I've developed a peculiar patience towards waiting for NRP updates, given that the ones I've participated in in the past have ranged from a month to two in between updates.

I know I should have no part in this but what is wrong with just giving people the result of their orders and getting them to write it? Far less work and research for the GM and you weed out the absent. You would of course have to get approval for what you had written from the GM and have a deadline much like the update. IE post your update from Friday to Sunday and you have the rest of the week to get your treaties and interactions sorted out. And you could have separate update posts and reaction posts. Or something...

I like that idea. Lets the players have a hand in writing the update and what their country does and it saves the GM some time.

I wouldn't know what to write honestly, but I guess that it might be better for preserving this RP's existence.

I can understand, that game is fricken epic and deserves to be replayed before skipping the piece of crap that Dragon Age 2 was and going straight to the good bits (AKA Dragon Age Inquisition)

While I did not join this iteration of WiR (although Rare did try to recruit me, but I told him I was too busy IRL), I feel this must be said: Outcast's WiR 1862 was 'lighting in a bottle'. Outcast's version enjoyed both an active GM and active players who kept the game alive. Due to the nostalgia of Outcast's version, several people have attempted to recreate it (or create another version of WiR), and so far every single one has failed. I can recall on top of my head three RP's, with this one probably going to be the fourth. Unless we have someone who can fully dedicate his (or her) efforts to the game, I foresee this repeating. Just my 2 cents.

I could definitely take on, with one other person, a new version of WiR. Eras would be up for vote, if you guys would like to have a GM to dedicate the time to it. I'll need a co-gm, so any volunteers could PM their outstanding NRP Resume. :p

I'd take the Co-Gm job. Also if you would host one, I would say a Ww2 one would rock.
