**Incomplete OOC; I need to include the Occupation piece, as well as the definition to the Influence and other roleplay mechanics. Please feel free to post your characters for now, but be prepared to edit it. This will be changed tomorrow. :) **

Welcome to the something annual opening of the luxurious



You have been joyfully invited or forcibly forced to spend a luxuriously luxurious hotel of luxury. yay.

[~The Story~]

However not all is luxuriously; The manager, one Ketlin Bolts, is on a chronic search throughout the building: a dangerous thief who plans to steal... something from the hotel! We can't have that now can we? With this going on please do enjoy your stay at our fine establishment, get a nice drink at the bar, take a nice swim in the pool, eat out at our three star restaurant, but most importantly! Please do mind the manager, and anyone else acting 'strange'. This will only cramp the fun you will be having here at the grand 8-bit Hotels!

The actual "Story Mode" of this roleplay will be based off the ideal of assimilation, similar to John Carpenter's The Thing. Characters who are "enabled" to be in Story Mode will have things happen to them, where some players might get private messages depicting if they're "influenced" or not.

[what is The Influence?]

As the roleplay continues, characters (enabled in storymode) may find themselves "influenced" by a darker power. This influence will be passed onto various roleplayers as the story progresses, from private messages by me.

The influence itself is an assimilation process of short, where if one is influenced, they become another person... or the same person who is controlling the influence. The influenced will act like who they were originally perfectly, but will have goals an objectives brought down by the main controller. The influenced gain strange, powerful abilities if they were to be found out. These are granted by the main influencer, and cannot be activated by the influenced themselves. In the future of the roleplay there will be a cure to the Influence, but for now it's permanent.

The rules for The Influence are as follows:

0) These rules will be mostly about "if I tell you to do something, do it" with your characters; Please don't take it as me being unfun or bossy, I am taking control of your character at all; This is just to keep story going, and to keep people questioning who is influenced or not. Please carefully read through these, :S

1) When I private message a player and tell them that their character is influenced, they cannot argue against it.
2) When your character is influenced, you will play that character as you would normally: I will send you "objectives" that your character needs to do, or things your character needs to do in their next post. (These objectives don't need to be completed in one post, but of the course of some if needed)
3) In my private messages I will ask people to show off symptoms; (Example: Hair falling out, biting your thumb until it bleeds) They will need to put this somewhere in their posts cleverly, as they would with "objectives.
4) I suggest strongly that if one of your characters is influenced, that they should keep it subtle. The influence does not change how your character acts immediately, and if you become recently influenced you shouldn't hint at it in your posts.
5) Feel free to also suggest ideas to me about what your character can do! I'm always flexible with that. :)
6) As with the objectives and symptoms piece, I may even send you dialogue that your character will say in their next post.
7) People can only be assimilated by if I private message them, another influenced cannot declare a person assimilated without my consent. I will be able to do this when I see an interaction that would involve this,

1) Standard Roleplaying manners (No godmodding, auto-hitting/dodging)
2) No arguing with the GM, or with anyone in the OOC or IC,
3) Put "wow what a terrific audience" at the end of your Character Sheet if you read the rules,
4) Three Character limit currently,
5) Roleplayers must wait for two other people to post before they can post again.
6) Original Characters are allowed,
7) You do not have to be apart of Story Mode, as this roleplay is Sandbox oriented. However if your character is enabled you must be flexible with how the "Influence" works. **I will add in the definition of the Influence tomorrow**
8) As I will be giving players the freedom to have their own interactions and stories in the hotel, the only thing I request is that it is not larger than the Story Mode.

History:

She began to seriously strive to be a pianist, but her parents couldn't afford the music school and lessons she needed. As a result, she was forced to quit. In present time, she still can't let it go, and began to feel jealousy towards others who were able to achieve their aspirations, most notably Hinako. Ultimately, her escape is lashing out at others.

Personality: Tennessee Kid has an enthusiastic and confident personality. Despite joking most of the time, he takes his family legacy very seriously, He does seem to show a more 'heroic' side when someone (usually a girl) is in trouble.

Likes: Thieving (usually crooked lawmen), jokes, having a good time (things of this nature).

Dislikes: People 'funnin his family name', Spiders, Getting caught.

History: Tennessee Kid was one of the greatest outlaw's in the old west signifying his legacy with a bank robbery. However at one point time was changed and Tennessee was jailed. He was also tried for the bank robbery that he didn't commit thanks to him being in jail for that time.As Sly had gone back in time to free Tennessee from his cell Tennessee worked with Sly to not only stop Toothpick (who robbed the bank in the first place) but to also get his gold back and signify his place in history.

Personality:Death is described as an arrogant, sarcastic, cold and calculating anti-hero who is resourceful and opportunistic. He has seen and done many things that could be considered immoral, ranging from genocide, the destruction of entire worlds and the creation of weapons of world-ending power. He doesn't wait for things to happen, rather, he causes them to happen. Death also appears to be quite cunning, as shown during the Abomination crisis. During the incident, he formulated an intricate plan, based on decieving both his ememies and allies, to destroy the Ravaiim blood needed to power the Abominations. The plan, though requiring the sacrifice of his own brother, succeeded entirely as he intended. He is very harsh on his brethren, as he was not hesitant in cutting off War's left arm in order to teach him a lesson. Also, unlike his brother War who considers killing as his duty, Death sees killing as an art.

Despite this, he cares deeply for his brothers and sister. He took a blow for Fury, brought War back to life after being killed. He also showed that he was willing to stand up to the Charred Council to prove his brother's innocence, and said to Crowfather at one point that he would "storm the White City" itself if it meant saving War. Additionally, he sacrificed both himself and the souls of the Nephilim to erase War's supposed crime and resurrect humanity. He also saved Uriel and her squad of Hellguard angels from a Suffering on the destroyed Earth, though not without grumbling about it. Even though he declares that he is nobody's errand boy, he helps many in their endeavours. Death's tendency to help others was commented on by Oran, who observed that he was not as cold as he pretended to be, to which Death responded that he should keep it to himself. He also posesses a dry, sardonic wit and sense of humor, and sees killing as an art rather than a duty as War does.

As the Rider of the Pale Horse, he often appears somewhat morbid and ominous towards those who speak to him. He is starting to feel guilt for some of his past actions such as the creation of the Grand Abominations and the destruction of his fellow Nephilim. It should be noted that, despite his often abrasive nature, he is the only one of the Horsemen to feel remorse over the destruction of the Nephilim. In addition, he also felt terrible guilt and remorse for purposely allowing War to die as a result of his planning during the Abomination crisis, so much so that he could not bring himself to tell War the truth about what had happened after resurecting him.

I'll think I'll add my main elf OC character and one of my favorite video game stars.

Role: Tourist
Personality:Blue is that happy-go-lucky guy who is always great to have around. There is not a day where he does not have a smile on his face, he smiles so much it seems painted onto his face. Even in dark time he keeps himself as optimistic as he can. While he is happy most of the time he is shy around people other than humans or elves. He does not like being left alone and will let you know if he wants attention. But there seems to be something... off about this elf boy. He seems to have a medieum level of insanity, enough to get him into a mental hospital. Sometimes, however, he seems to get it under control... sometimes. Behind his shell of happiness is a very emotional elf who just wants to be loved by other people, even if he never shows his longing to love. He also has a short temper and a natural hatred for orcs.
Likes: Exploring anything, being with friends, fighting, pizza, making his own way with out anyone telling him what to do, good food, and hot weather.
Dislikes: The cold, pain, seeing anyone sad, losing a fight, being chased or hunted by something, orcs, and not being able to do anything.
History: Blue's history is widely unknown, even to him. No one has ever asked him if he is related to humans in some form, but even if someone did he would not reply. Granted, he would give some zany answer is asked, or maybe even something logical. All that is known is that he has some history with the dark elf overlords, hinting the fact he may be an elf cross breed.
Other: He can eat his own weight in one sitting, and a ton more if he pushes himself.

Personality: Mario is a block of joy. Clear minded and golden hearted, Mario is a joy to everyone and everything he meets. His heroic nature disallows anyone near him to suffer for to long, even if it is a simple thing like spilled candy. If there is one thing about him that can't be calmed down, it's his optimistic cheerful nature. Nothing can get him down for too long, and the few times he is sad it's a but funny to hear his comical crying. However, he seemed to enjoy beating/destroying evil way too much, which can confuse him as a psychopath.
Likes: Going on adventures, Italian food, mushrooms, acrobatics, sports, music, video games, his friends and family, and basically everything that's not grim or sadistic.
Dislikes: Evil, M rated games, gun weapons, sickness, being lonely, the inability to help people, and cruel people.
History: Oh come on, everyone knows this.

Age: Around 4-6 human years

Series: Wanko to Kurasou

StoryMode: Enabled

Role: Security

Personality: Kotarou is easy going and somewhat simple minded and gets over things fairly quickly. She will still be on guard around people she doesn't like or trust, "Forgive but never forget." is a saying that fits her. She refers to herself in the 3rd person as "Kota". She is also responsible and determined to do a good job.

Likes: Her friends, being praised, her owner, spending time with animals, and doing a good job.

Dislikes: Mean people, people who hurt her friends and/or owner, and heat.

History: Kotarou is a anthropoid wolfhound. Despite her average intelligence, she is a highly respected police dog, due to her excellent pedigree resulting in high capabilities. She was extremely violent and aggressive when younger, seriously injuring her owner. Now that she is more mature, she regrets behaving like she did. She is now working as security for the 8-Bit Hotels as security, and also to trying to develop some Independence by spending time away from home.

Other: Being an anthropoid dog she will go into heat in the spring and fall, and because of this she will have to leave a few day during those times to have it taken care of.

Personality: While he is friendly to most students, he can act sternly when his advice is not taken seriously or wholly. He tends to make jokes and usually isn't serious unless the situation calls for it.

Dislikes: Not being taken seriously, having his advice ignored

History:The Nurse is the head nurse of Yamaku whose name is not given. After working at Yamaku for some time he moved on to a new job at the 8-Bit Hotels as medical staff and has moved in as a tenant of the hotel.

Age: Claims to be in her late teens

StoryMode: Enabled

Role: House cleaning and room service

Personality: Although her personality can be seen as perfectly elegant, she possesses a little deviation that she is extra cautious about: inability to eat hot foods. She speaks in a refined manner when referring to her higher ups and those she is serving but is more casual with those under her in the job ladder or strangers.

Likes: Serving her master, cleaning, and cooking

Dislikes: Hot food, disrespect to her master, and the mere mention of the word "Pad".

History: Sakuya essentially takes the position of managing the Scarlet Devil Mansion as the Head Maid. She was not born in Gensokyo, and the name "Sakuya Izayoi" was given to her by Remilia Scarlet. Now for reasons unknown she is working at the 8-Bit Hotels at the behest of her Mistress Remillia.

Other: She can fill the cook role if needed and the mention of Pad may result in unpleasant consequences.

Alright CS number two comin up.

Appearance: Image is a bit big.
Name: Courier Six
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Series: Fallout New Vegas.
StoryMode: Enabled (Need some 'psycho' in someone's drink? This is your guy XD.)
Role: Bartender (Can double as Security or Medical staff if the situation calls for it.)

Personality: Six is an interesting one. At first he seems like a nice person. Willing to help out anyone in need at the blink of an eye but there is more to this man. Inside he's slightly paranoid preventing him from trusting others unless they manage to get under his metaphorically speaking 'barriers'. If any an get through to him they would find that he is really a broken individual just waiting for the cold embrace of death to take him but he won't let it without a fight. There is also a 'darker' side of him that seems to appear if he's knocked out or in serious trouble. This 'darker' side is a sadistic individual who seems to enjoy killing and seems to want to protect his 'friend' (Yes Six suffers from multiple personality disorder.) at all costs. (Six's personality is akin to how you play so that's why his may seem different compared to some.)

Likes: Whiskey, Guns (mainly revolvers), helping others, food with no radiation in it,

Dislikes: Raiders, Mutated animals and insects (F**king Cazadors XD.), any other alcohol types.

History:Sometime before the events of Fallout: New Vegas, the New California Republic sacked Navarro and recovered unfamiliar technology but with familiar symbols which they linked to similar ones in the Divide. Soon after, they sent the Courier to deliver a package to the Divide; a package which turned out to be a detonator containing missile launch codes. The package supposedly "woke up" and sent the detonation signal to missiles locked in the silos, resulting in massive earthquakes and powerful storms. After that event along with Six other Couriers Six was sent out to deliver an item to The Strip. He was intercepted and took a bullet to his brain thanks to Benny. Somehow however he survived and was brought to Goodsprings by Victor where he was patched up. From there on he roamed the wastes on the trail of Benny who he did eventually find. With that and his work securing victory for the NCR at Hoover Dam Six disappeared one day without a trace.

Other: The sot to the head supposed created Six's 'darker' side (at least for my playthrough XD.). He is carrying Chem's on him but prefers to use them medically. Six carries two revolvers and a katana on him at all times (unless the boss doesn't want him to.
