Ashlynn Coriban
Age:24
Personality:Ashlynn is a bit of a hot-head, often running into things head on and thinking about the consequences later. It’s only when she’s concentrating and focused on a task that she can calm down and relax. She’s horrible about reading the room, or understanding the situations she gets herself into; she’d rather go with her gut instinct then think about the smart way out. More often than not it just gets her into further trouble, but every now and then she comes out victorious. Her personality is a bit of a child's in that aspect, but she has a strong sense of justice and despises people who don’t know the meaning of working for a living. She’s as easily to get into an argument as she is to teach someone how to do something.
Strong-willed and completely sure of herself, Alysnn does what she thinks is right.
Occupation:Blacksmith
History:It wasn’t until her father started falling ill from the furnace, that she started to take on more and more work. By the age of 16 she had more or less succeeded her father, refusing to let him work and let his health decline further. Often times she would only allow his to watch for a few hours before shooing him off. She knew it killed him to be away from his work, but his lungs had started to corrupt from the heavy smoke and in her heart she knew eventually it would happen to her.
The older twin of Haldor’s former blacksmith.
Traditionally the trade would have been passed on to the oldest son, but the family was only blessed with twin girls, slender things with flaming red hair, both quick to mischief and even quicker to dinner. The old man thought that no one would be able to take over his trade, his youngest daughter Lyla preferring books and studies. It was easy to see that she would follow her mother as either a healer or a teacher, but it was with his other daughter he found an heir.
The small girl was as hot blooded as he was, and seem enthralled by his furnace and the rhythmic pounding of his hammer. Since a young age Alsynn sat in her father’s shop, watching him work, breathing in the smoke and metal dust completely unfazed; he had found her once struggling to pick up his large hammer only succeeding to drag it around the floor. Her father was a kind man, always full of warmth and life who did what he could to instill his small girls with a sense of pride and self. His own brother had been easily influenced by a traveling lord who need a new manservant, leaving the the trade to fall on the younger sibling.
Alysnn hated the idea of going to school, she would rather stay in their shop helping with bookkeeping or writing out orders. She would often stay there late with her father helping him but on finishing touches and wrapping up the goods to be delivered in the morning.
So it went on for years, both redhead’s becoming completely enthralled with their chosen crafts, Alysnn learning how to craft metal to her will and to shape it into what it wishes to be; Lyla studying plants and mixing powders to heal ailments.
By the age of 24 she had become renowned in several villages close by, merchants started traveling more and more to Haldor wanting her and her sisters wares.
