This thread is a large concentration of "cool people" for the most part.
Not including me of course, I'm just a tag-along.

Cause finding an Rp about a videogame is oddly rare. I can't play as an actual fight-happy psychopath in a high-fantasy setting because than normal people would be put off by my blood-lust. Do that in a high-fantasy that is explicitly a game however, and people would just complain that maybe I'm being too much of a loudmouth. Even as an RP we must "Maintain character" of our characters as realistically as possible, but in a video game even our characters can be allowed to be as out-of-character as we'd want. Donny can't kill people in his "Real Life", but now he can without guilt in Deep Ground Online. It's a sort of Meta-Recursion.

personally: to be revealed during the role play.
Appearance (Avatar):
Avatar Class: Sniper(Assassin specs)
Avatar Title: The Undertaker
Avatar Level (Initial): 4
Avatar Guild: Currently looking.
Avatar Abilities: Scattershot: This skill can only be use when currently has a firearm equipped in his hand. After the skill is active the user will have at least 5 seconds to aim at whatever enemies he or she wish to focus on. When active this skill will display a red circle around the area the skill automatics target the enemies bodypart during the aiming process, what part are choose depends on where the user aim his cross hairs at. During the aiming process the user will have the tella tale sign of a red glowing sphere forming at the barrel of the fire arm, and each which target selected the sphere will glow in size. The second part of the skill begin either when the four second deadline is up or the user decide to active the skill prematurely, the sphere will then burst into a curtain number of small laser-like projectile depending on how many areas were targeted, these projectile would home in on the selected target, control by a AI this skill will try to avoid any solid object in it way that could stop it in it tracks, one project would deal around at least 1/4 of the damage the firearm in hand would normally do if it hit it target. A importantly thing to note is that this attack is not undodge and can be avoid in a number of ways, a notable one is to try to run past the project before it could hit you. This can target up to 12 spot on one person and come at the cost of 1/4 of the maximum ammo currently in the clip of the gun. This attack also has a 15 second cooldown once the aiming process is done.

Aimshot: This skill when the user has a a non or semi-automatics firearm in there hand. This skill is does around the same damage as a normal attack however it effects the victim differently depend on where he or she was hit by this attack. If the victim was hit in the limb then victim would not be able to control the limb in question for 5 seconds, if the victim is hit somewhere in the torso then the victim would suffer from a bleeding effect, causing them to lose a little bit of health every time they move from the spot below their feet, if the victim was shot in the head area they would be stun for 2 seconds before they are able to move. This attacks as a 10 second cool down and cost one bullet to use.

Hunter's Vision: When the user activates this skill their Vision hub would automatics highlight any player or enemy npc bright red that is moving round 1.8 m/s in the user current view(according to wikipedia people normal walk around 1.4 to 2.5 m/s). If the highlighted target in question were to stop moving for more then a second then they will be unhighlight automatically. This skill will automatically bypass any solid object that is no more then 22-inches wide if the target in question fulfill the conditions to be targeted by this skill( I believe 22 width is around the same width as the lower part tree,I had yet to confirm this though). It important to note that even if the target(s) in question where to move behind a solid object that would normally block the users view, the user will still be able to see the targets bright red silhouettes past the object as long has they had yet to fulfilled the condition to be untargeted by the before mention condition. This effect automatically end 20 seconds after it is activates, afterwords it will go into cooldown for 40 seconds after the skill is ended. This skill can not be deactivate prematurely under normal circumstances.

I was attracted because it was Accel World.

And the White King position is not something that I will cede to someone else.

And because I'm bored, even though I should be busy.

Also, the theme of the Ivory Masks. Maybe I'll get bored enough to find themes for all the other Guilds in the future, if the other Kings are also too lazy to do so.

169 posts for each level 1 player to hit level 9, assuming that they're on a constant win streak and it only takes 3 post for each combatant (Minimum two). That's only including duels between the players, not any NPC avatars or missions.

Basically a lot.

A Brief Notification: I am no longer accepting any more people for this RP until further notice. Those who posted their interest in the OOC earlier may still create an OC if they wish, but as of now I am no longer seeking people. Let's see where we go from here. That is all.

Someone posted a good explanation of in-game and meta time frames. Let me see if I can find it. Also starting tomorrow, I will begin to group everyone into their Guilds on the OP.

Oh yeah, Windel, you said something in the past about reaching certain thresholds of number of wins in order to get a good future, right?

Does that mean that if someone has, say, 200 wins and 10000 losses, they'll still get a good life? Or not?

100-200 wins is about the average for a moderate future. 400-500 wins are pretty much guarantees. Of course, this is grossly exaggerated for story-wise reasons, so at most realistically, I'd say maybe ten legit fights for a good future.IC, you guys may level up again after winning three battles. So if one were to do the math for all those IC posts...yeah.

Here.

so how do losses weigh in onto the amount of wins then? Are you saying that they need to have 200 MORE wins than they have losses or something?
