Name: Kate Goodall

Age: 28

Appearance:

Kate is pale, with blue eyes, long red hair, and freckles. She’s got a slim fit frame, made for running, but not very well muscled. She often has her hair tied up, constantly tying and retying to eliminate any loose strands of hair. Note, though the picture does not have freckles she does in fact have freckles. She is 5'6"

Clothing: A dirty, stained, white T-shirt, gray sweatshirt (often tied around her waist), black slim fit sweat pants, and sneakers.

Equipment: Backpack with a first aid kit, 2 double a batteries, a flashlight, a toothbrush, a barely filled tube of toothpaste, a full bottle of water, and a wallet with photos of her family and wife.

Weapons: A handgun with three bullets left, and a baseball bat.

Bio/Background: Kate came from a large family located in New York, composed of herself, her parents, and three younger siblings. As the oldest of the bunch, she quickly became accustomed to being her parent’s babysitter, often assisting where mom and dad could not. Taking care of the rambunctious brood of children instilled in Kate a strong sense of responsibility, and probably influenced her future want of having a family of her own.

Junior year of High School would probably be sited by Kate as the worse years of her life. Freshman and Sophomore years were tolerable, even fun. She made a great bunch of friends, nerds like herself. English was her passion, but bullying often accompanies passion, especially in high school. It was bearable, when she was just being teased. But the first time she got caught kissing a girl behind the gym bleachers was when life literally went to hell.

Honestly, her parents and friends support helped to pull her through her crucial junior year. Senior year was all about acceptance.

And college was all about freedom.

That’s where she met Selina. Scared at first, because this pretty exotic lady was a bisexual, and what if a man came and swooped her off her feet? Their relationship started out tender, but eventually turned out to be perhaps the strongest relationship of all the people Kate knows.

Before this apocalypse of sorts struck, she and Selina, married already, had made an important decision to go through with an operation that has Kate pregnant with their biological child. Prior to the apocalypse, they were one of a few couples receiving the operation that was supposed to open a whole new world for same-sex couples. But it doesn’t matter now.

Two months into the pregnancy, Kate’s family had suggested she, Selina, and Kate’s youngest brother, David, go to Arkansas to visit family and bond. David had grown away from Kate over the years, and it was supposed to be an opportunity of family make-up.

Kate doesn’t know if her parents back in New York are alive. She doesn’t know if her sister in California is alive. She doesn’t know if her brother in Washington is alive. All she has now are Selina and David.

Occupation Pre-Apocalypse: Editorial Assistant; working for the same comic book publishing company that Selina was working for.

Name: Selina Gupta

Age: 27

Gender: Female

Race: Indian Caucasian mix

Appearance: Selina's skin is a medium shade of brown, and she has black hair. She's got a very exotic face. Her most outstanding feature is her stunning, almost out of place gray eyes. Her hair is styled in lady mohawk. If her hair is allowed to grow out it becomes more wavy. The mohawk itself is slightly wavy. She is 5'8"

Clothing: A faux leather jacket, olive green tank top, navy blue skinny jeans, and sneakers.

Equipment: Backpack filled with pencil,eraser and notepad, half-full bottle of water, 2 days worth of food, and few comics rolled up and tucked away along with some old sketches, and pictures of Kate and the fam.

Weapons: Pocket knife.

Bio/Background: Selina also grew up in New York, in a biracial family of four. Unlike Kate's modest middle class family, Selina would have called herself almost rich. Both her parents, nerdy doctors, but professional enough to make their lives great. Like a realistic version of the Big Bang theory.

She grew up immersed in comics and art, much more different than her parents, but a result of her parents hobbies. They supported her and supported her equally when she came home with Kate one day.

From here much of her story is the same as Kate's. An operation that's miraculously worked so that Kate is pregnant with their biological child. And a trip to Arkansas thats ended with tragedy. Likewise to Kate, Selina worries about her parent and sister. She's scared of what she'll find if they ever return home, and scared of what her future daughter will suffer if she's born into this world.

Occupation Pre-Apocalypse: Part time comic book artist, part time, Art History professor (just having begun this profession, the year of the pregnancy).

Name: David Goodall

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Race: Caucasian

Clothing: Blue jeans, sneakers, red t-shirt with some sort of logo on it, and a sweatshirt.

Equipment: Smart phone with a pretty busted screen. Some snacks he's managed to scavange from a broken vending machine, and a wristwatch.

Weapons: Crowbar

Bio/Background:
He's got the same early background at Kate, though his life takes a different turn in the middle of high school. It's hard being a teen in a peer pressure environment, but its harder being a teen whose siblings are quickly getting on with their lives and leaving you behind. You wouldn't be lying if you assumed that David was the non-confident younger sibling. By the time he was in college the distance between he and Kate had spanned so wide that the barely even knew each other.

This trip to Arkansas was supposed to fix that. But instead, he's stuck with his sister and his in-law is some post apocalyptic hell.

Clothing: Irene wears blue jeans, black combat boots, she has a black short jacket just incase and a white blank shirt, just casual.
Equipment: Irene carries a bookbag with her, it contains two bottle of waters, a First aid kid and about a pair of jean and shorts. Two day of food supplies, a picture of her parents and that's pretty much it.

Weapons: A pocket knife, found in her father's cabinet.

Bio/Background: Irene was born in south korea, but her parents decided to move to the US, she was just a little girl when the move happen. There, she learned how to speak in english, understand it perfectly and speaks it perfectly too. Her parents both worked at the hospital, her mom was a nurse while her father was a doctor. They taught her how to treat people's woundd with a first aid kit, which is why she carries it around a lot. Ever since she was little, she wanted to be a doctor, not because her father was one, well he was an inspiration but she love to take care of others and help them.
