Being a Marine CORPSMAN (so a navy corpsman) Wouldn't i have navy ranks instead of marine ranks?

I'm not 100% on the Rank (was unsure if, with his time served and experience, he would be a Corporal or Master Corporal) and the equipment, but.. Here it is!

No worries- that is true, they'd be likely a Petty Officer or something along those lines, as they'd be a US Naval Corpsman. Should have mentioned that- but it is one specific thing to that role I suppose.

Fortunes, I love the CS. Nicely done- that is a good format.

Sweet, I like that character also, sounds good. That blue digital I believe is a real Navy camouflage- it differentiates her from the rest of the Marines/Canadians, which is fairly useful I guess. I'll add a few things in my CS here and there, to kink out a few of the imperfections I feel- now we wait for the rest and an IC should be coming in no time.

Fair enough, though I do know that Corpsmen do wear slightly different camo to the rest of the Marines- not a lot different, but it's distinctive I hear.

Just changed a few little details in mine- nothing significant.

Well i've also heard from a few navy fellows that they wear Marine Digis as well when they are working with them in a FMF style.

Hmm, that's interesting. That might be the case- I wouldn't be altogether surprised, in an environment like that MARPAT Desert would become quite applicable.

Well, good to see the Marine Corp getting some love, and the Canadians are always welcome to ride along as well! I wasn't 100% sure on some things, so just holler if something needs fixed.

I like Alex's CS! But it's ultimately Konrad's decision

Accepted- but why the Beta-C mags? I mean, for an M249, while compatible, wouldn't a 100 round, or even 200 round box be a little more effective? Just a thought- I mean, if you have a reason, no worries, but I'm a little curious on that one.

Few more people to go, then the IC is up- I think a couple of others need to come on down from the Interest, then we are rocking. Will update the Team list at some point, to slot them into their positions.

Well, the Beta C-Mags are 100 round drums, they utilize the twin drums that feed the weapon together (Here's the basic load design of one from the back). I was considering a 200 round box, but I couldn't really decide on how many would be carried, so went with a few 100 round drums instead. I can change that, no problem, if you want though. It won't bother me either way.

They're pretty good, but not standard-issue- I was just curious on the matter of the boxes. Actually, since M249s can't take 5.56 STANAG magazines (only taking just the boxes) anymore (I think Beta-C goes into a regular receiver), whereas the M249 uses a chain-fed lug), it might be worthwhile using a box is what I'm suggesting- about four or five would be sufficient for an Automatic Rifleman, because to be honest, they're there to lay down a shit-ton of fire, and I mean, the M249 can match 10 riflemen in suppression and firepower over a period of time. Up to you though- there older M249s that I think can accept STANAG magazines, but I haven't seen those for a while. I mean, I don't want to seem tedious and you know, anal about things like this, it's just imaging how the Beta-C fits into the M249. Tell you what, it definitely fits with an M27 IAR for example- and I could imagine it mounted on there, that's absolutely for sure.

No, your not being anal or tedious, your just doing your thing, which is perfectly fine. I decided to take up an M27 IAR with Beta C-Mags, since the M27 is more accurate, and the 100 rounds will let it suppress when the situation calls upon it. If that isn't a problem, of course.

Can I ask if there's still any room left for me? I'm an 18 year old from the Netherlands who was interested in enlisting, but sadly my country decided to lay off most of the army so here I am. I'm not an expert on these matters (especially American military bussiness..) but I know enough to fit in the role of some lowly private or something? Either way if you are full it's no problem either, I'll just wait for the next of these type of RP's. :)

There are still four positions open, that I'm aware of (three, if you discount the 2nd In Command position) — and you're more than welcome to post a CS. Konrad has said before that he isn't expecting everyone to know every single thing about combat and the military, so you should probably be alright if you use google/wikipedia often to fact-check certain things. Trust me, I'm in your shoes: By no means an expert, but I've managed to play quite a few military characters pretty well using knowledge I found scattered around the internet.

In short, go ahead and write up a CS if you'd like to join us; Konrad will let you know what he thinks about it and if you need to tweak anything :)
