@Sep: Your right, certainly, but part of the reason this Taskforce was developed was to give the Republic means to defend against future Sith without any Jedi intervention or aid. Their presence is welcomed, yes, but actually non vital since no one wants to become too reliant on them. Partly politically motivated by certain groups post Great Hyperspace War, and since the amount of canon information available is fairly sparce for the period I chose (which gives more leeway for making things up and giving players more leeway to work with, story wise amongst others, like the setup I have planned for the taskforce). Jedi do gain more leeway and standing based on that alone, but the way the Taskforce is organized, they are auxiliaries attached to the command, rather than integral parts of it. So, while they may not like it, they do make reports to the senior commanding officer while attached and utilizing Taskforce resources., if they don't like it, they can leave. Its not a formal Superior/Subordinate relationship, but it is an agreement of sorts, that the Jedi attached will try to maintain some chain of command, even if its not formally being ordered about like regular officers and enlisted would be.
@NarcissisticPotato: Your more than welcome to join whichever side you wish, as long as you enjoy your time spent on it, thats what counts.
On a general note, I am working on fleshing out details for the OOC right now, expanding on the Taskforce and its military and logistical strengths, what intel will be available initially on the Sith Empire forces acting here, as well as some other stuff that will need to be addressed. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to voice them here or in PM, and I'll do what I can to implement them, if reasonably possible. I dont want this to turn into some chore that folks aren't enjoying, so if I do gloss over something by accident that someone feels is too important to do so, feel free to either call me out or PM me about it, and I'll try to work something out with you based on your concerns and how everyone else is taking it. I hope that is a fair enough outlook for everyone interested so far.
