And you write each response exactly how we'll react to their comments in the IC? I'm also assuming the name/looks of the 'dungeon' would be something familiar to the character, whether it be past or how they once felt once upon a time?

They don't have to be that familiar with it. Naoto's never been to an underground secret base, Kanji doesn't exactly regular a sauna, and Yukiko's never been to a castle before.

It just has to match with the kind of suppressed emotion that the Shadow represents.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure why I decided Midori was ambushed by a thug in an alley that she may or may not have actually killed even though he was breathing when she ran away and that it might not have been the best thing to include even if it helped me finish that post.
