"So, this is Ba Sing Se, eh? She's a beautiful piece o' work, I can certainly say. I can't wait to explore 'er after i've found a place to stay for the night!" A cheery voice with an unmistakable country twang rang out from the city streets. Jacque Baila moved through the crowds of people with a lopsided smirk upon his face as he took in everything the place had to offer. It had only been an hour since he'd arrived via boat, and he could already tell how vastly different from the Foggy Swamp, this place was; the air was thicker, though not completely unpleasant with the scent of perfumes, colognes and various food dishes blocking out the worst parts of the city smog, and although the city lacked trees, it more than made up for it with massive buildings and vendors as far as the eye could see. Jacque's gawking however came to a rather abrupt end as he felt people pressing against him rather uncomfortably. 'It's a good thing I didn't use my bending to make an arm when I arrived. Probably would've led to a few complaints by now.', the water bender mused as he attempted to squeeze out of the crowd, adding in a few polite "excuse me"s and "pardon me"s in an attempt to convince people to make way for him. Unfortunately for Jacque, much like quick sand, all the struggling did was plunge him further inwards until a gap sent him sprawling onto the ground. "Ouch.." Jacque muttered as he slowly sat up and looked around with confusion for a brief moment.
The reason for the gap soon became apparent as he laid eyes upon a group of people -four men on one side, and two women and a man on the other- appeared to square off. "Uh oh. I know I wanted to see something interesting, but this isn't what I had in mind", Jacque muttered as he uncapped his water skin and bent out it's contents. In a flash of movement, Jacque was back to his feet with a massive limb made of water in place of his missing arm separating the two groups, "Hey now, there's no reason for y'all to be fighting on a fine day like this. Let's all just settle down and go our separate ways before the police arrive and things get even worse, yeah?" he asked in the sort of soothing-yet-somehow-firm tone an adult would use to break up children.
