[IC] ODSTs: Hunters Become Hunted (Datadogie + kalinsovrin)

"You weren't down there today its all going to hell." Victor said.

"Go on I will make up my mind based on the goal of the mission." James said.

[datadogie]

"It could be a variety of missions. Hunting rebels, hunting the aliens, sabotaging, many things I believe you would do good on." Mary smiles slightly at him.

"I saw on the satellite feed. Listen, we are going to win this war." Helen pats Victor's shoulder.

[kalinsovrin]

" then i guess i will stay here until i die." James said jokingly.

" they make us MIA when we are killed and i think that even reach wont be able to stop this amount of force." Victor says sadly.

[datadogie]

"Victor. Snap out of it. Stop talking like that." Helen's face turns to one of annoyance. "It's annoying." A tear falls down her cheek.

Mary cocks her head. "And by that you mean, you will accompany me?" She asks.

[kalinsovrin]

"Look I just want to see the others again." Victor said

"Yes." James said bluntly.

[datadogie]

"Which Spartan doesn't want everyone to get together again?" Helen replies.

"Great. Now, we need to talk to Sarah once she is feeling better, and Victor. Maybe even Helen." Mary says, smiling.

[kalinsovrin]

"Sarah will follow me no mater where we go. We have been together since I became a squad leader. But I will ask her if she wants to stay with us."

Victor looked out a window as the alien ships started to glass the planet.

[datadogie]

Helen walks up beside him, and sighs, lowering her head a little.

"Okay. Can you ask her, then. I'm going to ask Victor and Helen." Mary smiles at him. "By the way, this cabin is now yours and Sarah's. We're a little low on cabins right now, so you'll have to share for now." Mary turns and walks out of the door.

[kalinsovrin]

James nodded and left to go to the med bay.

Victor walked to the punching bag and started to beat it to a pile of stuffing.

[datadogie]

Helen sits down and watched Victor, sighing. She then turned and watched Mary walk in. She instantly stood and saluted Mary.

"At ease." Mary says. "I need to talk to you both." She says.

Sarah was still lying on the medical bed, sighing softly.

[kalinsovrin]

James walked into the med bay and over to sit next to sarah. He had taken off his armor a while ago. He smiled at her and then said " looks like I still owe you some things." He was trying to joke with her.

Victor just went on hitting the punching bag.

[datadogie]

Sarah looks up at him slowly. "Like what?" She asks, smiling a little.

Helen nods, then looks at Victor. "Victor. Come on." She says. Mary just sighs and shakes her head, sitting down to wait for him to calm down.

[kalinsovrin]

" i owe you anything that you want for the next few weeks. its my fault that you almost died today." James says.

Victor in the end punches the bag and it breaks in half. he sighes and then turns and stays standing.

[datadogie]

"Are you quite done?" Mary asks, staring at Victor. Helen remains silent.

Sarah shakes her head. "No it isn't. It's nobody's fault." She says.

[kalinsovrin]

victor was silent and just stood there.

James smiled and said " we have been given the chance to join Mary and stay here with the two spartans on the ship. we would go on secret missions. i have already taken to the idea but i wont force you to join me here it up to you."

[datadogie]

Mary sighs, and waits for a reply.

Sarah stays still for a few moments, then lays back a little. "I think... Maybe." She smiles. "You know what. Sure. As soon as I get out of the bed, which should be in ten minutes."

[kalinsovrin]

Victor was silent but motioned for her to speak.

James smiled at her and said " you never will stay down when injured will you?"

[datadogie]

Mary saw the movement, and began to speak. "I've been assigned to create a small task force for ONI, lead by me. I wish for you both to be with me, as you would be very valuable assets to have." Mary smiles very shyly.
Helen cocks her head. "What type of missions would be be assigned to?" She asks.
"All sorts. Stealth, assault, recon. Things like that. But it could really be anything." Mary replies.

"What, do you want me to stay down? Okay. I'll make sure I do next time around." Sarah giggles a tiny bit.

[kalinsovrin]

" its just you get hurt and keep going. what if you get a fatal wound that could be fixed but you kept going and died?" james asked her

Victor was silent for a while and then said " Yes" and that was all.

[datadogie]

"Then I died with honor." Sarah thinks for a moment, then looks up at James' face. "Why are you asking me this?"

Helen nods. "Sure." She says, then looks at Victor sympathetically.

Mary smiles softly. "Okay. I'm going to check up on the other one that will hopefully join the team. I'll be seeing you guys soon." She leaves the room.
