Liz watched the boy walk way. She shook her head. It had been a strange day. "Well Willis I should head back to the clinic. It has been slow today but that doesn't mean it will stay quiet. We should get together more often." she need over and kissed Willis' cheek. "I'll see you later."

Such a cute couple~! Lucifer couldn't help smiling to himself as he took up his position behind the counter. It was so sweet to see such affection between lovers like that...

Oh my! I didn't mess up their date, did I?

Liz slowly made her way back to the clinic. She hoped things would pick up so that she could stay busy. Otherwise she would spend the day thinking about Willis and there odd friendship.

Willis blushed and grinned sheepishly as Liz kissed his cheek "...Er Yes! We should certainly do this again, we must always remember to keep contact..." Willis wanted to say more but he was conscious of time, however he was satisfied with being able to say that much in his awkward stats "But ah... You best go ahead! Don't let me keep you any longer" he finished

Willis stood up from his seat and made his way to the counter "How much?" He said to the waiter who they had now become acquainted with

"Ah...You had a coffee, right? Hold on a moment..." Lucifer took a moment to check the price before showing the bill to the man. It wasn't very much for just coffee, but he still needed to check the price listings from time to time since he was often trying to remember several other things at a time. Not all of them were related to his job, either.

"Mmph" Willis grunted as he looked at the bill, for him it was not much in fact he could probably buy this whole cafe and it would seem he only lost a few cents out of his vast teasury he had been building for the most of his life. Even so the price was still alot of money compared to what it would have costed when he was a boy, mind you this was over a hundred years ago. "Thank you lad" He said as he handed over a few hundred dollar notes, as he never carried dollar notes lesser than that as to prove to his "trade partners" that he did in fact have a large amount of wealth

Lucifer stared at the notes for a second, visibly paling at the thought of trying to figure out change for this. "Um, sir? I'm sorry for this, but do you have anything smaller, by any chance? I'm not sure if we have the proper means to make change for that. It's only a few dollars, after all..." He tried to keep a smile on his face as he asked, wanting to remain polite. "We also accept cards, if you prefer..."

"Hmm? Oh sorry my boy but im afraid i have nothing smaller" He looked at Lucifers pale complexion and grinned "Say, how about you keep the change? Yes, Take it as a tip for your great service, you deserve it lad"

"That's quite a lot. Is that really allowed...?" The catboy's ears flattened slightly and his expression turned confused as he tried to figure it out. As far as he knew, there technically weren't any rules against something like that... even if it did feel a bit awkward. "Um, well, if you're sure about that, sir. Thank you very much, and we hope to see you again at some point." His ears twitched apply as he gave a polite smile to Willis. It truly had been an interesting experience, and he did hope to see both he and Liz again.

"If it isnt allowed I will send you a lawyer!" Willis said half joking half serious as he did not want boy to get into trouble just because he gave him a large tip "Au revior my friend! And have a pleasant day" he said Willis waving as he turned and walked out the door.

Today had certainly been interesting, to think it began with him pulling a gun on some delinquent youth who had little control over his powers and ended with a surprising meeting with his old friend Liz. Altogether it has been a good day he thought as he walked home.

The next day Liz was extremely busy. A nasty bug had hit the slums. She spent the morning healing with her magic and passing out medication. Things had slowed down enough for her to take a break in the late afternoon. She was exhausted and pale. She desperately needed a boost. She was relieved when she reached the cafe.

"Welcome! Please come in-- Ah! It's you, Miss!" Lucifer smiled and his tail swished happily when he saw Liz enter the café. He had been excited to see her again and perhaps try his new theory since that morning. It could bring about so many new possibilities if it worked! "How are you today? It's been about average here, maybe a bit slower than yesterday."

"Exhausted. The clinic has been busy nonstop all morning. A nasty bug has hit the area." Liz told him with a tired smile. "I desperately need a boost in energy. Can I get a caramel mocha and a raspberry muffin?"

"Right away, Miss! It sounds like it's been a difficult day so far, so why don't you take a seat for now and I'll bring them over in just a minute. I'm sure a rest would do a lot of good." The catboy nodded and started preparing the beverage, stopping for a moment to get one of the muffins as well.

Liz quietly made her way to an empty table. She sat with a sigh. She was glad to get off her feet for a few minutes. She was tired. She knew she was dangerously close to overdoing it. She knew the signs well enough. But she couldn't help it. People needed her.

"May I take your order milady" A young man said kindly and smiled as he waited for you and your friends orders.

"oh thank you but Lucifer has already taken my order."Liz told him with a tired smile. "He wanted me to stop by today for something it will probably have to wait until he's off though, I just needed a pick me up."

"Pick me up eh? Well I'll tell you what, We have a really worm chocolate beverage with mint, if that sounds like a pick me up to you. " Katsumi said and then smiled kindly. "It's on the house if....... You'll tell me why your up set?" Katsumi said. There he went again meddling in some persons business in his pursuit to make people smile. The other waiters rolled there eyes and asked why he cared so much. Katsumi ignored them and just smiled.

"I'm not upset." Liz told him softly. "I'm tired. I work at the clinic. There's a nasty bug going through the slums. I tired myself out. That's all. Dont worry. It happens all the time I just need some sugar and caffine then I'll be good for the afternoon shift.

"One caramel mocha and a raspberry muffin, as you requested mast-- ah, Miss!" Lucifer gave his usual bright smile as he walked over to the table with his tail swishing and the requested items in hand. His glasses stayed in his front shirt pocket today, one temple clipping it to the fabric and visible to the outside. Seeing without them was so different! Seeming not to notice Katsumi for the moment, he moved right to Liz's side and placed the muffin and the beverage on the table in front of her. "Here you are, Miss! I hope that you will enjoy them~!"
