Ruby, run! The same voice played over and over in her head until it drove her from sleep, causing her to wake up panting and sweating amongst the warm sheets of her new bed. Casting her vision over towards the scantily-clad woman beside her, Ruby climbed from her bed and quickly pulled on her comfortable night-gown. Aperture were a whole new level of bad but she had to admit something, they really treated you when you worked for them. She herself had earned some sort of suite in their deep-sea facility that looked like something from the future. It also had the added benefit of having a workshop that took up about half of the total floor-space in the apartment. Moving over towards the kitchen, she got a quick drink before returning to the computer-systems she was working on before she was so kindly interrupted the night before.
"Ruby, may I come in?" Came a voice over the intercom and like it or not, Ruby had to let Taylor in - the man did pay her, after all.

"Go for it." She answered in a dull tone, shifting the magnifying glass away from her face and putting her soldering iron back in its holder. Sitting up, she spun her chair around to face him and quirked a quick eyebrow at him. "So, what's up, Doc?" She seemed almost bored but truthfully, she wasn't a morning person - she much preferred to work in the mornings and not be interrupted.

"It seems that our enemies have not seen the futility of their actions. As far as armed force goes, they still have one last major bastion, StuCorp - the peaceniks of Golden Gate University can be ignored for now. It seems that Gary Stuart, the so-called 'Honest Corporate Executive', genuinely thinks that he is a Gary Stu. Would you kindly disabuse him of that notion, Ruby?" he said in his smooth, silky voice.

Ruby sighed, giving him a small frown before nodding slowly. "Got it. You want me to blow his face off or just go in and find some dirt on him? Either works really." She yawned, taking a small glance over towards the female that was slowly waking up. "I'll need some hair-dye and fake credentials. Unfortunately, I think I've become one of the most-wanted Metas this side of the planet."

"No, killing him is my honor, not yours," Director Taylor seemed to be out of character at this, a non-foolish, non-reckless person taking a foolish, reckless risk out of selfishness; while he was naturally selfish, Doc Taylor was almost always smart about it. Ruby would wonder just what Stu did to elicit this reaction in the Director.
"Digging up sone dirt on him would be enough." the CEO finished.

She nodded quickly, glad that Taylor didn't take note of her choice of bed-partner, more specifically, the same Doctor that had patched her up when she returned to Aperture the day before. Getting to her feet, she padded past Taylor and up to a cupboard before grabbing some black hair-dye. People were looking for Ruby Greenfoot, the confident and dastardly technopath. They weren't looking for Alanna Tate, a shy intern that seemed to have an unhealthy knowledge in programming and circuitry. "Get me credentials for a girl called Alanna Tate and I'll make sure you have your dirt." It was all everyone was looking for, these days.

Timeskip

Gary Stuart was having a fine morning, having finished his tour. Now, he was busy playing Warcraft III, Multiplayer, with his private Superhero Team, the Golden Trio. Said Golden Trio were Ghost, an albino Metahuman who can fly, become intangible, and fire green energy whenever he stops being intangible, Bloodrune, a Meta who, after a skirmish with a Merc Gifted, discovered that his power was to make anything splashed with his blood immune to superpowers (his weakness was that this only worked until the blood dried off or was washed, also, the fact that he was using his own blood in the first place), and finally, Plantmaster, a brown-haired, brown-eyed Englishman clad in all-natural tweed clothes.

"Oh, yeah!" spoke Gary, "The Horde wins again! Woo-hoo!" Ghost was playing Undead, Bloodrune was playing Alliance, and Plantmaster was playing Night Elves. It had been a hard battle, but Gary always won.

"Anyway," said Bloodrune, "Mr. Stuart, are you sure you want to handle the interviews of the new interns - plural, starting with that Alanna Tate girl for alphabetical order - yourself?! Any one of them could be an Anti-Meta assasin out for your blood! Pardon the pun."

"Of course I do!" replied Gary. "Why should I live in fear just because both Metahumans and Baselines decided to go whacko? Besides, Ii have you guys, right? So everything's going to be fine!" Bloodrune sighed; the other two smiled.
A few minutes later, Gary was talking to Alanna. "Your resume looks good, Ms.Tate!" he spoke. "You're hired, begin working now."

Ruby couldn't believe how easy it was. It was too easy in fact - was he onto her? He couldn't possibly. Granted, she did have an amazing resume that had been specially forged by Aperture but that didn't matter. Just as she smiled shyly and nodded to him, a thin man, looking to be about in his forties, arrived in the room with a quick nod to Alanna before moving over to Gary. "Mr Stuart. I have an update on those signals you wanted me to follow up. Well, they were heavily encrypted and it was difficult to get into it but I used a key-forge system and that was the only thing that worked. The problem with that system, sir, was that it was Ruby Greenfoot who developed it and she's now working for Aperture. Aperture wouldn't slip up that much, I don't think." The man clearly didn't think of Alanna as a very big threat but inside, she was secretly raging - things she had created were now turning around and biting her in the ass.

"Good job!" spoke Gary, standing up and offering a high-five. Ruby can tell that Gary's demeanor wasn't a mask; he really was that casual and familiar - although he had an ego, he also had a sense of fun and camadrie that made people highly comfortable with him, or at least, most of them. In contrast, Director Doctor Taylor was a serious, cold, and rational man, one who stood above the hoi polloi and knew it. One can see how Gary's almost clownish behavior would set him on edge...

Alanna was nearly as confused as the poor man who had decrypted the signals for him. "Um... Sir... these are the signals that were used to upload those clips of the man speaking onto the broadcast stations. The man that inspired all these riots." He spoke quickly, staring at him before fixing his glasses as he looked over at Alanna quickly before looking back up to Gary and leaning in to his ear. "Sir. It was um... it was coming from Avalon."

Gary's expression turned serious and steely now; his face made much more frightening by the fact that, it seemed, it was so rare for him to be like this. He then spoke:
"I knew you were someone of great talent. Let's talk in private with Bloodrune and Plantmaster; Ghost can watch over Alanna here. Would you mind that, Alanna?" he questioned, returning for a brief moment back to his old humor. Then, he, Bloodrune, and Plantmaster left for another room, signalling the man to come with them.

Ghost, meanwhile, voiced to Alanna: "I'm watching you," while his creepy red eyes stared at her.

She raised an eyebrow at him and, true to her persona, she seemed to shrink back into her chair. "Who are you?" She questioned quickly, her voice a little shaky. Ruby wasn't afraid of this guy, Alanna was. "I didn't do anything wrong, did I? Mr Stuart said I had the job and I thought that was ok and that he was done with me an-" She quickly stopped herself and looked away.

"You're right about Mr. Stuart," spoke Ghost, "but the problem with him is...he abides by the adage that 'Trust begets Trust', 'Loyalty begets Loyalty'. This is not always true, and he's lucky enough that it worked for him for a surprising amount of time. However, times are changing now, and his luck may run out. Anyway, as a courtesy, I'm going to say this: My Name Is Ghost." He somehow pronounced the allcaps.
"Sir. The signal, I don't know how but it traces all the way back to Avalon and stops there. That is the source but I have no idea how. There's a jammer at Avalon, it should have been enough to scramble anything they were trying to send out." The man seemed nervous, scared almost - Gary Stuart was a great man to work for but he really didn't like this update in things. Plus, the Golden Trio of his personal protectors were pretty scary, even for someone who worked under them. "This is just a theory but they may have a Meta capable of getting these signals out, or at least that's what I think it is."

"Possible," spoke Gary, "very possible." Or it could be that Aperture decided to let the signals through. "It could also be that the scanner was broken; everything can break down at some point." He didn't really believe that; but he thought that he shouldn't discomfort the man with his suspcions about Aperture. "Also," he said as an afterthought, "can I see the decryptions and other data for myself? It might be useful."

((TL;DR - Too Long, Didn't Read - Basically, Ruby infiltrates StuCorp, while one of Gary's employees reveals that the Voice came from Avalon, Aperture's great privatized prison. Also, three new NPCs - Ghost, Bloodrune, and Plantmaster are introduced.))

Rozalia's eyes narrowed suspiciously, keeping on the balls of her feet as the Meta entered the room. However, he did surprise her with the simplest of questions.
"Um... yeah. Some kid-soldier. I mean, he started out on the roof opposite - dumbass started shooting into the room." She answered, still regarding the man with a curious suspicion. The glowing eyes peering from the mask were eerie, and yet still all business. There din't appear to be much in them, other than the light. No hatred, no fury, no craziness. That was rare. His stance was almost military, his voice - although muffled somewhat - gave off no indication that he was actually here to hurt herself or Elijah.
"He disappeared pretty quickly.. why are you asking?" She finished, vaguely wondering if the man on the roof was with this Meta or not.

Alto didn't know what to do again. He'd obviously been noticed, he was close enough to hear conversation now and as both Elijah and Black-ops guy stated what they thought he was to them, he was struck by the fact that none of them came up an asked him or anything or tried to confirm their thoughts. And after they said what they thought he was, they kind of just continued where they left off and now he was kind of just hanging there.

There was no reason to reveal himself really. If he jumped down only to say he was in it for the fun, that would just be a big flow-breaker in terms of how their conversation was going down there. Maybe he should continue his previous plan of staying there until something happened?

Now the Black-ops dude and Elijah were walking back towards the hideout, presumably to go talk it out or something. Kind of feels like they're both expecting me to do something. He thought to himself. But the hell am I supposed to do?

Sighing, he crawled forward along the rooftop again, not bothering to be silent any more. He crawled forward until he was at the edge of the rooftop. Poking his head over the side, he looked down onto the scene below. Maybe this will do for now. He thought.

Elijah tried to do his best to put on a smiling face and be a decent host. Its not that his mother and everyone he knew as a child beat into him that it was a mortal sin on the level of genocide. He was tired, almost too tired to fight but he wasn't nor could he show it. His bet to win right was to throw this guy off his game. Whatever information Lite Bright had on him would have said Elijah was more likely to fight than to talk. The kinda guy that knows its coming and doesn't see the need for taking longer than need be to get there. "See! Was that so hard, Lite Bright? Why get a truck that big without a Hemi?" Elijah said without a care in the world as if it was the most foreign thing in the world him.

Lite Bright came looking for a fight but instead found mind games and a irritation that the best topical ointment couldn't fix. He watched every step Lite Bright took. He noted that he was moving slower up the stairs even though it wasn't by much. Light Bright kept looking around, that coupled with those unnatural eyes. In Elijah mind it seemed clear that his powers were tied to his eyes. It would be impossible to know what he could do until the time came to fight. A prospect that would seem a lot better and a great deal more fun after he got some sleep.

He kept his fingers tight and eyes trained at the skull of Lite Bright. He was ready to be send an attack at this dudes head. He walked right past both him and Roze. The bottle was what he was after. "First question is who the fuck are you? Second, anybody else wanna drink? Third who the fuck on is on the roof? Did I ask if anyone wanted a drink? If anyone is in distress I can make you a hot beverage." Elijah smiled holding a glass and the bottle up. It was then heard the footsteps on the roof. "All these people showing up. I feel liked I should have cooked something.... Pasta... Linguine with a pesto sause.... No not even every likes pesto... Red clam sause? Should have just made both and give them options. Everybody loves options... I don't what do you guys think?" Elijah was still playing mind games but he was getting a little more worried as time past. More and more were showing up, this place was getting unsafe to be. He knew the phone call was a bad idea but he would have bet the farm that he a lot more time than what he got. He had a lot to be worried about but his biggest concern was that of on coming sobriety.

John watched as Light took off to do her job and he turned to listen to Constantine speak to him about the group's standards. He wasn't at all surprised about the no killing civilians, that was quite obvious, they were heroes after all. The excessive damage might be a problem with some of the other heroes since hero work regularly involved a lot of collateral damage. And of course no killing a villain unless there isn't any other choices, this was the one rule that he didn't like. Sympathy for criminals wasn't really something that he had a lot of for criminals.

"Got all of that dude, but I hope you've prepared yourself for the inevitable destruction that is normally caused by superhumans" John replied to Constantine, and he thought of all those times when he had got into situations that were incredibly dangerous and where a lot of things were broken. Hero work was not as easy as pop culture liked to make it look like it was.

"So you want me and Light to work together? She seems like she could be a loose cannon and her whacky appearance could be hindrance on an important mission. But I'm cool with working alongside her if that's what the bosses demand" he said to Constantine as he picked his fanged teeth with his fingernails that he had transformed into claws, he hadn't changed his teeth back to normal, but he didn't exactly care if people found what he was doing as nasty and continued to pick.

Cedric

"Yeah, I'm a Meta," spoke Cedric, "my power is to use any tool or instruement in existence, possibly even superweapons created by S and SS-type Gifted. As for that law, well, let's just say that people don't care enough about Metas to actually enforce it; besides, my existence is secret or semi-secret anyway. Anyway, I've heard of you from the Official Meta Registry. Light, right? I watch tapes of you during my breaks from basic training. I like your stuff, and it's too bad you're not here for a show," he said, smiling. Then, he and William walked off behind the toonish Metahuman, at least until she got shocked by the electronics.

"Are you okay?" Cedric asked concernedly.

Constantine

"Considering that people are departing the city," Constantine spoke to Bio-Beast/John, "yeah, I'm ready. And, don't discount Light; despite her apperance, she has a good head on her shoulders." Then, he saw Light, Cedric, and William departing from the ruins.

"Cedric!" he shouted as the boy ran towards him, tears falling out of his eyes (15, remember?), before both people embraced each other closely, crying. "I'm so happy to see you're alive..." The illusionist was smiling now.

"Same for you, Consty," spoke Cedric, forgetting his desire for vengance for a moment. He then smiled at Light and Bio-Beast, and continued:

"Hello, guys, it seems as though we haven't been formally introduced. My name is Cedric Wessex, scion of the Wessex Family of Chicago. I know your real names already, considering you're registered and all."

"Ced, don't be obnoxious, let them introduce their names to us," spoke Constantine. "Anyway, we have to get our new recruits - including Palema/Twist whom I have not mentioned till now, to Safehouse Q immidiately. We two, meanwhile, are going to stay at Elena's," he stated, eliciting a smile from Cedric. After introductions were done, came time for the trip to the aforementioned Safehouse Q...

Timeskip

Safehouse Q, as it turned out, was a brothel that somehow stayed running throughout the chaos in LA. Both Light, Pamela/Twist and Bio-Beast could be offended, but Constantine would explain that they chose the brothel for a reason: if the bad guys attacked, then they would attract a lot of attention while doing so, that, and many bad guys wouldn't want to 'waste' a good brothel anyway. This would still inconvinience Light and Bio-Beast, the latter who was also underage in California, but hey, safety had its price. Either way, they would also meet a person named Abigail Rose, who was constantly accompanied by remote-controlled drones due to the risks that her power, to control others' emotions, showed.

For the rest of the night, as well as most of the next day (aka enough time for Ruby to infiltrate StuCorp, and for Gary to discover where the signals used by the Voice had come from), the trio would do nothing but settle in and complain about their lot amidst the noises of the prostitutes doing their...business. Then, they would recieve a mesage from Constantine:

"Light, Bio-Beast, we've just recieved word from our sources: A gang has been trying to take advantage of the chaos by offering Metahumans a way out of the city...and then selling them to human traffickers, aka slavery. Basically, demand for superpowered labor is high, especially if one doesn't have to pay."

"Pamela, Abigail, a Lynch Mob is going after the families of the Magi, LA's previous Superhero Team. I'm going to need your riot training and emotion-controlling powers in order to get said mob to disperse peacefully, earning us brownie points with the Magi themselves; let's just say I have a good reason to want that."

"If it seems like I'm railroading you," Constantine's voice continued, "you have the option of switching missions - except for Abigail whose powers are needed for the mob - or just switching team members. Either way, you have to do these missions, no matter what."

While Ghost watched Alanna Tate, Gary had finished looking at the decryptions, and was now calling Elena, the call starting...now.Once Elena had answered, the CEO of StuCorp would say, in a tone of utter seriousness:

"We need to talk."

"I am busy." Elena replied as she answered the phone.

"It's about the Voice, you know, insane cultist who incites riots against the Metahumans?" Gary questioned, before continuing, "Apparently, the signals carrying his pretty little speech and broadcast hijacking came from...Avalon. I'll forward you the evidence." And with that, the man did so, using his smartphone to transfer the relevant files to Elena's own.

Elena looked at it. "I will talk to my bosses to get a warrant." Elena replied.

"Thank you," spoke Gary.

"Good to see your a fan. Didn't think teens liked my slapstick routine. The adults don't for the most part." Light commented on Cedric's comment about watching her shows as they moved through the rubble. Later on when Light got zapped again.

"Electricity doesn't really bother me much." Light said to Cedric's concern over her being zapped. "It doesn't bother me much due to how it has to hurt you. I find fire to be much worse, it lasts far longer."

When they got outside, Cedric and William made their way to Constantine, while Cedric had a teary reunion, William acted much like any other soldier. while Light thought the reunion was cute. When she was given the opportunity to introduce herself, she explained. "Hello, Name's Light. If you've been to my shows you'll know I'm a toon. I like entertaining others and whatever catches my fancy. Not much other than that." She then noticed bio Beast picking his fang-like teeth with his claws, looking at him like he was a vampire or something. She didn't take much interest in the other people as they didn't seem to pop out much, but one of them was really tall in comparison to her.

Upon getting to Safehouse Q, Light sighed with annoyance. While Constantin's explanation made sense, she still wasn't a fan of the place and tried not to make eye contact with anyone on the way to the safehouse proper. "I don't think I'd mind this place much if there were guy whores if I'm honest. then it'd at least be a sex thing instead of a brothel. I dunno, This place annoys me quite a bit." She commented, her frame obviously drooping a little due to her feeling so awkward and annoyed, which didn't improve with the sounds she heard above.

"I'd much rather a stripper club to be honest. At least those people get paid. Then I could probably enjoy myself a little here." Light said again, obviusly complaining about the place. "Get some soundproof curtains or something and a TV or something. At least then I can probably drown out these images with something else." She had a rough night of going to sleep, and slept through a good part of the next day, not wanting to think about where they were, but having the misfortune of having some of her dreams warped by the place above. when she woke up, a few hours later Constantine gave them another mission.

"Finally, something I can expend this rage of annoyance on. And wouldn't you know it, its slavers! I hate slavers. How rough can I get with them?" Light said, a menacing gleem in her eyes as he head raised into a strange shadow, her mouth growing very wide showing a spiked tooth smile, holding out her pointy fingers like upside down claws as they seemed to glint in the light before she moved back into the light. which was odd because there wasn't any real shadows for her to do this in.

The coagulated blood in Alec's ears filtered some of Elijah's many attempts at throwing him off balance. Although he would never admit it to him, the mind game he was playing was affecting him in a way. The fire meta was looking to dig out information on Alec's emotional status, and Alec knew that, which is why as soon as Nightingale responded to his first question he tapped out of Cerebro. He didn't want the wisecracking hillbilly to think he was that cautious around him, in spite of the fact that there were plenty of reasons to be. His contemplation was interrupted by a couple of scratching sounds coming from above, likely from the roof. At the same time, a message was sent by the MHRC contact detailing Nightingale's backstory; the timing was purely coincidental. It seems he bribed his way into the government registry archive. He threw the message a look, holding his index finger upwards, gesturing Elijah, who asked him a barrage of questions, to have patience. About ten seconds later, he slid his phone in a little placeholder down his left thigh before moving his eyes towards the fire meta.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to be the one asking questions here," he paused his deadpan speech to pull down the mask, revealing more of his scars "but since you asked, a glass would be fine.", Alec went on. If Vesuvius wanted to play games, so be it. "Also, don't bother cooking for me. I am not staying here for much longer.", he finally finished, before shifting his sight to Nightingale.

"A child soldier you say? Who was he working for? Was he with you? I need details, Roze.", the now unmasked hero referred to the girl by her name, wanting to imply he worked for the government. He assumed she was smart enough to get the hint. In the meanwhile, the scratching roof noise was still going on. What the hell was that guy doing?

((Btw, in case the whole thing about the coagulated blood confuses you, it's a reference to an earlier post, where Alec uses Cerebro;experimental and blood bursts out of his ears as a result.))
Back at Safehouse Q, Dean was watching the other metas express their disapproval at Constantine's hideout choice. While he could understand the controversy King's decision raised, he didn't mind the setting himself. Plus, the reason for choosing a whorehouse as a hideout was legitimate enough. Jenni also disapproved, but then again Jenni disapproved at everything the group did, so her attitude in this case wasn't much of a bombshell. Her incoherent babbling and critique at almost everything her brother accomplished did have the potential to get annoying after a while, but Dean was already used to it.

The FBI meta, Constantine Raphael King, or whatever his name, was already issuing orders to the rest of the metas. Dean, who was at the corner, having a quiet quarrel with his noisy sister, didn't get anything assigned. Either Constantine wanted him around, or he just forgot. Maybe he had a special assignment. Patience wasn't the young hero's forte, so he decided to ask anyway "What about me? Do I get anything?"

Elijah poured himself a glass and set the over sized flask down. There was a few bottles of water stashed in the fridge. Even though he was playing mind games, that still wasn't an excuse for rudeness. The way Lite Bright handled this had been... Indelicate at the very least and it was starting to piss Elijah off.

"Thank you Roze, that's enough. Not unless Light Bright would like to tell us who the fuck he is and what the fuck he's really after." He looked at Light Bright and tossed the bottle of water. "You don't wanna play nice or you can make use of the door by your own power or I can light a fire under you. Take your pick."

"You have free choice of mission," Constantine said to Dean. "Someone with your powers can be useful in both situations." One could notice that for all of Constantine's words about not railroading, only one person had the most choice - Dean. "Anyway, I'll send over a dossier with the relevant information to your smartphones" - Constantine had given them some - "right now." And, so he did. Once he was done, he spoke:

"Constantine out." He then smiled; Operation Suck Up To The Magi was a-go; what he didn't tell them were that both missions concerned the Magi's family members, meaning that should they succeed, Avalon's guardians would owe them a debt, particularly if the families were taken to another FBI Safehouse later on. If all went well, then the Reformists would have another lead other than the warrant...
The Gang the first group, whoever they may be, would fight were situated near the outskirts of the city, in the direction of San Francisco, the puported 'sanctuary' for Metas. In fact, however, the destinations were myriad, ranging from places as far north as Seattle to as far east as New York, and even as far south as Mexico, a reverse immigration, if one will, only towards the Drug Cartels instead of jobs. Nevertheless, they were in an empty Import-Export business, now used for a different kind of trade.

According to the available data, the Gang was not the cliche Black Gang, but rather several Whites and Asians, three of them (one White and two Asian) Metahumans of unknown powers. They were also armed with new rifles and submachine guns, as well as a few black market grenades.

In the meantime, the second group, including Abigail, would find themselves in the residential districts, where there were three different Lynch Mobs, all carrying guns, axes, pieces of piping, and other weapons, as well as, of course, placards saying: 'AVENGE THE DISNEY MASSACRE' or 'KILL ALL METAHUMANS'. Of course, only one mob was heading towards the residential block where the Magi's families lived...

Alto was somewhat miffed. Again, he was obviously noticed but still no one even told him to get down or anything. Are they expecting me to come down and say hi or what? He thought. Seriously now.

He felt like he was being a third wheel here, except there were four of them and a third wheel would be noticed more. The only one who had actually seen him was the black-ops dude, and the black-ops dude just straight out ignored him. Now Elijah was offering some refreshments, and Alto could really do with some. But jumping down just to ask for water was going to look really dumb. The situation was really starting to piss him off a little.

"Thank you Roze, that's enough. Not unless Light Bright would like to tell us who the fuck he is and what the fuck he's really after." Elijah said.

COME ON! He thought angrily. IS NO ONE THE LEAST BIT INTERESTED IN THE WEIRD GUY ON THE ROOF?!

He was really just sulking now. But hey, he was a loose canon right?

Quite impulsively deciding to act like one, Alto pulled himself over the gutter on the edge of Elijah's roof and swung his upper body downwards. Hanging upside down by the loose gutter, he addressed the trio inside the building through the front door.

"Aren't you guys the least bit interested in me?" He said with an annoyed tone of voice. With a groan, the roof's gutter came away and Alto fell to the ground. He braced his left arm out in front of him, but the momentum of the fall still propelled the lower half of his body downwards. His back hit the pavement hard, but he tried not to show it. Still laying on the ground, he turned over with a huff. "Not even a little bit? He said, propping himself up with his arms.

Waking up in a whore house was not exactly Abigails idea of a fun time. Finding out she had no paints or canvases made her even unhappier. This whole situation was not only annoying as hell but with the little drones following her everywhere made it just demeaning. Yes she was an all powerful metahuman but that didn't mean she had to be placed in a house full of moaning and have little robots on her back at all times. Seriously they could have just hired out a hotel room and given her some paints and she would have been fine. Sigh, it was a pain being such a strong individual.

Meeting the new metahumans was just silly, what was she supposed to do with them? They were all just hero types that complained about the safehouse or talked about saving total strangers like it was a normal thing to do. Then there was this one meta who just kept ordering them around, who the hell made him in charge?!

Abigail muttered angrily to herself as she quickly realised that she was going to have to follow what he said or get zapped back to beddy byes.

Finding herself in the residential districts she looked at the droids wondering if they were going to help her or just keep zapping her again. They honestly were one of the most annoying things she had ever encountered and she wished they would just have an error and break. It was only when she saw the lynch mobs did she suddenly realise how serious this was. Stupid humans all getting angry at the stupidest things. She sighed, the sooner this was over the sooner she might be able to get some paints. Calming herself with deep breathing she willed the area around her to be calm as well.

Pam thought a brothel was a very weird place to have a hide out. It was a place without any semblance of a professional or orderly atmosphere, but she supposed that was why it was chosen. Strippers wandered through the hall ways doing their day to day business and Pam rolled her eyes in complete and utter disinterest. The sooner she could get out of here and get on to her assignment the better.

----------

Pam walked alongside Abigail in silence. Pam didn't really know what she would say in that situation
Do you often walk around with an entourage of robots? So lynch mobs, they're a hoot aren't they? None of it seemed the least bit appropriate. What Pam did know of this Abigail was that she was a meta capable of manipulating people's emotions. That made Pam a bit paranoid. Were her emotions being toyed with right now without her realizing? Maybe Abigail was using her powers to make her paranoid!

It was best not to think too hard on it.

Soon they encountered one of the mobs in question. Pam suddenly felt a wave of calm wash over her, and the shouting and screaming of the mob toned down as well.
"Woah..." Pamela said as she felt the affects of Abigails powers, "This is amazing. If we ever get out of this mess, I bet you'd make an excellent career out of helping people with depression." While it was nice that this mob was subdued, she needed to secure the perimeter of the family's home which was still a couple of blocks away. There were probably an uncountable number of people still out there on the streets.

"I'm going to go check on the home of the family," Pam said as she began skating towards the street and past the mob, "Keep your phone handy, and meet me when you can dispel this crowd. Things could get messy over there." Even though Abigail could calm them while she was nearby, she'd need to find a way to get them to return home or else they'd return to being an angry mob in minutes. Pam skated past, thankfully she didn't get anything but a few odd looks as she made her way to her objective.

Apparently no one took Light's very obvious foreshadowing seriously, which she took as liberty to do whatever she wanted to these gang members. this was apparent with the zeal she showed when she hit the drop zone. Though while zealous, Light wasn't stupid, and while she was dropped off, no one seemed to notice, or at least until she had left the area and gone into hiding. While her toon looks made stealth awkward, she was only going to do it for as long as she could do it for. Mostly because she didn't fancy being a bullet sponge, at least until she was at least in leaping distance.

Hiding behind a wrecked car outside one of the buildings near the dropzone, Light snuck in through a door that was ajar. The first gangster she dealt with was around the corner looking out of the window at Bio Beast, who was doing his own thing. This gave Light a nice opportunity to knock them out, and thanks to the comotion outside, Light moved like this, knocking out various gang members through various methods, laughing a few seconds before knocking them out using various laughs from different horror things shed seen. This continued on for a couple minutes until she accidentally knocked down a wall knocking a guy out, opening up a big room with a few gangsters and a meta waiting, which took off more fire from the people outside to deal with Light.

MiddleEarthRoze The Ultimate Pupper

Roze stepped back but an inch at the use of her name. The only people privy to that information were Government. Which meant that perhaps, this guy wasn't lying.
Ignoring Elijah's command, she stared on at this scarred Meta before her obstinately - her gaze only thrown at the commotion came from outside, and the mysterious meta from the roof had fallen to the floor, now whining.
"Get out of here, stupido. This isn't the time for children." She commanded cooly, and her wintery gaze locked back to the fery eyes of the man stood before her.
"I'd assume the child was with the Government; he had the equipment for it, at least. He was with an older man - probably there to make sure the kid didn't do anything stupid, which he failed at. The guy whisked Caro away, the kid came and went, and then suddenly I became a bad-guy. So, do you want to tell me why you need to know this, and what the hell is going on out there?" She queried, her tone serious but cold.

"Vesuvius is about to erupt!", Alec smirked as he grabbed the water bottle the fire meta threw at him. That was no reason for him to feel proud. Going from the footage pulled from the tape, he could control his fire with enough dexterity to burn a specific part and/or person while leaving the rest of the surrounding area unharmed, therefore indicating he was as safe in the meta's place as he would be if their argument took place outside. All that considered, Alec didn't fear the man. He only feared the possibility that his quest might end without enough closure on the situation. And his only way to get that closure was the petite Italian meta standing in front of him. Unlike Elijah, she was quite level-headed and was willing to cooperate.

The ninja finally made his noisy descent, causing an uproar in the room. Alec fixated his glowing gaze at him only to reveal he was just a seventeen year old boy, and like every teenager, he seemed to be craving attention. Alec was ready to make a comment only to be cut short by Roze, who scolded the kid, a hint of an Italian accent noticed in her speech. He snatched the water bottle from the spot in between his legs and swiftly threw it at the boy while saying "You need it more than me." before framing Elijah in his peripheral vision. "In the Wild West, denying booze to men often had painful consequences", Alec made an indirect threat. He was already aware the situation would explode faster than one could say 'subderisorious', hence why he took the chance to throw a couple of stings at the arrogant meta.

Roze, in the other hand, seemed to be completely oblivious of the situation, completely losing herself on Alec's gaze. She even ignored her partner's commands to stop cooperating when she answered the questions previously aimed at her. That was when Alec realized he was chasing his own tail all along. If he wasn't so good at restraining his feelings, he'd probably burst out laughing at his failure. To reward Roze's patience and serenity, Alec decided to answer hers and Elijah's questions any way.

"Registered government employee, callsign; Lighthouse", he declared, his eyes jumping from Roze to Elijah while completely ignoring the kid. "I'm tracking the man responsible for the broadcast that forced you two into hiding."
"I'll go with Pamela and the emotion manipulator", Dean made a choice, not fully briefed on what was happening with the girl who was escorted around by drones. He regretted his choice shortly afterwards, and he had a good reason behind it; if Jenni took complete control over him, there would be a load of dead protester bodies. It was already too late to change mind, though.

After the trio dropped in the 'battle' zone, the odds turned to their favor fast, with the emotion manipulator, Abigail, completely overwhelming the crowd at the blink of an eye. There was nothing left to do for Dean but follow Pamela as she ran away to evacuate the families.

Watching the crowd that was an angry mob start to calm down and wander aimlessly, Abigail couldn't help but smile to herself. She was pretty impressive if she did say herself, after all her powers worked on everyone... she then thought of the annoying drones following her every move, nearly everyone. Her self assured smile started to fade at the same time as Pamela spoke up. Snorting at Pamela's comments, Abigail couldn't help herself laugh at the idea of helping people stupid enough to feel crappy about themselves. If people were thought they were worth so little why should she think they were worth spending her time on? (lol I feel so mean writing this)
Abigail boredely watched Pam skate off wondering was with that woman in skates. She then amusedly watched Dean walked after her like a lost puppy of sorts.

"Get out of here, stupido. This isn't the time for children." Nightingale said.

The words stung a little bit, not unlike his back right now but like his back he tried not to show it. He technically deserved it, considering how he'd been acting just now, but still. Ah yeah, that reminds me. He thought. I'm probably going to have to pay for gutter repairs. Gutter repairs weren't that expensive really, but Alto was pretty sure doing property damage in general was a bad thing. Especially to someone who knew he did it. Maybe if this house gets destroyed I won't have to pay for it. He thought.

Suddenly, he was distracted by a water bottle which was flying towards his face. He was considering catching it with his mouth, but then he realized it was a water bottle and he was being stupid. The water bottle smacked straight into his mouth, which was unfortunate. But, he was thirsty so there was that. Looking up, he saw that the black-ops dude had thrown the bottle. And he also had glowing eyes. Well, I've got a robot arm, so who am I to judge? Picking up the bottle and hauling himself to standing position, he said: "Thanks black-ops dude!" while waving to him. The black-ops dude however continued his conversation so Alto wasn't sure whether or not he heard that.

Nevertheless, water.

The bottle was cold too, which was good. He really needed a drink because he'd been running around for the past few hours. Unscrewing the cap, he quickly sculled the contents, a refreshing torrent of water gushing down his throat. Much better. He thought. Looking back into the house in front of him, he could see the trio still conversing. Alto didn't really seem to be welcome here. Maybe it was time to send that text. Asking for extra instructions wouldn't hurt, would it?

He pulled out his phone.

<I found them. What now>

The message was still on the screen. With only a moment's hesitation, he pressed send. He didn't really know who his employer was, and maybe that was a bad thing. Well, at least I got water. He thought.
