hi? I'm rather tired, so I'm afraid I didn't quite notice you."

Sol walked out of his class, and headed downstairs after hearing several loud noises. He noticed that two new students were there, "Fun, looks like we got some new students in time for the tournament fight. Can't wait to see what you guys can do, my name is Sol and you guys are?" Sol inquired.

Ethan walked up to the boy and the newcomer "Uhhh sorry about that when learning new abilities they tend to take time to adjust." Ethan holds out his hand "My names Ethan Bennett but you can call me Ghoul. What do you mean by tournament?"

" When do you think you'll finish making those weird spells." Theo asked seeing if making fun of her would send some type of wakeup call.

The jab at her spells flew over her head. "I'm not sure about weird," said Meruin hazily, "I mean, all spells are strange and unique some way or another, so I'm unsure as to what could classify as 'weird' in magic. As for this Ritual, I'll probably be done with it in another two hours if I work straight."

She yawned as a handful of rice, hotdogs and french-fries was served on her plate. "Then again, I'll probably have to save this for *yawn* tomorrow . . ."

"My name's Slick" said the boy gripping Ghoul's hand. "What do you think you wins battles you progress to the next round, the winner moves up to the highest rank of person entering the tournament."

"Ok. So while your doing your unique magic try not to doze off. Every time I see you , you look tired for some reason." Theo laughed not fully knowing the effects of Meruin's spells." Well cya around I have some studying to do." Theo said grabbing his book and heading towards the cafeteria l's entrance.

Meruin nodded, a fistful of food in her mouth. "Hmh, a'ight," she said through stuffed cheeks. "See you . . . Zzzzzzz."

The small magicians head was nestled neatly on a pillow of french-fries.

Cruz looked at his room, leaving the topic of hatred out of his head. Since the Principal gave him the permission, he decided to transform the room in his personal Ark. "First of all, I don't want windows.", he said. Using his terminal and his data magic, Cruz collected the window and left only a wall. He turned on the lights, since the room wasn't being able to receive the lights from the sun. "But... at the same time, wasting electricity with a lightbulb is unnefficient. That window might be useful for bringing a vision of the ouside.", he said, exchanging the lightbulb for the window. He looked at the bed, which was the next thing he wanted to change. "This bed here is really interesting, but it does not bring me the comfort. Luckily, my father gave me a Gravitational Sphere and put in my stock. I shall use it as my new resting place.", he said. The bed was exchanged by a pod. When Cruz turned it on, a blue sphere started to spin.

"Good, now I need something else.", Cruz looked around and saw a table with a laptop on it. He moved it to where the window originally was and used his magic once again. The laptop became a giant screen, as the table became a big keyboard, filled with the most strange algorithms and symbols. Cruz pressed a single button and the screen got filled with many other small screens inside it. "Last thing is the security. I need to know who's outside whenever I'm here.", he said. Cruz left his room and saw the outside. He put a small jewel into the door. "OK, camera set. Now, I have my Ark!", he said, happy.

"Im Mutt." Mutt says simply. He is still taking in the details of the 3 new strangers, but talks of a tournament came up. He hadnt transformed yet, and wanted to make sure that if he had to fight someone, his abilities would be a surprise, or as close to it as possible. After all, he called himself Mutt, and had claws. It dosnt take a genius to put that puzzle together.

"Yeah im looking forward to the tournament. Thats why I rushed here." He suddenly seems to change moods as he realizes he dosnt want to sound confident. "Not that ill win or anything, but its always nice to watch others lock in friendly competition."

Mutt quickly tries to change the subject, by reverting atention to ethan. "Hey some power you got there haha! I sure hope that not EVERYONE is as powerfull as you! Ill get last place if they do! Was that lightning? I couldnt quite tell from the forest."

Theo walks towards his room and happens to past by Cruz's room on they way there. "Yo Cruz you in here buddy." Theo shouted knocking on his door.

"Crap! I gotta go for my first battle, see you guys later!" Slick ran off into the gym hall.

Mutt paused and looked at Sol and ethan. "Are we gunna go to? Or whats the deal?"

Cruz heard the knocks and decided to test his camera. A screen popped and showed who was outside. It was Theo. Still afraid of somethings, Cruz opened the door. "H-Hi, Theo... are you feeling alright?", he said.

notdeadyet said Mutt paused and looked at Sol and ethan. "Are we gunna go to? Or whats the deal?"

Sol replied "It seems as though Slick knowes where he is going and i am entering the tournament so if you two want to join as well we should follow him" and Sol ran to catch up to Slick

"Alright." Muttdashes behind you as well, easily passing you up and catching up with slick. He is doing a poor job at hiding his natural abilities. "I guess il enter that tournament as well!"

Tyler walked down the hallway and saw Theo talking to Cruz. "Hey Theo, Cruz. Whatcha guys talking about?" He asked.

Meruin woke up, feeling well rested and smelling like fries. It wasn't a neccessarily bad smell, but it definitely wasn't one that belonged on a person.

Meruin decided to head back to her room for a bath and to review her books. Also, she needed to add more pages to her Grimoire. As it was, she was slightly disappointed that she hasn't progressed so far in creating her first personal spell.

"Oh hey Tyler I was just gonna ask Cruz could he come to my room an hour from now to help me upgrade my robotic arm with his knowledge of futuristic technology." Theo said glancing over to Cruz's direction.

On the way to her room, Meruin passed by Tyler, Theo and Cruz. At once, Meruin's curiosity was roused. She closed one eye and her other eye changed from green to red. She looked at Cruz and went even further by looking inside his room, all from where she was standing.

Aah, she thought, a gathering of Technomages? No, it's not that simple. It's . . . a gathering of technology and magic?

"How interesting," muttered the little magician, blinking her eyes and returning them to their usual vivid green.
