Life is full of stress, education, family, work, death, love, friendships. The amount of it we encounter everyday is torturous, and it's terrifying at the end of a day to know that there is only more to come in the next. It's suggested that teenagers suffer from it worse than people of older ages, because of the complicated and various hormones interfering with their minds and bodies, and it's also said that too much stress is devastating for your own health. That worries you.

So teenagers that are nearing the end of their educational experience in high school were approached with an idea. A relaxing, and enjoyable experience in the second largest city in Brazil, Rio. Where partying and adventure are the two biggest hobbies that people have. And it just so happens that you've been invited also, and you're most certainly going. Will your current friendships evolve into better things, or will you develop new ones, or both? Will your experience in Brazil end elegantly and beautifully, or will it end in catastrophe? Are you arriving with friends or completely alone? You've come to Brazil hoping to get away from "Stress", but I'm afraid to say that it's only going to get worse.



Okay! I'm going to briefly summarize what I've written in case it makes little to no sense:

We're all going on Holiday to Brazil for a good few weeks or months, as a "stress-relief" from a company.

Anything can happen really, I'm open-minded (as long as it's realistic, we're not all suddenly turning into wizards unless I see it as appropriate! :P) and you can go wild on your character and decide what's going to happen next if it's reasonable.

Rules:

1. I'm not massively strict on how much you need to write, but the opening post being quite detailed would be nice, and at least one paragraph per post would be suggested. However, don't think this means that you can't write a lot! Write as much as you want.

2. Like I said just before the rules, don't be absurd. We're teenagers, and we're wanting to have fun. Stay realistic.

3. Anything 18+ can go to PMs, I'm not bothered by it - but others probably are.

4. Inactivity's fine, just try and notify me that there's going to be some. I understand if after your inactivity you explain why you couldn't, just I'm sure everyone would like to know why the roleplay's slowing down in pace.

5. Have fun!!

I'm sure you were expecting me to have a lot more rules, but I have the IQ of a jellyfish and can't remember some things - but basically most of my rules are what you'd expect in any roleplay. Just be sensible, please. :)

Basically, to make sure interaction happens between one another I'm going to have a number of rooms (I won't limit the amount, in case more people want to join), which will probably occupy no more than 3 people. I also wouldn't class them as rooms as we're in a hotel, so you'll have separate bedrooms (if you want to) but you'll still have to tolerate each other when not sleeping!

She is fascinated by astrology and fortune telling and what not, and enjoys history more than any other subject in school, besides art. She hopes to go to an art college and be a famous painter one day, in between her time as a ghost hunter. A lot of people think she’s weird and an airhead, but she’s not dumb, making A’s and B’s. She is also particularly clumsy, and horrible at sports. History: Hailey lives on a farm with her mother and father. Her mother is a stay at home mom to her many siblings (all younger than Hailey) and her father is a farmer. Hailey grew up rather poor, but never minded. She also helped where she could on the farm though her father never let her much. Her fathers crops were the ones Rick ran through when he was drunk driving. Hailey's dad was always a forgiving man who believed in the common man over the government, so he let the boy go with the promise he'd pay for his mistake and fix the fence. Hailey recognized Rick from school, though she was pretty sure she was invisible to him. While he was working, she did go outside and talk to him about school and life, bring him lemonade and compliment his work on the fence. She was the one who invited him to the Brazil trip anyway, figuring he needed the vacation too after all he'd been through so far. She definitely has a crush on him, but she isn't the type to make any first moves.

He isn't rude to people who don't play sports, but connects easier with those that do. He hopes to get a scholarship to play sports in college. Rick is above average as far as intelliegence goes, but doesn't work hard in class leaing many who don't know him to assume he isn't very intelligent. Rick struggles with self-esteem and is not self-confident at all. He is not a leader.
History: Rick used to be the jock nobody liked. Playboy, jerk, and trouble maker. After a near death experience with drunk driving where he drove off the rode into a farm field. No police report was filed, but he had to repair the fence and pay for damages to to the crops he ran over. After this, Rick settled down developed a healthy sense of fear of drinking and how any trouble with the law might affect his hopes of collegiate sports. Rick also realized his treatment of women was less than spectacular and his treatment of any non-athlete was worse. Due to this realization, Rick thinks nobody likes him because they still see him as who he was and not who is trying to be.

The Blacklist where he writes down the sins and dirty deeds of people on campus, he has been shut down by school staff many times but the student body likes reading it and has it brought back every time even if it goes underground or off the grid, But do to his unsavory methods and the fact nobody is safe he has no friends and nobody likes him much so he sticks to himself and his writing. Personality: Eve is the direct result of what happens when an already lazy and introspective person takes a philosophy class too seriously. An exposure to, and appreciation of Nihilism, Epicureanism, and Hedonism have greatly influenced Eve's outlook and approach to life. Her priorities have changed from those of the average late high schooler, to those concerning her own pleasure in the now. This, and her general apathy toward institutions she doesn't see as providing pleasure, led to her inevitable dropping out of school. While not particularly inspired to preform well in school, she does have several interests, including music and film, and she is a gifted conversationalist. Despite being a 'Burnout' Eve is able to discuss most anything with an intellectual fervor, ranging from world history and politics, to cartoons and which drugs go best with them.

She has a chill and laid back aura about her that seems so thick that at times her mere presence can slow down a room; while her capricious and unpredictable attitude can speed it right back up. In short, Eve is something of a cross between a beatnik, a stoner, and a hippie. Not quite a "rebel without a cause," in that she is aware of plenty of causes, she's simply too lazy and generally uninspired to do something to enact serious change.

History: Born to a French-Cuban mother and Spanish father, Eve is actually a native of the Catalonia region of Spain. She was born out of wed-lock and spent the majority of her young life not knowing what the concept of father even meant, or that she even had one. Her mother was of little means, but did all she could to provide Eve with a healthy, carefree and loving environment, greatly influencing the person Eve would become. She had no real permanence present in her life beside her mother, and as such, the two became inseparably close, as her mother went from city to city, from job to job, Eve followed going from school to school, never staying a particular location much longer than a year.

Evelyn had been old enough (at the age of 14) to know that her mother had been using online dating to substitute for her lack of a real love life, so when she received the news that they would be going to the United States to stay with the boyfriend her mother had met online she wasn't very surprised. She was surprised, however, when 3 months later they announced their marriage plans. It wasn't the change of countries that surprised her, it was the introduction of two male figures in her life, a brother and father. These changes, her general attitude, and the shift from Spanish education to American could all be considered the reason that, three years later, at the age of 17, she dropped out of High School and went the route of GED (which took her a year to get). She has a perfect relationship with her mother, is on god terms with her step-father and considers her step brother her best friend. While currently enrolled in a shitty community college, she wasn't supposed to be able to go on this trip-- it was intended as a reward for her step-brother-- but through lies told to her parents and an illicitly obtained buddy pass, she finds herself going anyway.

Personality: David is a passive and quiet individual, although capable of shedding these traits around someone he is comfortable with, his snarky outlooks generally push people away. As a result, he suffers from an extreme lack of self-confidence, has a very low opinion of himself, and generally does whatever is asked of him. His day-to-day personality is meek, insecure, and indecisive, shaped by his constant fear of being hurt by his relationships with others. Although this is the only way he can cope when dealing with people, it hinders his interactions with his family and and his schoolmates. With loneliness, comes an appreciation of introspection and activities that don't require company. David, as a result is extremely studious and well-read, even graduating a year early, although he is very socially maladjusted.

History: David's turn to mental and social isolationism began with the death of his mother at the tender age of 7. While he wasn't present for the car accident that put her into critical condition, he was by her bedside for the moment of her death, with the mere image of her on her deathbed being a regularly occurring nightmare for him. After her death, his father, already something of a drinker, retreated into full alcoholism for a number of years, getting so bad at one point that David needed to be placed under the care of his Grandmother while his father attended a full rehabilitation program. During this time, David found himself retreating into schoolwork, studying and fictional mediums of entertainment.

David, at the age of 9, legally adopted his mother's last name.

When he was 10 he was returned to life with his father, and while both were resigned around each other, there was a mutual love. It wasn't until he was 12, however, when he first showed signs of breaking out of might very well have been a clinical depression. His step-mother gave him a mother figure he could bond with, and Eve, his step-sister, a person who he could call a friend and protector, even. His already phenomenal performance has increased, to the point he was able to graduate a year early, this trip to Rio is his reward for that accomplishment.

Personality: A bright and cheerful personality, Jenny is nothing other than enjoyable to be around. Jenny can be described as "optimistic" often looking at the better end of troubles, she makes it a point in her life to pursue happiness in the best way possible. She takes pride and joy in making other people laugh and smiles and is one of the reasons she's opened up her YouTube channel. Despite her bright and cheery self, Jenny is also fairly intelligent and very hardworking and when she puts her mind into something she will do all it takes to reach her goals and aspirations. She can be at times a bit of a smarty pants and is really unafraid to say the first thing that pops in her mind which is why some people can also be pretty repelled by her straightforward personality. But it never really is her intention to hurt, only really, as she likes to put it, "to educate what they might not know." Now although that might sound snarky, if you tell her that you've been offended she isn't on too high of a pedestal to apologize and make up for her words. Her intentions are normally good, just that sometimes her actions aren't the most well-put because of her hyperactivity and straightforwardness.

Jenny is also very organized and is just ever so close to being classified as a nerd. She loves the smell of old books and neatly hoards a bunch of stationary and writing utensils in and throughout her room and can never leave the house without some sort of reading material (whether it be a physical copy or her Kindle) and a notebook and pen. She wears glasses but as of recently has been trying to get into the habit of wearing contacts, especially since her brother and her are going to be on a sort of vacation, that thankfully both her parents agreed to, as long as she kept her brother in line.

History: Jenny was born to a young Korean couple in some town somewhere in California. Sadly, she had to be given up for adoption due to the young couple being unable to support a child and therefore was adopted into the Miller family at the age of 3. She didn't remember much of her biological parents other than very blurry memories of being held by what she believes to be her mother. After getting adopted by the Miller family, Jenny lived a fairly normal life although the only thing that hadn't been "normal" was the fact that she was also learning Korean alongside English and every two years her family would take a trip to Korea for the summer so that she can get "accustomed" to the culture. Her family would also take her to her supposed aunt who would help her with her Korean so as to completely immerse her in what was supposed to be her native culture. By the time she was 10 she was able to speak fluent Korean and English.

She had been 13 when Jenny first discovered her love for makeup and fashion. What was funny was though, it hadn't been through a "tween magazine" that a number of girls her age read. No. It had been the moment she had begun watching a Korean drama and had seen the dress the lead actress was wearing. She had fallen in love with the silhouette and the way it accentuated her body type and just everything from the color to the length and even to the makeup was absolutely on spot. From then on she did her research. Looking through high-fashion magazines and watching a number of tutorials on YouTube when it was getting off the ground. She started her fashion blog and YouTube at the age of 17, after having built up her wardrobe and finally getting her sense of style and what does and doesn't work for the female.

Today, Jenny is an avid fashion blogger and YouTuber, posting videos of makeup tutorials and Outfit of the Day almost every week on YouTube and her blog. She hopes to open up her own business one day, putting smiles on the faces of women through her fashion and makeup.

Personality: Rich, like his sister, is just as or even more than fun and exciting. Where do you think Jen got all her fun from? Despite the vast differences in looks and age, it was as if Jen and Rich had been twins in any of their past lives. You could say that Rich has a serious infatuation with his sister, from the moment he first saw her cry because of a bully, he knew that it was his job to love, care, and protect her from anything that could hurt her and he would gladly jump in front of a bullet for her.

Rich has a very fun personality and has incredible charisma, in highschool he was like what one would expect of an attractive male like him to be. He played sports, he hung out with everyone and was homecoming king. But he didn't let all that get to his head, his sister being his anchor from when he begun to act as if the world was revolved around him. She would immediately help him rationalize himself and return to being the Richard that everyone knew and loved. Despite being what one would describe to be a "jock," Rich was actually the biggest history geek around, and his sister was merciless when it came to teasing him about it, not only that but he was also just as much of a smarty pants like his sister, being the salutatorian of his graduating class. His sister says that he could have been the valedictorian if only he wasn't so unorganized when it came to his work and would stop losing all his homework.

It is no surprise though that Rich and Jen are pretty alike in more ways than one, that one being his overall sloppiness. Often times you could hear Jen scolding him for having his room in a mess or when he would lose something amongst the piles of laundry that were scattered around his room. But even then, he and his sister are the closest they could ever be. But of course, siblings do have their fights...

History: Before Jenny came into the picture, Rich had actually had another younger sister before her but sadly he had never really gotten to meet her due to his younger sister, Gina, dying only minutes after emerging from his mother's womb. He was only 2 when this happened therefore he had no recollection of almost having had another sister. Two years later after his parents have moved on, they had decided on adopting a daughter and thus Jenny was introduced into the family. From then on it's the same story goes with Rich and his sister, they both went to Korean school (because if his sister was going through it, then he should too), had family vacations to Korea every two years and now they can fluently hold conversations with each other in English and Korean. They would often mess around with their groups of friends by speaking Korean and making it seem as if something was wrong.

Because of their close age difference Rich and Jenny were practically inseparable and even when they were younger they insisted on sharing the same room (to which they both shy away from when their parents mention it). In high school both of them were pretty popular, both being incredibly friendly and just being overall charismatic. When he was 17 he was scouted to become a teenage model for a magazine after getting scouted by an agent. He was reluctant to agree but his sister insisted on him agreeing due to her infatuation and love for fashion. So of course, being the good big brother he was, agreed and even let her sit in while he did the shoot. After that first shoot he had immediately gotten more offers to do and after that was pretty much history. Today, Rich is a rising star in the modelling world although he's taking a brief hiatus from all the fancy shoots and runways for a much needed vacation with his sister. He's also in university studying to become a businessman, hey, he couldn't be a model forever anyway.

Her main outlet is art, being one of the prized students for art at her school; she's quite an avant garde. Most people that know Anna enjoy her presence, she's confident and approachable. However, her humor is mainly focused on sarcasm; and that becomes quite prominent once someone gets to know her. Her sarcasm is never meant to upset, or offend; but Anna has a way of using sarcasm in most of her conversations. She's also very loud on her opinions on people even if it's negative. Although her confidence covers her insecurities and paranoia, Anna is never very good at keeping her mouth shut at times. If she dislikes you, you'll most definitely know. Anna isn't always fun and games either, she can be known to worry far too much and is very definitely vulnerable to the effects of stress and pressure. Aaron is this person who likes to be himself, most say he is this 'diverse' person who always changes how he feels about things. Right or wrong, yes or no, he seems to be very hot and cold. He is usually described as this weird guy who likes to laugh at some wrong points in scenes or talk about some abnormal shit that people usually don't here when there alive. Around people Aaron tends to be shy, though not that shy..he just doesn't seem to be that kind of person who doesn't directly like to talk to someone. Aaron is slightly scared of people..hes usually on tumblr posting pictures of 'hot', 'sexy', strangers that walk by he usually doesn't get caught..but most people usually ignore him. He is very hooked on this inter-webs and that's the only place were he can be this pedobear person who annoys tons of people!

The pale skin of her back has been elaborately inked with the solid lines of a tattoo depicting a grotesque scene of demons and the Devil himself.

Personality: Yolanda is a sly woman. Conniving and secretive, it's often difficult to tell what she is about to do. Despite this, however, she is loyal to those she feels are deserving. Once her loyalty has been secured, she is protective and fierce. Yolanda has a tendency to be sarcastic, dryly humorous and cynical but has the capacity to be kind and tender. Able to be extremely persuasive when need be. She has a touch of nihilsm to her.

Yolanda likes to keep her emotions in check but sometimes loses control. When angered or frightened, she lashes out at any who surround; whether it be friends, family or strangers. She often enters a period of regret after these episodes, though the level of regret is relative to how firmly she believes her anger or fear was justified.
