[IC] ODSTs: Hunters Become Hunted (Datadogie + kalinsovrin)

"Its been 4 years that we have worked together I don't want to lose a good friend." He said.

Victor turned and walked to his cabin to rest for a bit.

Sarah smiles at him. "That's... Kind of sweet." She says to James, smiling.

Mary begins to walk the corridors of the ship. Suddenly, her earpiece buzzes, and she quickly goes into her cabin to make a call to someone important.

Helen sighs, and heads to her own cabin.

Zee, who was monitoring every part of the ship's systems, noted that Sarah, James, Helen and Victor had joined Mary's team. She began to wonder if Mary was going to take anyone else on her team.

James just smiled and stayed silent.

Victor stayed in his armor as he fell asleep.

Sarah watches as a man walks up to her and James, a uniform folded in his arms. He puts it down at the foot of Sarah's medical bed. "Checks have come in, and you're good." He says, then walks away. Sarah then stands. "You might wanna get out of the curtain

Mary walks out of the cabin, and opens her mouth to say something, but is interrupted by Zee speaking into her earpiece. "I heard the conversation. Also, you'll be happy to know that Sarah is joining the operation." Mary smiles as a reply, and walks back into the cabin. "I'm going to get us a ship, then. A small prowler would do us good."

Helen sits on her bed, and closes her eyes, resting them but not falling asleep.

James nodes and then leaves the med bay he waits out in the hall. He thinks about what to say if anyone tries to keep key parts of a mission from him now.

Sarah closes the curtain, and quickly slips on the uniform, before opening the curtain again and walking out to the hall. "What now, then? Mess hall? I'm quite hungry." She states.

James nodded and walked with Sarah to the mess hall. He grabbed a basic field ration kit and sat down at a table.

Sarah grabbed a basic field ration then sat down across from James, beginning to eat, smiling.

James ate slowly. He was happy that they would be able to stay together as a small team.

"So, I have to wonder. Are we going to be working for ONI now?" Sarah says through her eating.

Zee managed to acquire a small prowler, one that would normally have a crew off 150, and sent it a signal for it to be left for a high priority mission. The message would arrive before Cloaked Dagger would, so the ship would be empty. Perfect for Mary and her team. Zee then put Cloaked Dagger into a slipspace jump.

"In one way or another we have always been working for ONI. They gave the orders of where to drop and we followed. They pull the strings of this puppet when ever they want." James said and then smiled.

Victor woke a while later and then walked the halls of the ship.

Mary fell asleep in her cabin.

Sarah smiles, and finishes the food. "I guess so. ONI probably knows the future, since they seem to know everything." She giggles, and stands, stretching.

Zee noted that Victor was walking around the halls, and was still in his armour. She opened up a COM channel with him, and spoke. "Hello there!" She says suddenly, with a very cheerful tone. "You don't mind if I pop in for a chat, do you? Of course you don't!" Zee giggles.

James laughed with her at the thought.

Victor isolated the com channel and muted it. He didn't feel like talking right now. A few moments later and he saw it had been unmuted. " what do you want that you overrode the mute on this channel?" He asked.

"I want you to work for the Insurrection, and kill all of the UNSC." Zee says sarcastically. She then starts to laugh.

"I need a nap." Sarah says. "Did I get assigned a cabin while I was in the medical ward?" She asks James, cocking her head.

[kalinsovrin]

"har har. i dont find that very funny and if you do it again i will come to the navigation room and slam your head into you monitors a few times. now what do you really want."

" we have to share a cabin down the hall from here. i thing i will spend a bit more time out and about" james said.

[datadogie]

"Okay, grumpy, I'll tell you. Go back into your cabin." Zee says.

Sarah giggles at the thought of sharing a cabin with James. "Okay. Make sure to come soon." She giggles again, and begins to walk to the cabin.

"I will be there soon we all need rest at some point." James said as he walked around in their hall checking where things were before heading to their room to sleep.

"You know full well that I don't have to do as you say. I have no reason to go back there right now. So if you don't mind I'm going to the gym and going to run some laps." Victor said as he re-muted the channel and walked to the gym. He went to the track and pulled up a file of the reach training grounds and matched it to their track. He then started jogging.

Zee did the equivalent of a groan, and hacked into the channel again to say one sentence;
"I guess only Helen will have her pick of equipment, then." Zee giggles, and turns off the COM. She then contacts Helen, and tells her to make a list on her database of equipment she wanted.

Sarah sat in her bed, thinking hard about something. She was starting to develop something more than thinking of James as a friend. All of the giggling, the more frequent jokes she was making, it made sense to her now.
She was developing a crush on him.

James slipped into their room with out a sound and then went over to his bed and lay down.

Victor shrugged he didn't need new weapons he had the only ones he needed. But if he needed a battle rifle he could always ask to borrow James's battle rifle.

Sarah saw James enter, and looked over to him with a shy smile, however she didn't say anything.

Zee began selecting all sorts of equipment that would be needed, and listed it all in a file. She then prepped the file to be ready to be sent as soon as they dropped out of slipspace.
