[OOC] The Beast from the Hills

Fredrick Point,West Viriginia is your typical American small town. Everybody knows everyone and the people are friendly to the few outsiders who pass by the town looking for a spot to fish. The town is nestled below hills that surround it on all sides except to its south where a small lake rest. Fredrick Point,for many years has had a extremely low crime rate with only the occasional theft from the local grocery store. In return the small police force has had a very relaxed job but recently noises have been heard in the hills above. These sounds are only heard at night when few are awake and have scared those who have heard its ominous almost creaking noise from above. This has been going on for three days but now as the fourth day's sun is going down a unnatural presences will change the town forever.

3. Do not control other peoples characters.
4. Characters will die mostly if you do something dumb like attack the beast with a fork or something like that.
5.If you need help or if you need to ask a question go for it I won't bite.
6. Ideas are welcome but I already have a general direction for this.Still if you think your idea is awesome ask away I may change my mind.
7. Don't be a hostile.
8. You can be anybody but remember officers will have better equipment then a average joe.
9.The limit for officers is 3 and there can be 2 detectives.
10. Be active.I want this to be a fast pace mystery RP.

Personality: Wary and cautious, likes to think realistically. Is often serious and on task, but can sometimes get sidetracked, given it is something important. She is a hard worker, and usually does not know what to do with free time. She can come across as angry or unpleasant at times.
Occupation: detective
Equipment: pistol, wallet, dagger, pack of cigarettes, lighter
Bio: Bonnie grew up in a rural town just outside of Fredrick Point. She grew up working the land with her family and eventually got her own farm when she married her husband at age 22. Four years after they married, they had two sons and life was good until one day, Bonnie went out to buy farm equipment. When she came home, the barn was on fire with both her husband and her sons inside. She could do nothing to help them and they perished. Angered by this, she got interested in detective work, looking around the rubble of her barn for clues or signs of what had happened and who had done this. Eventually, the government confiscated her land due to unpaid land taxes and Bonnie was forced to move. She moved to non other than Fredrick Point where she works as a detective and lives in a small apartment.

I am on this site daily so an active, fast pace RP is really what I need so hopefully this will work out. Also, what year do you picture this taking place?

Appearance: Don't mind it being in black and white
Personality:A very relaxed,friendly, and funny officer. He doesn't take things to seriously but is very superstitious thanks to his childhood where his parents would tell him tales.
Occupation:Police Officer
Equipment: .38 special pistol,Baton,flashlight,and pocketknife
Bio:Andrew was born and raised in Fredrick Point. He was always listening to his parents tales of Ghost and Voodoo which he became very interested in. When Andrew became a teenager he would go up to the hills that surrounded the town and would investigate the fabled treasure that was buried there during the Civil War. Of course he never found it but still never gave up. When he graduated High school he decided to become a officer of the force and left for the academy. For years he was a officer of Wheeling,West Virginia but then he heard that Fredrick Point needed someone and returned back to his old home.He has been there for 10 years and enjoys every bit of it. However the recent noises in the Hills have scared him and have put him on edge.

I am a torn on how this creature is going to look.I was maybe going for a slime kind of beast but now I saw this worm type creature that might be interesting to use. Any suggestions?

Appearance: tall, dark hair, brown eyes, brown skin (hispanic) average-looking guy.
Personality: quiet but sometimes a bit self-centered. generally "nice"
Occupation: office worker
Equipment: wallet, writing utensils, picture of passed daughter and wife.
Bio (It doesn't have to be long): Luciano, or Luke for short, grew up in the city, but decided to move to Fredrick Point shortly after his wife and daughter died. there had been a house fire, leaving the man with no place to go. he decided to move into his parents' vacation home in the small town. they never used it, so they had no problem with his staying there. shortly after moving into town, he found a job and easily settled into the slow, nondescript life of an office worker.

note: i'm not used to this kind of RP so it might take me a while to get ahold of it.

One more thing before I get off. We need to decide where everyone is going to start off at. I say that Zmerr and my character are at the small local bar that stays open late because Zmerr character is unemployed and is drinking to cheer himself up.My character since he is a cop is also at the bar making sure nobody is getting to drunk. While czechmate character is out looking for clues when she has a brief encounter with the beast and drives back to the bar to tell what just happened. Tell me what you guys think.
