BiographyMarc was the third and last son born to Marcel de Santos, a doctor, and Maria de Santos, a school teacher. The family, who hailed from Catalonia but had moved to the US before Marc's birth, was above average in terms of it's wealth as Marc's father did well for himself. There was a considerable age gap in-between Marc and his brothers, so he never truly experienced a childhood with siblings. Marc's father had little time for Marc despite his son constantly trying to impress and gain the attention of his father, more focused on his elder sons succeeding his legacy as a doctor and carrying on the family name, meaning that if it wasn't for Marc' mother and her loving demeanour, he would have been terribly neglected. Thankfully, his mother had always been there for him, and despite her quiet and frail way of things, she was the only one that pushed him through his life and made him in to an intelligent young man.
Marc always knew there was something different about him - he was always the best at sports in school. He ran the fastest, jumped the highest and punched the hardest - which was something he learned after getting in to a fight in school. He was quickly accepted in to the popular sect of the school despite his persona being quite different to the majority of them - whilst they were loud, rowdy and desperate for attention, he was reserved, unreadable and for the most part, quite introverted. He did not require other people's opinions to feel good about himself and rarely got insulted if someone took a dig at him - though he did feel very strongly about things when people insulted his friends and family.
It wasn't until his later-teens that Marc realised his ability to be able to transform. When he did learn about it, everything made sense, though he saw it more as a curse than a blessing, and it would turn out to have negative implications. The first time he truly transformed was when he learned that his father had physically and mentally abused his mother consistently over the last couple of decades. He went from have a great respect from his father and a sadness at a lack of a connection to utterly despising - on impulse he attacked his father and in the process, hospitalized him, nearly killing him. He heard that his father had not seen that it was him who did it - just a huge black cat. His mother had saw him transform, so he knew he couldn't stay. Luckily, his mother didn't tell anyone. After that, all he could do was flee as he knew he could not get away with it. He left home regretfully and hit the streets with no clue on what he was to do next.
Since then, he has taken shelter in crummy flats and motels, living the bare minimum and skirting very close to being homeless, his physical advantage the only thing preventing him from losing everything - he honed his skills in his spare time, waiting for the day he could return home and right his wrongs, unknowing that he may never be given that chance.
