[IC] Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel of the Heavens (Jazz & MegaraFoxfire)

[Jazz]

Yami looked over to Maggie who was looking at the video feeds and heard what she said. "Except whoever saw it through the video feeds. Its better that no one else noticed it." He then looked back to the table of food. Joey and Tristen were trying to wait patiently and not dig in instantly. The pharaoh smiled at their patience.

Yugi and Tea came to the table as well as the others, Raph still talking to Valon and Alister. Maggie looked at the boys and said "Alright guys, dig in" Adam said "The opening of the games start in two hours. I doubt everyone will be dueling today, but we will need to come up with teams to make sure no one is alone"

once given permission to dig in, Joey and Tristen dug in. Making to leave some for everyone of course, Yami too got something eat and decided to take it upon himself to get some for Maggie and Yugi. It was a habit for to do this for Yugi when he had nightmares and.knew about them. Though he could.notice it physically from the way Yugi acted. He handed a plate to Maggie, then to Yugi. Offering his to Tea. "Here you go Tea." Not letting her.know that it was his.till he saw her next to Yugi. Yami got another plate before sitting down looking over toward Adam. "I thought we had an idea going of who was with whom."

Yugi smiled and nodded his thanks along with tea thanking him. Maggie smiled and said "I thought I was suppose to take care of you..." She took a few bites while Adam said "we did...until my little attack last night. Maggie doesn't want me alone..." Maggie looked at him and said "it could have killed you Adam, and what if it's worse next time. Yami do you think your white haired friend could stay with Adam?"

Yami was eating his breakfast as Maggie and Adam were talking, though listening. Looking over to Maggie, he nodded. "I can ask Ryo, but I am sure he will be willing to lend a hand still." Just after he said that, there was a knock on the door. Yami stood, setting his plate down and going to the door to open it. Opening the door, on the other side of it was Seto Kaiba, Mokuba, and Ryo Bakura. Yami smiled, glad to see them. "Good morning." Yami greeted. Seto smirked as Bakura smiled. Going in to the room and greeting the others. "good morning everyone." Bakura greeted. Yami shut the door when the Kaiba brothers came into the room. He sat back at the table. "Ryo? Would you mind staying with Adam if anything was to go wrong?" The Pharaoh asked. Bakura nodded. "Of course. I am willing to help anyway i can."

Mokuba walked in and said "wow, looks like you guys got enough food to feed an army. Good thinking, you got an hour before this thing starts, and everyone has to be there whose dueling" Maggie nodded and said "speaking of which...we need to talk about the groups. There are...five of us dueling in the tournament, so there needs to be a group with each duelist in case our duels are at the same time. We can use the same groups as last night, and raph, Alister and valon, will be with each group. I think we should also pull Mia into the groups as well, since she is a friend of yours....if I'm not missing anything are their any questions? I wanted to head down early and see if I can learn anything"

Joey had gone through his plate of food decently but during the explanation that Maggie was talking about, he began thinking which was sometimes a bad thing. 'Five? Wait a minute...Yami, Yugi, Maggie, Kaiba, Mai, and myself.' he used his fingers to count as he was going through the people in their group that signed up. "Wait. There are six of us that are dueling. She's already teamed up with us remember?" Joey spoke out. Yami looked over to his blonde friend, nodding as he remembered. "That's right, She did."

Maggie blinked and said "right...of course, my mistake" she turned and went to the window, rubbing her eyes. Adam watched her and said "she's getting stressed. She needs a duel soon to feel in control again. Hopefully she gets to duel today..." Yugi looked at yami and said "maybe we should go down early, get some fresh air?"

Yami looked over to his partner with a smile. He liked how Yugi could help ease things along and make them better. His attention now on Maggie, he stood from his seat and walked over to Maggie. "Lets go early. Get some fresh air before it starts?" Hopefully this would help and thanks to Yugi, Yami could feel a bit more at ease.

Maggie smiled and nodded. "That sounds like a wonderful idea. The first duel starts in an hour and I'm wondering how they are setting everything up" Adam rolled his neck and said "I better start getting into the systems then." Yugi looked at the others and said "you guys ready to go?"

Joey perked up at the mention of all this, walking over to the coffee table, grabbing his duel disk, sliding his hand in amd locking witnin place on his wrist. "Lets get going! I wonder who is going to be first!" Joey was excited yet anxious as always when Tristen came over and slapped his hand on his best friend's back. "And I doubt that it will be you, Wheeler." Joey was not exactly expecting this reaction but gained his balance quite quickly. "I can only hope you moron!" He retorted.
Yami smiled at this point within the exchanges of bantering among the two friends. Grabbing his duel disk and walking toward the door, with Seto following. Turning back over to see his brother. "Help Adam anyway you can Mokuba."

Mokuba nodded and said " leave it to me bro, we got this" Maggie held the door open for the others, Yugi smiling as he headed out with tea and Joey. Raph stopped by Maggie and said "don't worry, we will be near and ready for anything" she smiled and nodded, the riders walking out and following the others.

Seto smiled a little before walking out, the pharaoh looked back, crimson eyes looking for his lover till she spotted her. He walked with his friends, his mind thinking back on last night before the incident. When they danced in the dancefloor with no care of what was going to happen to them then. That moment he cherished now of all things that met the same as being with his friends. But now also thinking back with what memories he remembered of him and Zahra back in ancient Egypt, things were simpler for them both if you didn't count the world at stake. With his hands on his pockets and the all familiar weight of the duel disk on his right wrist and the millennium puzzle around his neck. Yami felt confident as ever.

Yugi smiled as he watched Yami, then looked at Maggie when she was walking with him. "You've done something to him...and I thank you" Maggie smiled and looked over at the former king. "I think its a double edged sword with that one Yugi..."

When they reached the area where the start of the tournament was to be, the courtyard of the flower gardens linked to the park, Raph tapped Yami on the shoulder and said "look whose here to take in the sights" He pointed across the courtyard to see Drake, in his blood red trench coat, looking at the lake next to the courtyard with his back to the group. He looked lost in his thoughts, flinching every few minutes and his hand on his chest.

Everyone seemed to take in the sight of what greeted them. The garden looked amazing with all that was in it and surrounding it. Joey was amost about to shoot like a fire work if it werent for tristen who had a hand on hisshoulder. "Park it sparky. The last thing we need is to somehow get lost. Might as well keep an eye out for your crush." Joey turned to his friend with his arms crossed now. "Hold just a minute there bonzo. Mai is not my crush." He retorted with a bright red blush on his cheeks. So the bamtering continued.
Yami however had not been paying attention till Raph tapped his shoulder, coming out of his reverie to see Drale who was laying there. Watching Drake, he noticed what was wrong. "Not comfortably. I can see what is troubling him." Yami replied. Looking to Seto who then nodded before the pharaoh looked to Raph. "Seto amd I will be back. I wish to try and talk to Drake. Last night did not seem to be the right time." And so that was where the two went.
Walking up near Drake but by giving him space, Yami knew what was ailing him. It was a shame but hopefully things could work out, somewhat. "Hello Drake." Yami simply greeted.

Maggie stayed back, wanting to watch I've the others but had a feeling her king could get to drake better then her. Yugi watched as his friends went over to drake, looking worried.

Drake didn't look at them, looking at the water. "Good morning to you both...the water is so peaceful....doesn't have a care in the world...if only it knew the pain that is coming so soon..." He closed his eyes, flinching again. "I don't know how much longer I can do this....I try to protect her from them....try to find my path but I'm so lost....like I'm missing a part of me..." He sighed then said. "My masters are starting to lose their good graces....I can't keep my self from their power muc longer..." He looked tired, weary.

Yami sat next to Drake with Seto leaning next to a tree, keeping an eye on them and everything else around. The pharaoh felt sympathy for Drake, silent for a moment before he closed his eyes. "So is this why you have been serving them? To protect Maggie from them?" He asked? Though wondering if Drake had another reason as well. Though he hoped things wouldnt be as bad as they were last night between him and Drake.

Drake opened his eyes and said "partly....another is I have no choice. They have something that belongs to me....something I can't live without...,something I'm willing to do anything to get back....I have to get him back..." He looked at yami and said "this doesn't change how I feel about you being with her. It's not safe for her....I wish i could explain more but...," he flinched again, rubbing his chest.

[Jazz]

Yami looked out toward the scenery, listwning and taking in everything Drake said. He still didnt know what Drake meant by how he was not safe for her. Glancing toward Seto's direction, he too looked confused. He turned back to face Drake. "I dont understand. What do you mean she is not safe with me? Who arenyou trying to get back?" Yami wanted to ask more, but those were the important ones.

Drake looked at him and said "Your not the only one they want..." They heard music start and Drake stood up, his eyes going dark again. "I have to go...good luck" He walked away and Maggie headed over with the others. "What happened?"
