Haha, what if in the middle of the night, in his frustrations, Lai accidentally stumbles into the wrong room and puts his frustration out on the wrong pillow? XD

Yeah, I agree. Still a little shaky in terms of character for Xeph, he's in slow development so I always feel a little scattered in writing his character and so on. I like that we have all these small little events that help build up their relationship.

You have an. . . .odd spatial thing going on. In my post, there is nothing about going inside or there being more than a few seconds between the first thing Lai says and the second. In essence you put a huge chunk of happening in between two things that that in my time frame happened back to back, and in doing so left me unable to really contribute to said happenings other than making my character a tag along. . . .In other words, I said my character spoke here, and you scrubbed that and put it in your own timeline. To me, Lai said all that stuff outside near that shadowy spot and away from prying ears. . .The only problem here for me that has me on the fence about this is(Well two things) I didn't put in that it was all at once, and it made for a funny post. . . .Still, this falls back to the 'not asking' issue. Also, this rushed things past my character and negated his participation. . .It's rather off-putting.

Building the relationship should be fun.

I'm sorry, I thought that perhaps we were sort of stretching time a little within posts. It's a thing I do when I sort of scrounge for things to fill space, I didn't mean to neglect your post or what your character was doing. Someone really ought to gimme a good smack on the head I tell you, that would be a really interesting day. I couldn't guarantee the person would still be alive afterwards, but I'd thank them in memory.

Would you like me to try and rewrite it so that your character has more chances to interact?

I'll work with it this time, don't worry, just, try and pace yourself back a bit. Each day doesn't have to pass within a certain number of posts. Heck, I have an RP where the love making scene has stretched 20 post, and it's still ongoing, and the scene is only 2/3 done :P RPing is all about responding AND moving the story forward, but responding first :P Look for moments you think my character may have something to do/say and then ask me if he wants to do/say anything or if you can brush right past it. We'll figure out a rhythm, eventually :P You're running just a little bit fast for me right now. I'm more of a savorer than a racer :P

Heh, some would call me bipolar in that regard, because sometimes I just want to race on ahead in posts to get to a specific point and other times, I really enjoy reading posts that essentially make no concrete progress, but definitely drive the depth and emotional aspect of a story. I really hope we can get to the point where we can read each other's hints or moves with some sort of continuity, though not all the time or else it'd leave little room for surprise. I'll definitely try to communicate with you better starting now and I'll try to leave my posts more open ended so we can take this down many different routes and what not.

It's a habit of mine however, to insert things, for example.

A says this and then says that and I'll have B insert something between this and that and then once more after that. I suppose it does make the conversation very fast paced and can cause discrepancies in the time line. Sometimes it's not conversation but actions that overlap or don't fit in too well. Ah, I'm just hoping I can control this habit because I really like rping with you so far and I really don't wanna 'put you off' any more than I already have.

Can I just say, and I mean this in a friendly way, you sound adorable when you're flustered? At least, you come across as flustered, so correct me if I'm wrong, but it just really comes across as cute *Grin*

Anyways, I am enjoying RPing too, I too like moving things along sometimes(Just did a 5 day time skip in one of my RPs) but only after talking to my partner about it. I also don't mine events being inserted between events in my partner's posts, in fact I do it too, however I try to leave it so they can actually respond to it. In this case you could have had Xeph respond to what my guy was saying with his evil plans in mind, but stop the actual post with him rounding up the kids so I could have added my own little hunting scene or at least interactions with the kids and/or teacher. Then in your next post had Xeph bring Lai down and dump all that work off on him.

Also, just a note, and this is not a criticism, but you do realize you have far more paragraphs in your post than you put? Some of your para can be broken into two or even three, so if you're worrying about paragraph count, you're doing fine :P

So, by all means, insert all you want, just keep an eye out for things a nosy little angel may want to put forth his two cents on and keep the questions coming. I will do my best to answer them in a timely manner :P

It's my tendency to rant and I appreciate all your points. If you had met me when I was just starting out writing, it would've been horrible. I grow up in a place where we have a lot of different languages and believe you me when I say I was horrible at all of them at a younger age. The whole writing in even larger chunks and bad tense and grammar and the whole nine yards. And you see I'm ranting again and I'm all flustered still and I would like to formally put all blame on you....
