Sol looked at the view screen as it popped curiously. "Wow, that must be really helpful, especially for fighting. Having someone else give you a rundown on your opponent while knowing your own limits must be very helpful." Sol pondered out loud. "Don't worry about babbling I sometimes ramble when i got into a good talk about swords." Sol replied to Cruz's embarrassed comment. Then he looked over at the new student as Cruz did, "Well if you want him to make lots of friends then there's no better place to start then with us!" Sol said grinning and having said so grabbed Cruz's arm and dragged him over to James. "Heya there!" he said cheerfully, "Cruz and I, my name's Sol, are gonna be your new friends here. Guessing from your interest in the Soul Rune i would guess you're one of them intellectual types am i right?" Sol finished quickly.

James stopped and turned to look at Sol. "well, I guess you could call me intellectual," he said. "I've actually taken the time to train in so many things other than my actual specialty that I had to fragment my personality into 99 more of 'Me'."

"You are correct, I do specialize in water. And I'm sure you can challenge Meruin, although it will hurt if you couldn't tell from my battle." Tyler remarked as he followed her gaze. "It looks like I would have been fighting you sooner rather than later anyways. I'm rank 20."

"Oh, I am not interested in fighting Meruin right now, I want to fight one of those two who seems to be her teachers. It looks fun." Liz had a dangerous grin "I want to see how strong they are compared to us so I can tell how strong I might be able to get one day." She explained and got up from the table "I am going to go ask.

Liz walked over to Chase and Reina and bowed her head slightly "Meruin's teachers, I want to challenge one of you to a fight." For a change Liz was showing respect to the older mages "Or if you think that just me fighting one of you on my own would not be enough I can also ask for a partner." She spoke eagerly.

Reina and Chase paused in their actions. The white haired Archmage raised a brow, while Chase began grinning veeeeeeerrry slowly. "Hoh~? Did I just hear what I think I just heard? You know, I don't think I've been challenged to a duel in the last . . . how many years was it now Reina?"

"Seventy-seven years. In case you forgot, that challenge was issued by the Grand Water Elemental Undine right after you defeated Poseidon after you sunk at Atlantis . . . erm, sunk it even lower anyway," said Reina, grimacing as she remembered that particular event. "That being said, are you said, little one, you do realize that this will not be so much a fight and more of a one-sided bag toss, yes?"

Meruin was thinking much the same as Reina was. "Liz, while I'm sure my Master and Lady will not do you any permanent harm, what exactly do you hope to accomplish?"

Liz shrugged "I want to see true power and get stronger myself to accomplish some of my own goals, fighting strong people is how that works usually so here I am against even the headmasters wishes requesting a duel." She then gave off a care free grin "I don't care how badly I lose this one, If I die then that is the end of my journey and my goals will be left unfulfilled which I wont let happen so I don't plan on dying here."

Liz's carefree face then vanished into a glare as she looked at Chase "There is also something inside me telling me to break your bones right now so thats another reason I want to fight right now." The girl spoke even her words turning cold towards Chase.

Chase did nothing else but laugh! She liked the spunk of this girl, even if she did wonder what had gotten into her suddenly. Meruin, for her part, looked like she had an epiphany. Oh, of course. She's part water elemental . . .

"Hahahaha! Yes, that is a good attitude! I, Chase Asu du Morgan, the Golden Empress, accept your challenge!"

Reina shook her head and sighed. "Well, if that's what you want, I've no reason to stop you. Very well. Do you want to do this alone, or perhaps you'd like a partner to help?"

Sol's jaw dropped, "99 personalitys! Wow last i checked i only had like three. You must know like everything." He looked at Liz curiously. "Hmm why is she acting so mean, I thought she was a nice person. Wierd." Sol said curiously.

"Liz I expect you to treat our guests better than this." The old headmaster rumbled, "If you can't behave civilly I will have to deal with you in one way or the other. In any case if either of you two ladies seek to show Liz what she's up against feel free to do so. Even if you can't control yourselfs i will make sure it doesn't get out of hand." He said grinning cheerfully at the two master magicians.

She broke out of her glare and looked at the headmaster "Oh, sorry about that sir." Liz bowed and turned back to Chase "Thank you for accepting my challenge as well." She then turned and looked at the other students "I wont force anyone to help me with this but it would be appreciated if someone volunteered." Liz asked the other students and awaited to see if anyone would respond.

James looked at Liz. "I'll help," he said, starting to unwrap the bandages on his hands. Of course, as soon as he unwrapped them, the power emanating off his hands could probably be sensed from the other side of the school, meaning that all of his power was obviously channeled through his hands.

Liz nodded and tackled him "Thank you very much...person~" She grinned sheepishly as she did not actually know this person yet "My names Liz, I specialize in water without giving too much away." The girl whispered and turned to get her back pulling out a different water bottle then usual with this water bottle having what seemed like glowing water in it "Are you ready then Chase? I don't want you to hold back on this fight even if the odds are against us."

"My name is James, but where I come from they called me the Hundred-Faced Demon," he said. "And you'll find out my ability soon enough."

" If she dies, do I get her rank? Actually, who's rank 19?" Tyler asked the headmaster.

"Er now that you mention i don't really now." Said the headmaster scratching his head quizzically. "Though i assure you if won't come to death, I'll take care of that if we come to it." he said confidently.

Mutt took the first brave steps into the cave. The floor was a tad bit moiste, but didnt much seem to bother him. He sniffed about a few times, and shriveled his face in disgust. "Oh yeah..." He mumbled. "Something lives in here." He rubbed the back side of his hand against his nose, trying to forget the scent. "Its pretty deep in there too."

"I hope its something we could fight. I haven't worked out my muscles since I've been here." Kevin kept watch and kept his defenses up. "Led the way K9!" He shouts playfully.

"Are you joking? Of course I'm holding back," said a grinning Chase. Then she let loose her aura. It was simply a byproduct of her being powerful, but the hum of power caused by her very existence rang golden throughout the earth. Chase sat crossed-legged while floating on the air, looking down on James and Liz, "not to belittle you, but going all out isn't an option for me against you two; it isn't worth it."

She looked at Reina, "Can you give us a nice playground, pretty please?" In response, her Rival sighed but complied. Muttering one word under her breath, the Headmaster, Tyler, Meruin, Chase, Liz and James found themselves surrounded by an entirely different scenery. It was a thick jungle with various ruins scattered here and there. Nearby, the sea waved back and forth on a pristine white beach.

"Thank you very much, Reina. Now . . . entertain me, children," said the Golden Empress.

Liz cracked her fingers as the new scenery took effect before putting one hand on the ground sensing the water going through the plants in the jungle as well as the ocean nearby meaning their was going to be plenty of resources for her to work with "This scenery does me fine, thank you very much." She thanked Meruin's master and took a few steps back "Don't get upset if I break your hands if you insist on holding back." Liz started making a dash for the beach throwing out different colored stones into the air behind her which promptly exploded around the 3 of them providing more cover as she ran, Liz had no intention of revealing her tricks too early to someone who could probably counter them in a second.

Arriving at the beach Liz opened her water bottle taking a sip of it and then started pouring it on the sand forming a magic circle. When completed the circle seemed to have no effect but Liz still seemed happy with it and took on her water form feeling confident that she was ready "The ocean will have its revenge." She muttered with a dark grin.

James finished unwrapping his hands and reached out and touched Liz's arm, which would cause her power to amplify to the point that she was almost as powerful as a water god.

Tyler frowned as they were transported to a jungle of some sort. He looked over at Liz and shook his head. Tyler felt a sudden power increase from her all of a sudden when the new student touched her and smiled. "Now this is interesting."

James cringed slightly. "There ya go. Now try not to destroy the school or kill everyone," he said, before with a flick of his wrist he was holding a sword he had hidden in his sleeve. He looked around "Now everyone who's not part of this fight might want to step back."

Tyler stepped away as he began mentally noting the surroundings. "Amazon perhaps?" He asked himself about the jungle.

Reina who was levitating Meruin and herself, nodded at Tyler. "Yes, actually. This it the place where Herakles once visited them, and Hera got queen Hippolyta killed." As James touched Liz, Reina frowned. "What a disgusting ability that is."
Meruin for her part was wondering when Lady Chase would get bored and just blow up the whole island.

Chase just floated there, occasionally stretching if things went on to long.
