[IC] Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel of the Heavens (Jazz & MegaraFoxfire)

[Jazz]

Yami was waiting for Maggie's answer when Maggie silently told him to hang on. That was okay, he could wait. He hadn't paid attention really for it wasn't his business no matter how curious he was.
Bakura looked at the names once again before nodding a little. "These guys just don't have a boundary do they? They seem to be much worse than what we have seen before. I would be careful."

Maggie looked at Yami and said "We need to get to the others. More unfriendlys then we thought" She tapped her ear wig and said "Raph? Get eyes on everyone. Now" Raph nodded and looked around. "GUys, get everyone in one space, even Kaiba and Mokuba..."

[Jazz]

Yami cursed in his mind but nodded and slide his hand into hers before looking around. His free hand was fiddling with the chain of the millennium puzzle before he found a very less crowded area near the entrance. He used his ear piece to contact everyone. "There is open area near the entrance. Go there." Guiding Maggie toward the entrance.
"On our way Yami.' Joey said as he turned to Mokuba and Seto. "Maggie and Yami need us, somethin's up." Joey told them as Seto nodded and motioned for Mokuba to follow. Valon and Alister did the same.

Maggie let yami lead her over to the side while raph got yugi, tea and tristen and Mai and they all gathered there. Maggie tapped the ear piece again and said "Adam, fill in everyone in on what you just told me" Adam filled them in as raph stood by valon and Alister. "This is not good...feels like we are out numbered"

Yami, Joey and Tristan listened to what Adam told them. None of them liking this one bit. Yami looked over to Yugi with concern. "It seems this time many things are set against us. For instance, being outnumbered. We will need to be more aware of our surroundings and the people we gain help from if we are to do so." He told them, soon looking over to Maggie. Joey was trying to keep his cool for he too felt a bit of the stress. "You gotta be kiddin'! What are we to do now?"

Maggie sighed and rubbed her nose as she thought. Then she said "just think of it like any other tournament. Duel to win. Forget the stressful stuff until your off the dueling field. It's the only way we are going to get thru this" yugi nodded and said "we've been they worse guys. At least we have our friends here to help us out"

[Jazz]

Yami nodded in agreement to the points given from Maggie and Yugi. "They are right. Even we shouldn't try to concern ourselves too much about this. We came to this party to scout out our competition and see how many dark riders are here while trying to have a little bit of fun." Yami told him as well as himself. Seto nodded in agreement. "It is 8:36. The party doesn't end till midnight."

Maggie nodded as yugi said "then let's try and have some fun" the others nodded but Maggie looked on edge. "I'm going to get some air" she headed to the balcony area, running her fingers thru her hair. Raph said "I know that look...the fighter in her is wanting to be cut loose "

Yami watched Maggie walk over to the balcony area to get some air. Unsure as to what was going through her mind, He looked over to Raph who spoke before turning his attention to Maggie once again. "You all go have fun. I will be back." The pharaoh told them all as he walked toward the balcony. Joey and Tristen looked at each other before looking at everyone else. "I don't want to sound rude but Yami's been really clingy to Maggie lately. Is he okay?" Joey asked.

Yugi sighed but Raph answered for him. "Yes, he is. It's just a lot to handle. Learning you had the love of your life, then learning she died to save you, then now she's here now in his life, a life time where they can be together. I would be clingy as well. Wouldn't you?"

Maggie leaned against the railing, her eyes closed. She needed to get a grip. Lives were at risk, but this wasn't like before. She had a team now that could help. She needed to let them and not go Guardian on them.

Joey thought about it for few minutes. "Now that I think about, I probably would too. Guess I never thought about it is all." Joey said with a sly grin.
Yami silently walked onto the balcony and stood beside her wrapping a comforting arm around her. "Are you going to be alright?" Yami asked.

Yugi looked at raph, surprised he knew yami so well. Raph said "it's better if we say at least in pairs. Mr. Kaiba, what did you learn from your research and talking to the other big shots?"

Maggie sighed and said "yes...I just needed a few minutes. I want to take all the riders down right now....so badly but I can't. The guardian side of me wants to take control but it's not the smart move right now"

[Jazz]

Seto turned his attention to Raph when he asked. "Either they know nothing or they are keeping completely quiet about it." Seto told them with some annoyance in his voice.
"I bet they are keeping it really quiet." Joey said, knowing that anything like that would result that with an either/or situation it would be them doing the one thing that was worse.

Yami would really have no idea how that felt but he understood how it felt just to get something done and over with. "We will stop them. I know we will. Patience will help."

Raph sighed and said "I wish we had more info....valon? Alister? You got anything?"

Maggie nodded, her eyes still closed. "It's like the night the palace was attacked....after you were pharoh for a year and that nut job priest had summoned monsters to take you....all the pressure and energy of that fight....and I was so scared I would lose you..."

[Jazz]

"Nah. Sadly not. checked the sheets of the duelists. Different variety of Duelists, skills, ect. Unless Adam and Bakura can find anything else, they have better access to knowledge like this than us. No one here is gonna spill anything tonight." Alister told them.

"Its vague, but I remember. That night scared me as well. But this will be completely different from that night. Different stakes and dangers. Something we will now face together with out friends." Yami told her, leaning his head on hers while his arms was still around her waist.

Raph nodded and said "alright. Let's just keep an eye on things. Alister keep an eye on yami and Maggie" Yugi looked at Joey and said " maybe we should head back to our room"

She looked at him, worry in her eyes. That night was fresh in her mind. He didn't know everything that had happened, and she prayed he never would. "Yami...I'm scared...what if I can't fight this..."

Alister nodded, "On it." And so he went toward the balcony but kept his distance. "He would pay attention to who went to see them and when they would come back in. Joey nodded as he looked toward the rest. "Anyone else wanna come with?"

Yami could somewhat understand why she was worried and scared. He was worried and scared as well. Worried about all his friends and Maggie, Scared of losing everything including his friends and Maggie. He was scared that he would lose the duel and lose his soul. Turning to face her, the pharaoh wrapped his other arm around her and brought her close, wanting to comfort her. "You can. Where did the woman who was all confident and try to keep me out of this, Wanting to handle it all on her own?" He asked, as if tryng to help lighten the mood up, to bring a small smile to her face. "My friends and I are all you. The bikers, Seto, and Mai are also here to help. Even your friend Adam and your father who is with us spiritually. We will fight this fight together." He told her with confidence and a soft, soothing tone.

Tea nodded but Mai said "I'm going to see what more info I can gather....besides, if something happens I want to be here to help" raph nodded and said "Valon can go up with you guys...I want to keep my eyes on the two of them and drake...I don't trust that guy"

Maggie looked at him, almost smiling. She remembered the night she had said almost the same thing to him...

Atem was pacing outside on the balcony outside his room, still wearing his robes from the meeting he had had with the council. He jumped when he heard Zahra say " you should be asleep, my king. You've had a long day" he turned too see her walk out of the shadows, wearing her simple riding gear. "Zarha, where have you been?" She smiled and said "around. I was checking the border points for master seto. He was worried about the defenses. That last attack was too close to the palace for his nerves...which I agree" Atem walked over to her and said "I don't think I can do this....whatever is behind these attacks, it's stronger then anything we have ever seen...I'm not my father, I can't defend the whole kingdom..." Zahra looked at him then rested a hand on his cheek. "You are never alone, my little prince....you have your people, the guard, and the council all ready to be at your side....and you have me in the shadows ready to act on your behalf" she smiled and added "you are a great king....don't forget that"

Valon nodded going with Yugi and Joey to the room. Alister nodded, "ill got with Kaiba. No offense but we do nit a repeat of what happened with you and Drake." He said as Seto shrugged. "Whatever."

Yami remembered the memory all too well. He had forgotten before but he did after she had come into his life. "Would you like to go back inside and go dance? Or call it a night?" He asked her as he pulled away a little to see her pretty face.

Raph nodded and said "I'll stay with the pharoh and Maggie. Yugi? You heading back....yugi?" Yugi was looking at the stage, a confused look on his face. Someone was standing infront of it, his head down and wearing just a white shirt. He had been there a while and something wasn't right. Yugi said "guys....something isn't right here...,"

Maggie smiled and said "I think one more dance then..." Suddenly guardian and dark magician appeared and guardian said "we have a problem. Shadow magic. And it's getting stronger" Maggie looked around then pulled her pendent to look at it and it was glowing. "Oh no...."
