[IC] Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel of the Heavens (Jazz & MegaraFoxfire)

[Jazz]

The ball seemed to be going rather well, the talkers welcomed them and told them about everyone's profiles being over at the stage as well as the screens displaying them. Yami had walked with Maggie during the short time, almost feeling as if this was all a dream. Maggie next to dressed in the most beautiful dress that he had ever seen. Of course he couldn't get too distracted for they were on a mission of their own besides having fun. Kaiba was trying to keep things in check and having to talk to the other company CEOs and officials. Plus with Tea, Joey and the gang keeping an eyes on duelists. Yami was doing the same but he was trying to feel relaxed. This should be something he should be use to. But this era was still new to him and he had to feel less like a pharaoh and more like a regular person. Plus with the world at stake, the pharaoh couldnt be too tense in case he was to give himself away.

Maggie had stopped dead and said "Yami...we have a unwanted guest." She nodded to the far side of the ballroom to see Drake leaning against the wall, wearing a blood red suit set, his eyes on Maggie.

Yugi and Tea were looking around, while Raph tapped Joey and Tristen on the shoulders. "Guys, Drake is here. Maggie just spotted him. We better make sure Kabia doesn't see him or he might blow our covers..."

[Jazz]

Yami noticed her stop dead and look over in the direction Maggie was looking in to see Drake on the far side of the ballroom. "He must be participating in the duel. But why is he looking at you?" he asked with some concern. He didn't know the relationship between the two but he was cautious of what he was had going through his mind.

Joey and Tristen were standing in a part of the ballroom where Joey felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning his head to see who was behind, only for it to be Raph. When Raph informed them of Drake, Joey felt a shiver run down his spine. "Yeah. I'll go find Kaiba. Might want to tell Adam if you haven't already." With that said, Wheeler disappeared into the crowd while went into another direction.

Maggie frowned and said "He wants me to know that his watching...like he always has been since we first dueled..." She pulled Yami with her towards the wall. "Just ignore him...his trying to get in our heads. Like his masters... "

Raph nodded but they all heard in their ear pieces "We already know. I was going thru the list of dueliests, and Drake's pic came up but not his name. On here his John McCune..." Mai looked at the others nad said "Isn't that the CEO's last name?" Tea nodded and Yugi said "It is...he must be here not only to duel but keep an eye on things"

Yami nodded slowly as he followed her toward a wall. Unsure as to why but he looked back to see him one last time before ignoring Drake. "Would you like something to drink?" He asked her, hoping to take her mind off of Drake. However when he thought this might do the trick, Yami listened to Adam and was listening to everyone else. "I agree with Yugi on this. But that makes me wonder if there is another reason." He looks to Maggie.
"But if he's doing that, is his name Drake or John? That I don't understand all." Joey said, feeling highly confused.

Maggie nodded and said "A drink would help..." Then looked at Yami as he spoke. "What are you thinking, Yami?"

Adam said "Its drake, but his using the CEO's son's name...this Dark Riders are really sick. YOu guys need to be careful out there. I highly doubt Drake is there alone"

[Jazz]

Yami guided Maggie to the where the drinks were and got him some water, letting pick her own drink while he listened to Adam. He then had his attention to Maggie. "I had a thought. Adam only confirmed it. It is nothing now." Yami said before he took a drink from his cup. He looked around before releasing a heavy sigh. Guessing with all that was going on, he may not get a dance in with Maggie. It would be okay though. he would live. Making sure the Dark Riders were stopped was more important.

Maggie took a drink and said "Lets dance. We have to get our minds off of this tonight...Drake can't do anything to hurt anyone tonight..."

Raph went to Allan and Alistair and said "Keep your eyes on him, I'll keep eyes on...oh boy" He saw Joey and Mokuba trying to keep Kaiba away from Drake. He tapped his ear wig and said "Maggie, yami and you better get over to Kaiba and stop him from killing Drake"

[Jazz]

Yami perked up when he heard Maggie say about dancing. He wondered if he was hearing this wrong or was not believing it. However he was take this opportunity and make this night better before hell rained upon them tomorrow. Setting his cup aside, he held his hand out to her with a smile on his lips. "Maggie? Ma-" However to his dismay, the pharaoh was interrupted by the sound of Raph's voice. Hearing what was going on, Yami looked around to see Seto storming over to Drake while Joey and Mokuba tried to stop him. Yami was rather shocked that Seto would show such actions here. Yami looked over to Maggie before he walked quickly through the crowd to get to Seto before Seto got to Drake.
Thankfully, Yami got there in time for them to be a good distance away and not to cause a scene. "Calm down Kaiba. Don't try and cause a scene now infront of everyone." Yami said, getting in front of Seto and putting a hand on his chest.
Seto growled, though stopped by not only Mokuba and Joey, but now Yami. He felt the pharaoh's hand on his chest as Joey grabbed his wrist. "Calm down, man. Don't do this here. You're gonna blow our cover." Joey said next as Seto stayed put and growled. He was still tempted to clock Drake a new one.

Mokuba took Seto's hand and said "Please, brother, don't let him get to you...his not worth it" Then Maggie walked by them and went straight to Drake who smiled at her. "My lady, may I have this dance?" She nodded and said "Of course..." He took her hand and lead her to the dance floor, her eyes cold as he smiled at her again. She said "What are you doing here, drake? Or should I call you John?" Drake nodded and said "The name was a little twisted...but it was the masters idea" Maggie put her mouth to his ear and said "You go near Yami again, and you will wish I had banished you that first time we dueled" Drake nodded nad said "I do as my masters ask...but I won't let him get you killed again"

Seto glared to Drake when Mokuba grabbed his hand. Calming down, he stood straight and looked to his brother and then to Yami as Joey let go of his hand and Yami's hand left his chest. "You may want to save your girlfriend." Seto said, his gaze on Drake and Maggie as they were dancing. Yami looked in the direction Seto was looking and seemed a little upset. But he was sure Maggie had her reasons. Walking toward the dance floor, Yami stopped and watched the two dance a bit longer about ten more minutes or so. He was a bit nervous and now proclaim that he was a bit jealous. Jealousy was soon gone fore he had took a deep breath before walking up to Drake and Maggie. Tapping Drake's shoulder politely, Yami looked to Drake with a polite smile. "Mind if I cut in?"

Drake moved back and glared at him. "Only this once...I don't plan on letting you stay with her long...getting her killed once in a life time is enough...don't you think?" He walked away and Maggie grabbed Yami's hand. "Is Seto going to be able to keep his cool? I didn't want Drake to see him getting to him"

[Jazz]

Yami kept his composure as Drake glared at him and growled at him for something back then that was not in his control no mater how much he wished that he could have done better. Thoughts interrupted by Maggie's hand grabbing his, the pharaoh looked at her, letting the question repeat in his mind before answering. "Yes. He will be fine. He still seems upset when Drake held Mokuba hostage. Though I do not blame him, he should have known better." Yami told her. for now though, he wanted to forget it all and dance with Maggie like he hoped would happen. "May I have this dance, Zahrra? (I forgot how to spell it :( )" Yami asked Maggie with a warm smile, taking her hand in his. Maybe something like would go right.

Maggie smiled and said "yes you may, my dear prince Atem" she put her hands in his and let him lead, smiling softly at him. Yugi and tea smiled as they saw the pair and Mai said " well yami looks pretty right there. Don't you think so Joey?" She knew he could hear her thru the coms.

Adam was working on the laptop with Bakura watching when she said "hold on a sec.....this isn't right. Bakura, Come make sure I'm reading this right." He pointed at the screen which was showing the duelist list. A few of the names would look familiar to the white haired duelist, names that shouldn't be there.

[Jazz]

His smile grew as Yami put his left on hand on her waist and held her hand with his right, leading them both within the dance floor. Yami wears actually abit surprised he could dance like this but it didnt seem to matter for he was enjoying the night already, hoping Maggie was as well. "Yep. True dat." Joey said that sounded almost proud.

Bakura was watching the cameras while Adam was looking at the list. Everything seemed to be going alright. Not great but alright. Upon watching the videos, Bakura looked over to Adam and leaned over to see what the fuss was about. But once he saw the fuss, Bakura understood. "I don't understand either. How is that possible. Should we wait after or during?" He asked with concern and worry obvious in his voice.

Mai said " Joey....do me a favor. Help me make sure he doesn't lose that smile, alright?" Maggie looked at him and said " is it everything you hoped for?"

Adam said "just tell the guys, lets not worry Maggie and yami just yet....so much for this being a easy night"

[Jazz]

Joey laughed a little, "I been trying to keep a smile on his face for sometime. But yeah, I promise."
The pharaoh hadn't taken his eyes off Maggie since they started dancing, honestly nervous about it all till it happened. Surprising that he was able to dance and not have to pay attention to where he was stepping. "That and more, Zahrra. I am glad that I got to dance with you."

Bakura nodded. "Alright...." turned on the comm link to only everyone else but Yami and Maggie. "Guys we have a problem..." So he tells them the few participants that Adam noticed. "Adam doesnt want Yami and Maggie to know just yet."

Zahara smiled and said "We only did get once dance before...hopefully it will happen more in this life"
Mai nodded as Yugi and Tea heard Bakura's news. Yugi looked at Mai and said "Weevil? Rex? We haven't seen them here, and we would have heard them by now. And I thought Bandit Keith was still in America getting over being mind controlled?" Mai said "WE would have heard if any of the other guys had joined up...I'm not liking this at all"

[Jazz]

"I hope so as well." Atem slowly came to a stop when the song did and was transitioning into another. "Would you like to continue dancing, Zahara?"

Joey looked confused and as he looked back to Kaiba and Mokuba. "Really? Why won't they just stop? They been in so many of these rigged duels its not even funny. When did they sign up, Adam?"

Adam searching for a few minutes then said "A month ago...when the location changed and McCune took over. They were the first names put down. Hold on, I have to ask MAggie something." Maggie was about to say yes to Yami when Adam's voice went off in her ear "Didn't you say a lot of old time big name dueliests went missing?" Maggie held up a finger to Yami and said "Ya, some big shots from the Duelist Kingdom and Battle City, the toraments before those mostly. Why?" Adam cursed and said "The Riders are using their marks real names. Rex Raptor, or known by his real name Richard Coles. And Weeve Underwood, aka Will Leeach. And Bandit Keith aka..." Maggie finished for him "Ken Randell...all fake names. The riders are hiding their other pawns with the real names of the duelists they have taken"
