Thanks, going to go ahead and create a list of accepted character sheets on the first post so everyone can find them. Not sure what's still possible on the new RPG site but I remember being able to do that on the old one.

I've little interest in creating characters and locations for the games of others. However, I saw that you said you only have one composer.

You misunderstand the point of our process then. We're allowing those who would normally not be able to make their own game (either because of other priorities in life or simple lack of skill) to be able to have their creations brought to life that would otherwise never be seen. We don't make any money off of "your" character, and I could very easily make up my own, I have dozens upon dozens of these written in Google docs. This is just a way of rewarding you for support and also letting you be involved in a deeper level than an update we email out every few weeks/months.

If that's not for you that's fine. Just don't paint us out to be villains. Also as far as the composer thing goes I'd be interested in hearing your music. I haven't put a lot of money into the music right now, we have a few songs but that's about it. We're really focused on getting the art and website done at the moment but I would like to have multiple talents involved. I've even considered that say you're a talented guitar player and you want your character to play guitar if you can record the music and send it in we'd be happy to make your guy "play" that song. (Of course at that point we need to compensate you for your musical addition to our game which is more legal work I'm not sure we want to do)

Overall thank you for pointing out an opinion others may have as well. I need to find the best way to address this. I don't want people to feel like their idea is stolen from them, it's the opposite.

Yes, though it's more so associated with the Dragon Lords...which are mostly dead now....there's another group that has "magic" but there in a city not in the RP at the moment. And it's only possible within that city due to details I will share at a later date when that city is revealed

I think the more appropriate way to word what I was thinking would be "I greatly enjoy creating game characters and locations, but typically prefer to keep my creations to myself like a greedy bastard." That aside, you can find my music here and here. I've been working with VST plugins lately as opposed to soundfonts, so the sounds you'll hear in most of my songs aren't quite what you'll get in future works.

edit: And I totally get what you mean about keeping your creations your own. That's fine, if you want to RP you don't have to have your character in the game. Actually we're not going to add it unless you paid for it to be made, so it's actually extremely easy to NOT have the character get put in haha. We can't afford to without your support.

Lots of good questions, that original post was so long I may have missed some parts here and there to mention amongst it all. Now to answer those questions...

The player is under a group called "Main Characters" I don't talk about them a lot here because they're heavily story related and therefor only created by the team. They're the only characters not able to be made by the community.

More specifically the main player is Dean as seen here:

About a year prior to when the game(s) take place. Which is a few years after all the Dragon Lords were wiped out, making him one of the few Dragon Lords remaining, though he is not on the same level as the old Dragon Lords who had years of honing their skills and much older, larger dragons.

He's unique in that he has abilities that give him an edge over most people. But the thing is he's for the most part on his own and it is very possible to get killed by the groups of enemies you face. Instead of enemies having levels you instead face smarter enemies. Patrols will start to place archers on the roofs to watch over them, instead of fighting a group of Herons you may fight two Herons and a Toad behind them who provides support, and you'll need to use your skills and the environment to give you an advantage in someway to balance out the odds. (Be it splitting up the group, taking out people with stealth, avoiding them entirely, or so on)

To answer a couple of your other questions the RP will take place here and it will be free. The other website and the thing that cost money is completely separate and is optional. Basically what my team and I are doing is setting up a crowdfunding site in which by supporting us you in turn get to come up with your own ideas for content in the game (characters, locations, quest) and our team will make them for you. The goal of which is to have you only pay for what is needed to make your content and have investors invest money equal to that so we can make our own content to flesh out other parts of the game(s).

I chose to bring this back to the guild here because, one this is the place that inspired me to create this story, which has changed a hundred times since the rp it was based off of but still the roots of it. Secondly is because you guys love to make up your own characters and worlds and see them come to life so I thought maybe you guys and gals would be the most likely to be a part of this. Lastly I just needed some people to find out what flaws were in the character sheets so I could fix them before asking for people's money.

And to wrap that all up this is an RP that is based off a series of games that are based off an rp.....yeah. Does that answer everything?
