But Netherlands is awesome as well! It has a lot of history, not that I remember too specific things about it, your country is just mentioned everywhere 'x), and it has adorable views. I would really love to visit there one day. I even consider it a possible place to study aboard, though I'm more interested in Germany and Scotland. There I could actually understand the local language. And that song is rather interesting. I can't help but wonder what the man is actually thinking. :DAand one more question! In which age it is possible to get a moped lisence?
AlidaMaria said Oh we have tons of exchange students and especially in students cities such as Amsterdam and Groningen (the latter is the better in my opinion ghehe) you won't have any problem fitting in because there are lots of foreign students and almost everyone speaks English. But I can imagine wanting to speak the local language:) And just say the word if you need a place to stay if you one day plan to come down here on a vacation or such. There are more than enough people who'd love to host a Fin if you know where to find them :p
Concerning our history; during the 17th century, sure we were rich and powerful. These days however, we just like to think that we still are xD But well, it's an interesting fact that the American declaration of independence was based on ours and if the English hadn't beaten us, America would be 'New Holland' and the Americans would all speak Dutch and we wouldn't have to learn 4 different languages lol. "What-if-history" it sure is nice to dream. :) The biggest problem I personally have with The Netherlands is the lack of mountains really ...the landscape is so flat that it's boring and I have fallen in love with the German mountains. Who knows, one day I might move there... Oh and if the sealevel rises high enough to let the dams break, we'll all drown xD
