Hello everyone, My name is Zanon.I am a member of Starcraft 2's RP group that makes its home in the Joeyray's Bar section of the forums.(Check us out if you have a SC2 Battle Net account)I generally do side-story posts in the Original Darkest Heart, where I do 'world-building' in an effort to add depth to this awesome world we call Darkova. I very rarely make character sheets for my characters, as many are one or two post wonders, and others will never meet another player controlled individual.Thom (blatantly ripped off from The Wheel of Time series) serves as a tool to give other Player Characters information (You may think of him as your local information broker) while entertaining them at the same time. He does not join the players on missions or become entangled in the main plot. That is your job.I look forward to seeing what you people have to write.

Hello Zanon, I've never met you before. But I like you already. Anybody who added flavor to a world is a friend of mine. I've never seen anybody who's done something like you do in a roleplay before, but it sounds freaking awesome.

Nice to see so many familiar 'faces'.

@Redwing.
Thinking about it, I can't think of an example either. I'll have to think on it a little.

But such artistic freedom comes at a dire price. If the main plot slows down I can do nothing to kick it into action, since my characters are (by their nature) separate from the main plot. Socratophanes (Knarled as I know him) is often my partner in side-plotting. I hope you enjoy what you read.

Yes, Knarled and Zanon make things go around in an interesting manner and are able to spin tales of interesting proportions. One of them would be of the Angel and the Glutton.

As for I... I'm working on a character that I suppose would be similar along to a witch in concept but isn't a witch... Does anyone know what that would be? Because she isn't a witch yet could be easily confused for one.

I suppose. Though in that case a mage can describe several things including several which wouldn't be called a mage outright because they have a different name.

Traditional mages use the elements fire, water, earth and air.

Veev's character is not a traditional mage. I repeat, not a traditional mage.
At least to my understanding.

I was giving the base definition of mage. If not mage, than maybe wizard or spellstress, female spell caster.

Zanon or CR, whoever manages to get around to it first, please inform the bar I am unable to load the SC2, and all of Bnet, up at this time. I'm not really sure why, but I may have to restart my whole comp at some point. I will return when able.

Can do, Zarkun. Now that I have my essentials reinstalled onto my computer after restoring it I'll be able to do that.

I'm making a vampire on the side of the necromancer.

~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Mithias Aldaric Varomere
Age: Several hundred is your best guess.
Appearance:
Personality: Does a hunter really care what a vampire's personality is? As far as they know, he is merely a bloodthirsty animal, a sorry soul who fell to darkness for his sins. Perhaps hatred or vengeance drives his thirst. All that is known is he is powerful, lethal, and in cahoots with the necromancer.
Weapons: Just to be sure I don't make something up on the fly, here are Mithias' weapons: twin swords he keeps at his sides, three daggers with backward pointing prongs and a groove for letting blood, a bola, a whip, and steel vambraces on his forearms. he is wearing a black cloak and has a gold ring with a red gem on his right hand. ...don't think it couldn't be used as a weapon.
Abilities:
I'm going to assume vampires have increased strength and speed and healing, and merely elaborate on the extent I expect of them. Mithias is strong, but it is not his best ability. Like, he shouldn't be able to wrestle a werewolf and win. His speed is amazing however. Catching arrows out of the air would be easy. He might even have a chance to parry a bullet, but that would also take luck and preemption. He has excellent spatial awareness, such a being able to strike behind himself without looking, and he has completely mastered that whip. He heals nearly instantly when well fed, less rapidly when deprived of blood. In fact, all his power is fueled by blood, as you can imagine. His primary power is that he cannot be mind-controlled by other vampires or supernaturals, nor can he have his mind read or be tricked by illusions or any mind manipulation. Lastly, I would like to give him another power, the ability to control heat and create and control fire. I don't plan to throw fireballs, but he could ignite that whip of his.
Backstory: I have a backstory, but man does it have spoilers. Right now, can I just say his name is known, and his age and lineage isn't? You may want to pm me about the necromancer to figure out what their mutual plans are and how they came to work together.
Well, what's going on with Tobi isn't necessarily RPer required, but OK. However, I would like to point out that even vampires hate necromancers, just something to think on.
On your powers, the lore I use would make him a Pureblood, a vampire born a vampire, not turned. Also, as vampires are considered evil, Demons, if it's deemed necessary, which I doubt it will be, can strongly influence a decision made by a vampire. Not necessarily control, but most definitely influence.
Are you saying the necromancer could influence the vampire or Tobi VanHelsing? I would expect a necromancer to be fully able to control a vampire...
Vampires aren't dead, more frozen in time and then...hollowfied of sorts. The exact process is hard to figure out or describe, but Vampires aren't undead.
And just so we have clarity about weaknesses since Our Vampires Are Different Click Me
These weaknesses may change, as this is a new start for Darkest Heart.
Vampires:
Live until they are killed.
Burn quickly in the daylight*.
Silver is deadly*.
Steak to the heart is effective but (unlike in the vids) the heart is very hard to actually hit, not just any chest shot will do.
Beheading or heart removal works.
Crucifix only works on some vampires.
Garlic only insults them.
Werewolf bites are as deadly as those of any dog, read: not very. That said, werewolves have a better chance of killing vampires than most creatures on Darkova.
Vampires can turn into a limited number of creatures, most common are Bat, Rat, and occasionally wolves.
*There is one clan that seems to have no special weakness to any of these. Beheading and removal of heart is recommended for vampires of this clan. Note: Killing their queen will give them ALL vampire weaknesses.
@Zarkun: I will probably also post the info on werewolves soon, (since we have a were PC) but will not post info on less common (and much more powerful) enemies, such as a lich without checking first. Also, just so I know, are we keeping the DH fay?
Yeah I didn't fill out the weaknesses for her werewolf form. She doesn't stay in it long but alot can happen even in a few seconds.
