Day 0 - Near the end of convention day

"What some day today..." Julie mumbles to herself as she walked down one of the big hallways in the convention center. It was getting pretty close to the end of the day, and it wouldn't be long until she and the other convention-goers here would be kicked out. Well...that shouldn't be a problem, because she did do what she wanted to do this entire day. She had a whole bag filled with all of the video game and anime/manga goodies, she happened to get a good amount of cosplay pictures of the others at the con, and happening to meet up with an old friend of hers that she didn't know was around until now. Speaking of which...where did her old friend go off to? Taking a moment to remove the blueberry lollipop from her mouth, Julie goes to check her phone for the number of her friend that she happened to pick up earlier.

"I wonder if Mari had time for some time to hang out at my hotel room...I did bring some of my games over, like Bayonetta and Smash. Yeah, she needs to play that," Julie said to herself, waiting for her old friend to pick up her call. Well, this made her attention span a bit limited, so she could just accidentally run into someone that was around.

David smiled as he won a life size TARDIS. he was happy they got it in hotel room, but knew it would be trouble to get it home. He had a bag full of games, comics, movies and anime goodies. He fixed his fez and bowtie. He got some sweet pictures and awesome artwork by people. David walked around to see some people he knew. He broguht his 3DS, his copy of Pokemon X and Smash bros. He got some good battles while he was here. As he was chekcing his phone for any texts and bumped into some girl in a Bayonetta cosplay. "Ow...." he fell over dropping his fez, and bag. "Sorry about thart. Sweet Bayonetta cosplay."

Sarah Covenry moved through the exhibits, eyeing the various wares. She was more of a fantasy girl these days, enjoying Song of Ice and Fire, Mistborn Saga and a number of different novels but now that she was looking at all the anime and manga she might consider getting back into them. She'd watched a fair bit of anime in the past. She'd enjoyed Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop and many others but she'd lost interest at some point... somewhere in the middle of Bleach if she remembered correctly. It reminded her of Dragonball with the long fight scenes that just went on forever.

At least she'd gotten to play a Mystery House. That was cool. Solving riddles to get from room to room and she'd played a few games of Dungeons and Dragons and participated in a Magic: The Gathering event involving sealed boosters. That was good since she didn't have any cards of her own. Those cards, along with a few DVDs were in her bag of swag.

That was when a group of three boys just stopped and stared at her, reminding her that she was in costume. Her long dark hair was coiled beneath a wig that wouldn't have been out of place on a Barbie doll and she was wearing a harem outfit that would likely be classified as lingerie by most. A black bikini top took the place of her character's leather bustier and her arms and legs were swaddled in translucent ebony black silks. Her limbs were covered in cheap plastic bangles, a number of necklaces all purchased from Claire's or the Salvation Army.

Her most recent addition, added in only the last few days, was a plastic dagger, the tip cut off and glued so that it appeared buried in her forehead. She had accompanied that with mottled grey paint for her skin and a pair of rheumy contact lenses giving her the pallor and appearance of a corpse.

Sarah blushed as the boys ogled her, whispering to one another. Her cheeks grew red on her pale skin as a group of boys passed her by, tilting their heads to follow her. She turned away from them so they wouldn't see, moving quietly across the red carpet stretching between the exhibits. bare feet making not a sound. She had to admit, as embarrassed as she was, she was liking the attention.

It was then, while walking backwards, her attention fixed upon the boys, she collided with another young woman. Surprised she gave a small squeal and tumbled to the floor.

"Uggh." Mari grumbled as she stared back at herself from the long and tall bathroom mirror in the women's bathroom of the convention. She had had too much to eat from all of the food she had brought just in case she was hungry, and she accidentally put too much in her bag. The teen thought it was a waste if she had to bring so much food to the convention, only to then bring it back to the hotel. Besides, she really loved eating food. Sadly, at that moment, she felt like her stomach was going to explode. "I am never...," she groaned out, releasing a light burp to get rid of the gas that was rising up from her stomach. "eating food... ever again."

"Why did I pick this as my costume? It feels so tight now that my tummy's all distended." This was actually her first time to cosplay at a convention, and for her first costume to make, she chose to cosplay as Princess Zelda from the most recent, non-canon game, Hyrule Warriors. The main reason why she chose Zelda was because she was her favorite character to play as in the hack and slash game; next to Sheik, of course. She had bought a wig and everything for the cosplay, and even worked hard to get it to look like her actual design.

As she continued to stare at herself, she felt something vibrating on her. 'Is that my stomach?,' she thought to herself silently. When it continued, she felt around the shorts she wore under the skirt of her dress and realized it was her phone that was shaking back and forth. Face palming, she chastised herself, "You're such a moron." Pulling the device from her shorts pocket, she looked at the screen to see that it was Julie who was calling. A smile popped up on her face and she swiped at her phone to answer the call. Putting it against her ear, she cheerfully greeted her friend. "Yo!"

Jason stood nearby the girl cosplay in as Bayonetta as she ran into some other guy. Literally ran into him. With that the boy approached the two to see if they were okay. It looked like a really hard hit to be honest. "Hey, are you two okay?" He asked. Dropping the imitation of Gaara's voice he had been using all day. The boy was sure to check that his gourd wasn't about to slam into anybody and knock them out

"Whoa!" Julie said as soon as she bumped into someone...or some people, she wasn't paying attention that well but it was safe to assume that she kinda walked into a group of people. At that time, she lost her grip of her bag and dropped it, dropping majority of her stuff that she happened to get during this convention. In that surprise, she saw few others near her. "I'm okay...just wasn't paying attention," she said, scratching the back of her head, bending down to pick up her things while using her other hand to hold her phone to her ear. It was also around that time that Mari had finally responded to her call.

"Oh...hey Mari, what's going on with you?" Julie answered the call, all the while she was getting her stuff all together.

Sarah shook her head gently, shaking off the tumble. The action felt strange with the plastic dagger sticking out of her forehead. She was about to apologize when the other girl abruptly informed her, and anyone about, that she was okay and that she was being deliberately careless. Well, maybe not deliberately but she certainly didn't seem to be apologizing. She was about to say exactly that as she clamored up onto her knees and abruptly found herself staring down the girl's bare back, a long line of pale skin that went right down to the tip of the crack of her buttocks.

"I... uh... well, you could say that..." Sarah said a little sheepishly and then stopped suddenly in mid-sentence, saving herself the embarrassment of her pathetic, passive aggressive confrontation. What stopped her, however, was that the girl had just started to talk on the phone... completely ignoring that she'd almost run Sarah down.

"Oh... I see..." Sarah said, looking down.

Not only does my boyfriend ditch me, she thought to herself, even the person that knocks me down decides to ignore me. What a horrible way to end the first day.

Picking up her own belongings Sarah finally got a glimpse of the costume. Bayonetta. Sarah recognized the character even if she hadn't played the game. She'd always thought that Bayonetta needed to have her hair tied into a hangman's noose. That would have been more fitting.

At least the skinny guy with the- Sarah paused. Gaara. She recognized that guy from Naruto. At least he was asking if she was okay. He seemed like a nice enough guy- unlike this skank.

"I uh, think you dropped one of your guns," Sarah said sheepishly, helping the girl collect her things despite everything else.

It was another sweet day of cosplay, and Tyler had gotten a whole bag of goodies, both that he bought and traded with people. His Proto Man costume had gotten the attention of many other fellow Mega Man fans, and they traded around some items. For 20 Mega Man comics He got an original copy of the first Mega Man game in prime condition, score! Now he had all the NES Mega Mans. He would be sure to share some of his loot with Alex when he got home.

But it had been a long day, and with a smile he looked around to pick out that characters he recognized. He saw a guy in a sweet Ratchet costume, it even had Clank on the back, and his eyes glowed due to lights in them. He also saw many others, Zelda, Gaara, Bayonetta, two guys as Sonic and Tails, and many others. This had been one awesome day.

For fun, he started to whistle Proto Man's song as he leaned against a pillar. His voice almost matched the Proto Man from the old 90s cartoon, so it was easy to make an impression of Proto Man's voice. Even without his best friend, he enjoyed this day.

Richard checked the clock on the nearby wall as he packed up his imperial guard army. For most of the day he was in a 40k tournament for most of the day and did modernly well losing to a Black templar player and an Ork player. Placing the last couple of models in there carrying box he retrieve his jacket and his bag of goodies of video games and comics he had gotten through the day. He deiced to hang out at the convention for a couple of minutes before he was kicked out.

"Welp, I'm pretty much close to throwing up everything I've eaten for the past week or so," Mari responded matter-of-factly. "But, I think... I'll be fine."

She held on to the handles of the bag she brought for the convention and lifted it up to slip it around her arm and place it on her right shoulder. Giving out a huff, she walked towards the door of the restroom.

"How about you? Where are you? What are you up to? Maybe we can meet up or something!" the female questioned her friend excitedly. Once exiting the facilities, she began to head down the halls of the con.

Mari was a dork, and she couldn't help it. She skipped happily while on the phone, waiting for Julie's response.

It had been a long day, but it was worth it. Celeste managed to pick up many gaps within her many collections, several new games, as well as various types of merchandise, official and fan made. Honestly, everything she bought today was more than the average's person collection, but it was nothing to her. Spending money was one of her joys in life, so at least she managed to spend money towards something she would actually enjoy. Two fun things for the price of one. Behind Celeste were several men in suits carrying everything for her, as there was no way for anyone to carry that much.

Celeste walked into the large hallway, glancing around to find an isolated place for her to sit and wait for her ride. She saw a Bayonetta, Proto Man, Garaa, The Doctor, as well as someone who looked like a sorceress, but she couldn't identify from where. Sadly, she didn't care about any of the series the other 4 came from, so she saw no need to converse with them.

Celeste quietly walked over to her isolate part of the hallway, and hoped nobody noticed her. Sadly, she had several men in suits carrying bags upon bags of merchandise, so everybody was likely to notice her.

Being Celeste is suffering.

Looks like things would be a bit awkward in the long run, given that it was like Julie was juggling the task of talking on the phone, getting her stuff together, and apparently getting the attention of the other cosplayers near her. Finally taking full notice of the cosplayers near her, Julie used her shoulder to hold her cell phone up to her ear as she saw that someone had gotten one of her replica guns for her. Despite it being bought and not made herself, Julie really did take a shine for the Love is Blue replicas. While listening to her friend on the phone, Julie happened to mouth "thanks" as she finished getting her things together, as well as getting her gun replica back. In all honesty, Julie was a bit awkward when it came to this cosplay, since it was suggestive in itself, but she didn't want to make it such a big deal and she did her best to not go out of her "casual" self.

"I'm like in the convention lobby, just getting ready to head out. Are you free for a few games? I'm pretty sure we're at the same hotel, it's nearby here, I mean...if it's fine with you," Julie responded to her friend on the phone, taking another moment to readjust the blueberry lollipop in her mouth. As she was on the phone, she did spot someone else that was ready to leave, and boy did that girl have a lot of suited men with her. Talk about VIP treatment...

David said "Well I guess it was nice meeting you all.." He shrugged and looked at the Garra and Proto Man guys. "Nice cosplays guys....hey where did you get the gord?" He asked smiling. David fixed his fez again and put the sonic Screwdriver in his jacket pocket. "So what are your guys names? Im David...but roday..Im the Doctor." He said with a smile

Sarah looked at that gourd. It was rather large to be certain. This caused her to think. Gourd's were a classification of plant used by ancient societies for all manner of uses. Their hard rinds made for excellent containers and included everything from waterskins to wax for candles. If she remembered correctly the Japanese preferred to put their sake in such containers.

"There's no way that's a real gourd," Sarah said bluntly, without realizing what she was saying could be construed as offensive, "They simply don't grow that big, not in real life. It's gotta be paper mache or som-"

Blushing, her cheeks reddening beneath the corpse-like pallor, she quickly rose and adjusted first the golden wig that covered her brown hair and then checked the plastic dagger glued to her forehead. She turned and met the eyes of the lad dressed as Matt Smith's doctor.

"Errr... I'm Sarah by the way," she greeted the one calling himself David who she instantly recognized as the Doctor without needing be told. She made eye contact with him, her rheumy contacts obscuring her eyes, "but today... err.. apparently I'm a dead sorceress wench."

"I'm near there," the teen exclaimed giddily. "I'll be heading there right now!" She then started for the lobby at full speed, her feet were clicking against the floor as she ran to meet with Julie.

Moments later, she made it to the lobby and looked around for her friend in a Bayonetta costume. It took her a few more minutes to find her. When she found her, she noticed that there were many other cosplayers around her. Maybe this was the time for her to make some new friends who probably had the same interests as her. Putting a grin on her face, the female began to head towards her.

"Julieee~!," she called at the cosplayer who was eating a lolipop. "I foooound youuu!" Hopefully she wouldn't trip or anything, because it'd be embarrassing.

After a few moments of silence, her friend that was dressed up as Zelda was headed towards her. Well, she expected Mari to be quite energetic here...despite possibly having an upset stomach earlier. Knowing her, Mari would like to meet others that were around, she knew her friend very well. Seeing no reason to, she put her phone away as her friend was charging in.

"MarMar!" Julie couldn't help but say her friend's nickname,"And as you can see...there's a lot of people here~"

"That's also a nice costume, Doctor. I'm Tyler, but today I'm Proto Man. I made my costume myself, using a hefty amount of raw materials." Tyler said happily, using his Proto Man impression. He quite liked his costume, as well as the others. He had carved his costume to match Proto Man perfectly and to fit him, it was another masterpiece of his engineering. He even had the shield on his back, and he could remove it and hold it like he was in combat.

David smiled and said "Sweet...all this stuff, I bought. My sister made the jacket." He smiles at them and then said "So did you guys get any games? I brought my Smash 3DS and Pokemon X. I also had a chance to get some sweet movies, and comics." David then said "Want to hang out at a cafe or a diner? Maybe be in character while we eat?"

Cameron stood in front of a small group of con-goers. He did his usual "cat-pose", his hands brought to his face, pretending they were paws. Giving them a smile, he felt proud of his cosplay. It hadn't garnered as much attention as others, mainly because the character wasn't well known, but he was at least asked by a few people to have his picture taken. Afterwards, he would often get questions about his character and where he was from, to which he gladly gave them answers in hopes that they would enjoy the anime.

Seeing that it was getting late, Cameron thanked the group and grabbed his bag. He only bought a few things - some artwork from the artist booths, a few keychains, nothing too big. Without a job, he was only allowed to spend whatever money his sister gave him. Exhausted from the long day, he trudged over to a hallway with a few people who looked like they were just about finished for the night. His eyes glanced around, looking for an empty seat to rest before heading up to his hotel room. He saw cosplayers and non-cosplayers alike, mingling among themselves.

His attention, however, ventured off his search for someplace to sit and onto a lady surrounded by seemingly intimidating men carrying bags. With his interest piqued, Cameron lit up and ran over to them. On his way, he fumbled around his bag for his digital camera, hoping to get a last-minute picture. "Hello, excuse me! Can I get a picture?" he smiled, his panda hat slipping off his head to reveal his lavender wig.

Richard was on his way out when he notice several people nearby dressed as different charter form different media sources. He notice that two people dressed as protoman and the 11th doctor. "Sorry to interrupt you guys but your costumes are cool," he said as the walked up to them.
