I am starting to get the impression that sarcasm is a natural state of being for you :P

I was serious, but yeah, I was cursed to sound sarcastic by the wicked with of the north-west because I stole her uncle's uncle's aunt's blue topaz slippers...

But it actually sounds like a really pretty plae. We don't have things like natural lakes or mountainous terrain, just hills and one small stretch of land. It takes maybe three to five hours with car to drive from one end of the country to the next :(

It is pretty, once you get away from the people. If it weren't for the crowding of people, it would be even lovelier than it is now.

I imagine a few thousand years when all the big old buildings are mossy and broken in placs just enough to let the light filter through. Crumbly bricks and stone, vines climbing everywhere...leaves crunching underfoot and the dust motes dancing in the light. A peaceful silence broken by the fluttering of butterfly wings. An enchanted glade of broken down memories...Does it snow there? I've never seen real snow before, is it as bad as everyone says it is? xD

Snow is good, I love it, and there is snow outside right now. And that is a pretty image. Also, I have to start cooking soon, and after the dinner thing I will likely sleep. It will prolly be tomorrow before I can do any RP responses.

God damn, your angel is turning out more devilish to be honest, at least slightly. I like to think I'm getting the hang of Xephos a little more, isn't it strange how characters always turn out different from what you expected?

My characters come to me in a way different from most. They present themselves, fully formed and unchangeable. Lai is exactly what her first presented himself as, and I envy people who have characters that seem different at the beginning or can be changed.

Mine always come as a sort of sometimes stereotypical or vague words of description and then they eventually find that one point were something defines them and then they start building their history and more of themselves. Then it feels better writing for them. I don't like winging it all the time, but it happens. I wasn't too sure how to make this open ended, but I was thinking we can skip to the next day or Lai can ask around about the father or even find him if he wanted to. I hope it was alright, I thought it was better than what I usually do, but if it's not then it tells you about my sense of judgment doesn't it? I think my rambling passed on a little to Xeph as well :p

For me, they present themselves as fully formed, but it takes actually role playing them to actually see all of them. Someone would ask me a question about them and the answer would just jump to my mind. It was always there, but not until that moment would it be relevant.

It looks fine, and it means Lai won :P So to speak.

I envy your ability to create such full formed characters at one go. I wouldn't stumble as much if I could also do that.

It's less of a talent and more of a curse. No matter how much I want a certain hair color or a certain plot twist, if my character says no, then htere's nothin' doin'. . . . . .I should be getting to a post soonish, I hope :P

Aw, but that still happens when you have a really well formed character. The only way around it is to get external plot twists that don't have much to do with the chara unless it's part of their history. That's another problem with not knowing your character well, there can be plot holes or slightly changed backstory from the beginning, though I try to make it work. :{

Also, if you ever need a hair color change for Lai, I'm sure someone there can be a good prankster.
