Trixie got to the room as well. Even though it was clear that the married couple wasn't too fond with this change of plans for the night, they were still kind enough to give them a place to rest. And she appreciated that.

Elliot nodded and lead Spencer the way to Trixie's mechanic. If she still had the same mechanic, than this should be the right address. He knocked at the door and waited.

Once the guests were in their room, Ramses went downstairs again, back to his wide. Upon seeing him, she smiled. "So, where were we again?" She asked, pulling him onto the couch and kissing his neck. "I believe we were about to take this off.." He said, giving her shirt a soft tug before starting to pull it up. "Oh yeah, I remember now. But we have to be quiet..." She answered. Ramses showed his wife a smile, just before someone knocked at the door. Again. "Oh come on, for God's sake!" The main said frustrated, again getting up and opening the door.

"And what do you want?" The man asked, obviously annoyed. His wife and he had agreed to cooperate and he would do so, but he just wanted to spend time with her. Without interruptions.

Jackson nodded and without saying another word, turned around and left the office without waiting.

"And what do you want?"

“Whoah now! Is that really any way to greet your protectors, hmm?”

Spencer smiled innocently, clenching his fedora in hand and bowing forward to properly introduce himself. Tipping it back on, his eyes flicked to Elliot for a fraction of a second before turning back to the man at the door.

“Sorry to bother you pal, but we were wondering here if you’ve had any customer’s pass by recently. Has business been booming? Hmm? Oh right! Sorry about that again! See, we’re from the Imperium and we’re off doing surveys to small shops like yourself. Busy economy, right?”

He said this all smoothly. So smooth, that it almost seemed as if the entire matter didn’t care to him at all.

"The shop isn't mine. My wife is the mechanic, not me. But yes, it's been pretty busy lately. Too busy, actually, and it's a lot of stress to deal with for her." Ramses said, looking at Spencer. He honestly didn't care if his greeting had been kind, he just wanted this to get over with and have a nice, peaceful night with his wife. That was all he wanted at the moment, really. Was that too much asked for?

Unfortunately for Ramses, spending a much deserved night with his wife was a bit too much to ask for. If Spencer was fazed at all by his hostility, he didn’t show it.

“Oh? That’s too bad. I hope she finds the strength to carry on soon. Lotsa crazy things can happen in this world, and it’s always best to be…prepared.”

The suit-clad man turned an eye over to Elliot.

“Well? Anything you wanna add in?”

Back in the bedrooms, Kiara sat up from her bed and looked at the door. She had heard the front door knock and open; she was much too stubborn and paranoid to dismiss it so easily. Damnit. They had found them already? Then it again, it was the Imperium. Should she tell Trixie to run for it? Or should she fight back?

That would only threaten the mechanic and her husband even further….

"I'm quite sure we're prepared good enough. She'll be just fine." Ramses said in response to Spencer, hoping the two of them would just leave already. He really wasn't in the mood for all of this.

When Spencer asked Elliot if there was anything he had to say, the man nodded, looking at Ramses. "Yes, we were wondering if you had seen a certain AI around here, accompanied by a red haired woman. The Ai is named Trixie and one of your wife's customers. The two of them have broken the law and are currently on the run."

Ramses looked at Elliot, genuinely surprised. He had no idea that he'd let two criminals into his house. If he had known this, he'd never let them get inside in the first place. "We did meet two people similar to who you described, they asked for a place to sleep. If they are the criminals you looked for, we didn't realise, and let them in. I can show you where they should be sleeping." Ramses honestly said, deciding it would the best to just be honest. He didn't want to make things worse than they already were.

Spencer tipped his fedora forward, his grin widened only a centimeter slightly. So the Catalyst was here after all? How interesting this night had turned out to be.

“We appreciate the assistance good sir. Please, allow us to take it from here,” he said, making a gesture to enter the house.

Ramses nodded, stepping aside so the two of them could get into the house. "The bedrooms are upstairs, they should be there." He told them, before getting back to the couch, where his wife was, who quickly pulled her shirt down again before the men entered the place.

"Who are they?" She asked her husband, taking a look at the two.

"They're from the Imperium, they're here for Trixie and the other girl. It's nothing to worry about." He said to reassure her.

"They're from the Imperium, they're here for Trixie and the other girl. It's nothing to worry about."

“Yes, nothing to worry about…Elliot, would you mind checking the rooms? I’m sure you’d like to speak with the AI hostage, wouldn’t you?”

Spencer made sure to emphasize the word “hostage”, glancing back at Ramses and his wife. He was fully intending to let them know just how dangerous the criminal they willingly let in really was.

Back in the bedroom, Kiara heard voices coming from down the hallway and placed her hand in her pocket, ready to summon her weapon if need be. This was definitely the Imperium. Why else would they ask to come into the house? Whirling around, she gripped Trixie’s shoulder and shook it firmly.

“We have to leave. Now.”

"Hostage? Ramses, what are they talking about?" The woman asked, looking as if she was about to start panicking at any given moment. She was capable of defending herself, but she was pregnant now. Ramses looked at her and showed her a reassuring smile. "It's okay Maria, you're safe. Nothing is going to happen to either of you, I promise. I will make sure of that." He said.

Elliot nodded, and started heading upstairs.

Trixie nodded, and started looking for the quickest way out of the house.

"It's okay Maria, you're safe. Nothing is going to happen to either of you, I promise. I will make sure of that."

"Oh yes indeed Miss. A hostage. We believe our criminal has taken an AI under her. Think of it as...say, a kidnapping? Dreadful crime indeed. But rest assured, we aim to catch our deadly foe and place them under the jurisdiction of our fair Imperium."

Despite the meaning behind his words, it was evident that Spencer's tone was specifically meant to rile up the woman further. And why not? She had let a dangerous killer right into her home. It only seemed fair that she pay the price for her actions through paranoia and guilt.

Upstairs, Kiara backed closer to Trixie and prepared to defend her if the need arrived. The only exit seemed to be the windows; if the robot had no problem with heights, they might have to jump for it soon.

Ramses shot Spencer an angered glare before focusing on his wife, saying sweet, soothing things to her and trying to calm her down. Spencer was definitely not helping with that.

Trixie noticed Kiara's look and sighed. "Let's go through the window." She said, before jumping out of it. It wasn't like they had any other option.

"They got outside through the window!" Elliot yelled down to Spencer, being just in time to see the two escape. Without hesitation he went after them.

Spencer shrugged in an uncaring fashion to Ramses’s heated glare. He was about to go over and see if Elliot needed any help before the mentioned Knight yelled down at them. Smirking, the suit-clad demon bowed to his two house guests before racing downstairs.

“Hurry it up!”

Kiara took Trixie’s hand in her own and began to make a mad dash for it back into the dark alleyways. The shadows would be their much needed allies on this dark night.

“How about nope!”

Spencer launched forward a chained knife, the weapon wrapping around Trixie’s legs and pulling her down to the ground. Likewise, Kiara fell backwards as well due to holding the AI’s hand too tightly.

Trixie had never been sure if she was capable of feeling pain, but always supposed that it had to be like the unpleasant feeling she had when her body signaled something bad, such as when a client treated her too roughly, or like now. She knew it had to be different from the kind of pain humans felt, though.

Elliot hurried over to the two, using a spell on the two of them that should function as a pair of handcuffs. They couldn't let them escape now, and this should at least make things more dificult for them.

“Shit.”

Kiara knew she was caught, and so did not struggle any further. Her red eyes burning with a challenge, she smirked over at Elliot. A plan was soon formulating in her mind and it became apparent to her that she would have to resort other methods of escaping…

Spencer walked up to the two girls and bowed with a tip of his fedora. It was then when he gestured Elliot towards the supposed hostage.

“Here you go friend. Why don’t you make sure that the hostage is…secure.”

Elliot nodded, looking at Trixie. "Are you alright? Did you get hurt?" He asked her worried, supposing that her wellbeing was still something important, even though she was now considered a criminal.

"Well let's see... Somebody broke into my house, kidnapped me and I'm treated like a criminal, so no, I'm not alright." She answered. She knew she shouldn't get angry at Elliot, as he was only doing his job, but she really couldn't help it.

“Oh? And I suppose you didn’t think this girl wasn’t dangerous in the slightest because…what again?”

Spencer walked up with hands in pockets and a light smirk on his face. By now, he had left the repair shop with only a few parting words to the man and his wife before coming up to observe their supposed criminal.

Kiara only stared at him with a low glare, keeping her mouth shut.

"I didn't question how lethal she was, I just preferred to not be killed by some sword bearing woman that broke into my house, because you know, some people don't want to risk getting killed!" Trixie answered annoyed, glaring at Spencer.

Elliot decided to keep his mouth shut at the moment, not wanting to screw up anything.

By this time, Giltwith and Jackson were not too far away from the location of the capture. Having taken the route following back to the hostage’s house, they deduced the direction the two had no doubt headed and followed the trail there.

“So…I take it your not the type to make conversation on a mission?” Giltiwith asked innocently. He looked over at the other Knight for some kind of response.

"I didn't question how lethal she was, I just preferred to not be killed by some sword bearing woman that broke into my house, because you know, some people don't want to risk getting killed!"

“Oh? Is that right then? And how is that working out for you so far, hmm?”

Spencer’s smirk only widened as Kiara suddenly leapt up and spun around, landing a well placed kick in the center of Elliot’s chest. Likewise, Spencer brandished a single knife in his hand just in case.

"Missons are not meant to bond with one another. I simply do what I'm told to, and I believe that is easier if no emotions or any kind of bonds stand in the way of achieving said goal." Jackson simply answered, looking at Gilwith.

"You might think of me as a cold blooded, emotionless killer, but there's really more to me than that. I just don't show it at work." She added, before deciding that was enough.

"Well I'm sorry for trying to stay alive! How was I supposed to know that she was going to kidnap me?" Trixie snapped.

Elliot failed to react in time to Kiara, cauding him to stumble back and groan, grabbing at his chest as if that would make the pain less, needing a small moment before he recovered from the kick.

Giltwith said nothing more as they continued to trek down their path, the slight raising of an eyebrow being the only indicator of is reaction. All Knights were required to believe in such a thing, and so it was to be their doctrine.

“If that’s the case, then do you have any idea why this Catalyst chose to rebel? Looking back at her initial files, Kiara Bastion was one of the most prominent assassins ever employed by the Imperium. Why would she choose to defect now?”

Kiara flipped away from Elliot’s body as she tried to fight off the handcuffs on her wrist. Spencer glanced over at Elliot before sighing.

“Might wanna get up partner. They’re escaping you know.”

"Well I'm sorry for trying to stay alive! How was I supposed to know that she was going to kidnap me?"

“Hey, you mind helping us escape or what?”

Kiara bent down to lift Trixie to her feet with her bound arms.
