Down in Mitakihara City Tyrien sat on the rooftop of an abandoned apartment building. Sitting there he gazed out onto the road taking in the sight, then his phone rang. It was a text from his girlfriend asking when he would be home. He couldn't go home until he killed the witch that is known to appear in this area, but wanting to keep his girlfriend away from that kind of world he couldn't tell her the truth. He simply replied "I have a few errands to do first, be home in a few hours hopefully". Just as he sent the message he felt a sudden wave of energy, tucking the phone away he looked up noticing his surroundings were changing. He was being sucked into the witches world. This witch was known to be a rather powerful one, so he would have to expect most of the new witches would also arrive. Which should give him a good chance to get to know the new people who took the pact, but it also probably meant Tokoma would come. Hoping to not only get a grief seed but also take advantage of the new people.

Tyrien would have to make sure that didn't happen. As the world shifted he simply ended up in a long corridor, slowly he made his way down the corridor since the witch could attack at any moment. But then he reached a door, and cautiously he opened it. Instantly the witch seemed to throw some sort of arm or tentacle at him, it was too quick to get a good look as he jumped out of the way. Then getting his balance he lunged directly at the witch, spear drawn and focusing his magic onto it in order to deliver a deadly blow. There weren't any other magical girls or boys currently at the scene, so he had no need to divert any of his magic into defense spells for now.

Under a full moon
Right beyond every corner
Danger lies in wait

- Autumn of the East

Toshiro sat in his room, doing one of the only things that seemed to calm him down nowadays: Writing. Poems. Lines upon lines of poems. For some reason, he had a really bad feeling about tonight and he was doing the best he could to distract himself. A paranoia that he could not explain without threatening his image of being sane. A threat from which his protection had long since vanished. Something which could grab him at any moment. The only way he could stop constantly thinking about how he could be dragged into a witch's labyrinth without his sister to save him the very next moment was to write.

Taking a moment to read over his poem and to make sure that he was following the 5/7/5 convention of Haiku, Toshiro posted the poem on his online blog, not sure if anyone would even ever read it. Leaning back, he stretched for a moment, his left hand reaching out and feeling the cutting knife he had with him as a... safety measure, just to make sure it was still there, ready to be grabbed on his instinct.

Slightly comforted by the fact that his less than useless self defence weapon was there, he leaned forward and began typing again.

A young girl was running through the streets of Mitakihara City.
But unlike most young girls, she had a peculiar reason to be running. Not running to school, not trying to run to the restaurant her date was at, running home from school.
No.

She was running because she was hunting down a witch to fuel her magical powers to kill more witches, to regain more of her magical powers. She was hunting a witch for grief seeds and damn if school, a date or coming home from school was going to stop her.

She halted, skidding to a stop. She stared at the witches barrier, and before she knew it, her soul gem was in her hand. Holding it in front of her, it shined and after the flash of light, she was left wearing a brown dress with a nurses hat, a dark green gem in the front-center of her hat. And so, dressed in her magical girl attire, she summoned a scalpel in both hands and stepped into the witches barrier.

If she was lucky, someone wouldn't come in to take her kill and steal the grief seed, or try to fight her for it. But luck, good luck, was found far and few between.

Su,
Mitakihara City

For the last hour, Suzuka had been invisibly tailing an unaware brown-haired magical girl, the same one she had seen from a distance the other day. Now finally it had paid off, with the girl dashing off into the streets unexpectedly, breaking her daily routine for what could only be magical girl business.

Let's see where she's headed, Su thinks to herself with a grim smile. She dashes alongside the girl, carefully following her mark's progress out of the corner of her vision while she focuses on avoiding obstacles and trying to make as little sound as possible. This run through the city didn't last long, as the pair of magical girls quickly find themselves on an abandoned street somewhere in the bowels of the city.

Suzuka stifles a gasp. A witch.

To the untrained eye, there would be nothing particularly special about that road. It was thanks to Su's magical power that she was able to see the roadside for what it was, with a great, black mark signifying the entrance to another world. In a flash of magical light, her target transforms into her true form, that of a Magical Girl, and takes a confident step past the distortion and into the Labyrinth on the other side.

I have to hurry, Su thinks quickly. After waiting for a brief second to ensure nobody else was nearby, Su dashes forwards and follows the other Magical Girl across the boundary, hoping to herself that she didn't accidentally run right into her.

Miyako crouched atop a skyscraper, buffeted by high speed winds that whipped about her and sent green hair snapping wildly, but she showed no fear. She was a magical girl after all, and they were supposed to be fearless, right? They bravely charged into the jaws of death and danger to save the innocent, protect the weak, to strike down those creatures known as Witches, and make sure they couldn't threaten people. At least, that was how she imagined it.

And she, she was one of those brave figures. And since she was, she would do her best to live up to that ideal, to the name and the role she had been given. Even if no one saw, even if she operated in the shadows, she would know, and she would not let anyone down. She had to.

She rose then, casting one last look across the city before she jumped off, going into horizontal free fall as the ground sped towards her. She was weightless, flying, if for a few brief moments, and she could imagine she was free of worldly concerns, of struggling and expectations and hardship. Just her, and the sky.

But reality had to intrude once more, Miyako still falling to the ground. She quickly acted then, materializing her Kusarigama and trowing it, the metal head impacting the wall, so she could use the chain as a rope of sorts, allowing her to arrest her vertical fall to a more horizontal path, leaving her to run across building rooftops. She revels in the physical strength, the skill she had, which she never could have had before as a normal girl. Even now, she still marveled at how incredible it was.

Moving along, she pulled out her Soul Gem, shining a shade of ivory green with spots of black floating inside it. Not too urgent, but she should probably get to hunting anyway. She didn't have that many Grief Seeds to spare. So she sped along, moving through the city at a rapid pace, while keeping an eye out for the flares of magic that would indicate a Witches Barrier

There! As the pulse flared across, Soul Gem glowing that much brighter in the moment, she tossed her weapon once more, using it to help arrest her motion as she dropped to street level. She moved along then, and quickly found the Barrier that she had detected, and wasted no time in heading inside, having missed all the people previously entering it. Time to get to work

Tyrien flew up closer to the Witch, he lunged his spear out and right then the Witch oddly turned leaving the side of it's head vulnerable. Not thinking about it for a split moment he pierced the side of the witches head with his spear. He got it deep enough to deal decent damage, but the blow should have slowed the witch a bit... why didn't it? Then looking where the witch had turned he noticed, magical girls had arrived at the scene. The witch seemed to have sensed the fresher targets and was focused on killing them.

This witch didn't necessarily seem too bright if it would ignore other targets as a result like that... But seeing how his blow seemed to have no real after effect, this could be a witch that goes on strength alone. Quickly he casted a barrier over the other magical girls just before the witch was going to collide with them, instead the witch collided into the barrier halting it's progress. The barrier absorbing the damage the magical girls would of taken, and redirecting it to Tyrien, causing Tyren to get a painful sensation in this gut and fall to the ground as if propelled by the witches crash. Once he hit the ground he got himself up and shouted to the newly arrived magical girls "I've already dealt a hit to the left side of it's head! You'll find an exposed opening there!". Sadly there was no time for proper introductions in the middle of a witch fight.
