Personality: Kami (meaning 'God') is often shy, introverted and quiet -- despite his need and want for social interaction he is simply too nervous to say much, so he usually ends up stuttering and saying things that are somewhat nonsensical. He's calm in social situations, but his mind goes crazy -- thinking of what to say, how to stand on his feet, what to do with his hands. Stuff like that makes him go crazy and he thinks it reflects on himself -- in reality it's hardly sightable. In battle he is very supportive and self sacrificial, using his puppets as a shield sometimes to take hits that normally the students/teammates would be hit with.

History: Kami was born to a puppet-maker, although it was only in the sense that they were toys. His mother had a different profession, making chakra thread for usage in the village. When Kami enrolled into the academy, it was quickly found he was mostly useless in almost all fields -- taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu, weapons -- he had no real talent for the conventionally tested things. The talks about maybe giving him a second chance in normal education had just begun when he brought a puppet to school to show his class what he could do. Despite his anti-social personality and nervousness, he managed to get in front of the class, and attach a bunch of chakra threads to the puppet he had brought.

The tutor seemed to be the only one realizing what was going on, but the kids looked at him with much attention to what he was doing despite not getting what he was doing. But once he was done attaching them -- not realizing how to do it conventionally like most puppeteers -- he lifted his hands and controlled the puppet with utmost skill, making him move at first, lower and raise it's arms, look around the class. Then, he opened the puppets mouth and almost shot a spread-shot of senbon into the class. He'd have hurt a lot of kids if the tutor didn't intervene, but everyone recognised his skill.

From that day on he was exempted from most classes except for taijutsu which he slowly improved, but not quite good enough. His puppeteering skills however grew to almost masterful levels. This lead to him graduating at the age of 10, becoming chunnin at the age of 12, and being a jonin at the age of 13. He was quite renowned in the village, since he was one of thé youngest jonins of that time. Still, most of the young genins know his name, as he is of the same generation. Matter of fact, he's likely the youngest jonin in the village right now. Ever since his action in the war against Kirigakure however, he's been made a Granite Guard, serving the village to the best of his abilities.

Dreams and aspirations: To be more sociable is what it comes down to. Besides that he seems to be really indifferent about what is going on around him.

General strengths: Puppeteering is his forté. For that reason he plays the supporting role very well. He can also jump away from attacks pretty well -- so in a way agility is also his strength.

General weaknesses: Everything else. Ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, swords, whatever you can name -- he's not overly good at it.

1x Summoning Scroll (for Sebaru Markor).

Name: Sebaru Markor.
Description: Sebaru Markor is the only remaining puppet that Kami has, as the others he had got destroyed over the course of several missions and he hasn't had the time to create new ones (the process is, actually, quite time consuming). It's constructed after the likeness of Sebaru Markor himself, the Tsuchikage. Due to this, the powers of the Tsuchikage have been mimicked in it's creation -- for instance, powerful shock generators built into his body mimick the Tsuchikage's kekkei genkai.

These shock generators can cause shockwaves throughout the puppets body, allowing it to be used to enhance the puppets taijutsu. While this puppet isn't quite at the powerlevel of the Tsuchikage, the shock generators are extremely powerful in comparison to normal taijutsu -- they can easily shatter a bone in two or three hits. However, the shock generators consume a lot of energy so they are only used as a last resort.

It also has two seperate containers of earth and water in it's body, each storing easily 10 liters of each. They have two tubes on top, which then join into 1 tube leading up to the mouth -- resulting in the mixing of the earth and water resulting in mud. It can spew the mud from it's mouth to encase targets in it, to form protective walls quickly or to use as projectiles from a far.

Aside from that they have a standard armament of..
1x Senbon launcher in the right arm, with a storage department behind the launcher itself which can hold aproximately 200 senbon -- Due to the time and energy intensivity of the act, these are not poisoned. The launcher can launch 10 senbon at once, at a very rapid pace allowing it to surpress a target rather efficiently.
1x Explosive tag spreader -- this machine in the left arm can spread explosive tags quickly and efficiently, allowing Kami to place over 50 explosive tags in a radius in front of the puppet. While effective for rapid clearing of an area, forcing enemies to move back or to block sight of the other side of the resulting smoke, the killing power of this machine isn't very high.
2x Seismic Generators in it's feet -- mimicking the Tsuchikages kekkei genkai, these generators are less power consuming than the ones all over it's body. They can be used for creating small 'earthquakes' around him in a 10m. radius. Likely to cause some damage, as the earthquake can be quite destructive. Friendly fire is very possible with these.

Kariru Tsuyo

History with Kariru Tsuyo

Since his early graduation from the academy, aged 10, Kami has been under the leadership of Kariru Tsuyo, whom acted as a squad leader for Kami's squad. Despite his young age, he tried his best to show Kariru what he could do -- granted, he was a prodigy at puppeteering. It seemed to have worked as she allowed him to enter into the internal chunnin exams at the age of 12, barely one and a half years later. Coincidentally, this happened to be a week after his birthday, so it appeared to be 'a belated birthday present'. Many of the other jonin critized her choice to let a young boy like Kami participate -- prodigy or not.

But against all expectations he actually beat his opponents, using an effective range of puppets. He earned the title of Chunnin, but kept his sensei as he was allowed to stay with Kariru all the way through the next year, until more or les a year later, when he was 13, he became a jonin and a member of the Granite Guard.

Ever since then, the 'friendship' between Kariru and Tsuyo has been strained, as they mostly seem to meet at the Granite Guard meetings nowadays, as either of them is mostly away on missions without time for socializing. However, it seems that the odd times that they do meet they get along perfecly well, since Kariru is naturally sociable when she's drunk, and Kami is naturally quiet, listening to Kariru's ramblings while he simply works on some blueprints for a new type of puppet, eats some ramen or does other stuff.

Opinion on Kariru Tsuyo

Kami highly values the friendship between the two of them, as he seems to be quite lonely from time to time due to his anti-social tendencies. The fact that Kariru likes to ramble when she's drunk (which is always) and is highly sociable relieves him from the pressure of having to talk, instead opting to be 'a great listener' according to Kariru.

To Kami, the friendship that these two share is his only real friendship, as most of the others just share a colleague-esque relationship where as Kariru and Kami could be seen as real friends despite the huge differences between the two -- both in history, personality and appearance.
He doesn't feel any particular way about her alcohol abuse -- it seems to be a neccesary evil because she's not particularily enjoyable when she's not intoxicated, and besides Kami isn't very judgemental about anyone so he doesn't particularily care about her drunkenness.

Ayumi Hozuki

Some time ago Kami spent about 3 months in Ayumi's class during a brief period in between the time it took to skip a class. He and her didn't mingle much because he was just there for a brief time, but Kami assured that he took notice of her powers. She seemed to be able to use the trademark Hozuki hydrofication technique, and impressed Kami greatly with it. They didn't get much time to get acquainted and most of the class had barely even noticed that Kami was there, so he wouldn't be surprised if she had forgotten already.

But now she is in his team and this makes him quite nervous. Recently they've embarked on their first mission and encountered some enemy shinobi.

Opinion on Ayumi Hozuki

Kami thinks that Ayumi's skills are pretty good -- so therefore he has nothing but respect for her despite his awkwardness making this less than obvious. That said he thinks she is highly likeable and would make a good Granite Guard as long as she keeps working hard. He thinks this is her best quality -- always working hard. He doesn't understand her home situation yet but he believes her father might be uncaring or that he doesn't care about Ayumi what so ever, however this remains to be proven.

History with Kyou Hasegawa

Kyou has spent some time with Kami in her class, as he was there for about a year. They never really interacted -- Kami's awkwardness made it somewhat impossible to approach him without him fainting or stuttering until he was not understandable. However, Kami never really knew about Kyou in any other sense than her trouble-making, loud mouthed appearance. He can't remember her talking nicely to him ever, but then again he doesn't really remember talking to anyone back then.

Some time has now passed and apart from the occasional meeting in her father's shop, which was always somewhat awkward, they didn't meet up much. But recently the Tsuchikage has seen fit to give Kami a team consisting of her and another girl -- Kami is unsure if the Tsuchikage is trying to spite him or to make him nervous -- and they've gone on a mission, in which they encountered some enemy shinobi.

Kami thinks of Kyou as a loud-mouthed girl who has nothing better to do than yell at people. But he also recognises that the girl might be doing this for reasons unknown, and that she probably has a big heart somewhere. Regardless, he seems to find her rather obnoxious when she is yelling, but is probably too afraid to voice this. He thinks she could be a good Granite Guard, if she learns to control herself more and starts understanding that the enemy is the other villages, and not her teammates so that she shouldn't yell at them.

Personality: Hagashi, Reiji is a quiet but intelligent teenager. He's not anti-social or anything like that, he just doesn't feel the need to speak just to hear himself talk. Reiji doesn't flaunt his intellect and let's people believe he isn't very smart. He does this because all people see him as is the son of his parents. Rei also doesn't rub the fact that he is royalty into people's faces. He isn't conceited or self absorbed. Reiji is actually quite kind and believes that compassion is the way to friendship. Although obtaining friends can be a challenge for him, because most people confuse silence for dislike. Rei is quite determined when it comes to finding his path as a ninja. He won't let anyone stray from his path or deter him from his training. Reiji has a little mysterious vibe coming from him, like he knows more than you think he does. That's probably just because he is so smart but doesn't show it. His academy scores set him right in the middle, although he probably could have been the smartest in the class if he wanted to. The only people who know of his true intelligence are his parents.

History: Hagashi, Reiji was raised under the highest nobles of the Hagashi clan. His father Daisuke, and his mother, Ayame, treated him with kindness and love. Knowing their son would be the heir of the clan, they didn’t pamper him and instead prepared him. At age eight his father began to train him to be a shinobi. The early training gave him an edge during his academy days. Paired with his high intelligence, he excelled easily. Well, he could have excelled easily, because he never let anyone see how smart he truly was. Reiji made himself seem like an average student, right in the middle of being intelligent and dumb. The young prince was very attached to his father, who taught him everything he needed to know. Reiji never lived selfishly or acted like a brat. Reiji learned about his kekkei genkei from his father. All the techniques he knows are weaker versions of his father’s. The training was strenuous but the results were amazing. Although his career as a ninja is off to a good start, he was not good at one thing. Making friends always seemed to be a problem for him. Most people misunderstood him and thought that he was anti-social, but really he’s not. He just chooses to not talk every five seconds, but if he does talk then it’s probably straight to the point. Reiji hopes that one day he will take his father place and become the leader of his clan, and a strong ninja. He will let nothing and no one stop him.

Clan: Hagashi Clan: The Hagashi is a well respected and feared clan. They are well known for their Kekkei Genkei, Beast Release. They train their clan members the second they are able to, and the training is hard. They focus on their Kekkei Genkei in training, and let the Academy do regular training. Most Higashi's have large chakara pools, and adequate chakara control. Reiji's parents are the high nobles of the clan, he is a prince of sorts.

Dreams and aspirations: Reiji wants to become a strong ninja and the leader of his clan. It his heir but f anyone challenges his right to rule he has to fight them and whoever wins gets the throne.

Kekkei Genkei: Beast Release: The Hagashi clan has a very unique Kekkei Genkei. Beast Release is a very diverse ability that has many techniques.

Description: Beast Release allows the user to utilize two types of Jutsu. The first kind allows the user to gain certain aspects of animals in order to enhance themselves physically (called Beast Imitation). The second and harder type to control and master allows the user to create animals out of chakara. If the user also has a chakara nature, the user can integrate the nature into the beast (Called Chakara Beast). When using Beast Imitation Jutsu's, the user uses the Serpent Hand Seal. When using Chakara Beast Jutsu's the user uses the Dog Hand Seal.

Description: Reiji activates the Jutsu and his speed and agility becomes enhanced. The more chakara he puts into it the faster he gets. Reiji uses this technique to buff his taijutsu, and it works splendidly.

Weakness: Because of how simple this technique is, there isn't really weakness. At the moment he can use the technique for a full minute, then he must wait until he has enough chakara to perform it again.

Description: This is Reiji's trump card, his father taught him the weaker version of it. Reiji's skin turns into red scales and his pupils then into slits and his irises turn green. This enhances his strength and endurance.

Weakness: Obviously the most prominent weakness is the large amount of chakara this takes to perform. Even with his large chakara pool Reiji can only use this technique once during a fight. The second limit is that he can only use the technique for 45 seconds. The final weakness is the chinks in his scales. While in this form, Reiji has a few chinks in his armor, and if something stabs through a chink, the whole Jutsu is cancelled. The chinks move every time he takes on this form.

Description: Reiji performs the hand seal and thrusts his hands towards his opponent. An eagle made of chakara shoots out and hurdles towards his opponent. He can control it because it is made of chakara. He can use it in one big hit, or he can split it into tinier birds and pepper his opponent with blows.

Weakness: This technique is very hard to control, and it's major flaw is that it can be dodged.

Name: Windy Blade

Kind Of Jutsu: kenjutsu/ninjutsu

Description: Reiji channels wind chakra into his sword, Itami. The blade becomes encased in wind chakra and its sharpness increases tenfold. Because it is encased in wind chakra it can actually hit its target without touching it if the object is close enough. This technique takes little chakra to use, so Reiji uses it often.

Weakness: The technique can't hit anything past short range, even with the added range of the wind chakra.

Description: it is the sword in Reiji's picture. He extremely skilled with it and sees it as an extension of his body. The sword is able to retain his chakra without breaking. It was originally his father's but it was passed down to Reiji.

Known history and secrets:

Personality: A spoiled brat is what she is, she's overly bossy toward anything and anyone that isn't her parents or the Tsuchikage, otherwise she recognizes no form of authority and complains about anything that doesn't please her. Because of her status, she doesn't hesitate to impose her will upon others and bully anyone she detects as weaker than her in terms of character. Ruri doesn't know when to end her vile shenanigans nor to shut up, proof of her inherited arrogance as a child of the aristocratic class of the village and overconfidence in her ability. One must not try to argue with her, as it would lead to her losing her temper extremely quickly for she is always right, and if she were to recognize she was wrong, she'd simply say she was right to be wrong. Scratch that, he temper is always short fused no matter what one does and she'll find a reason to bitch.

In a fight, she's particularly sadistic and cruel, tripled with her war monger attitude, she's a rather terrifying creature whenever she has the advantage in the playing field. She dislikes taking prisoners, and believes her opponents should at least be killed in the midst of battle like real fighters, thus she motivates her comrades to feed her desire for bloodshed. She isn't above hitting her comrades either, however she isn't dumb enough to claim such things and would only resort to this if she were in a very desperate situation. Nonetheless people are generally expendable in her eyes and she's the only one with true worth. One would think she's a borderline sociopath, but she lacks the desire to lie and doesn't have a significant level of intelligence either (Battle tactics however are things she's good at). She hates lies, and never resorts to them. She isn't a hypocrite either, she generally applies what she says just so she can feel superior to the peasants she's forced to be around with.

She isn't ashamed of using her feminine traits to get what she wants either, actually she'd pretty much do anything to get what she wants, even if it takes hurting others or manipulating. If the desire is strong enough, she would lie, however it would only be justified with how much value the certain thing would have for her. She tends to avoid it though, as she is a bad liar.

History Born in a rich family that goes under the name of Zuodian and is apparently associated to absolutely no clan at all yet still hold a lot of wealth and influence in certain parts of the young Iwagakure. Single daughter of parents who were involved in multiple doubtful businesses which helped expand some parts of the growing town. We could say the Zuodian were the people one would see if they were looking for a job without having to risk their lives in military-like duties, as they always had jobs in the building department and general maintenance. Ruri's dad was very strict about rules and doing the job right, but was rarely present in his daughter's life at all because of all the work his entrepreneur life demanded from him while her mother had always spoiled her on the father's behalf. Always getting the best toys, the best dresses, the best of compliments, Ruri had become the typical rich kid who couldn't be bothered to associate with other children on the street.

Indeed, during her years of isolation, she was either pampered or strictly educated at home. At the age of 10 she was engaged in basic shinobi training as inspired by the leading shinobi clans of the village and she quickly grew accustomed to fighting. It was a way for her to release what she couldn't at normal times, something she had always wanted to do: Go wild. Sure she had a lot of freedom and she could go crazy in her house, but it quickly grew boring to do the same things over and over. Thus having the ability to destroy things all by herself made her a little more happier. Her mother found it to be a good influence for her, even though it only got her to display more and more anti-social behaviors, often trying to test certain ninjutsu techniques on random servants, uncaring if it would hurt them or not.

Because NO ONE CAN BE CORRUPTED in Iwa, she was recruited because of her rare Kekkei Genkai, though already seen in the earth country, it remains a very useful asset in military power.

Clan: None.

Dreams and aspirations: Her goal is to be the strongest of the Granite Guard, even if it takes killing some of the competition in a despicable manner. She also wants to be completely independent, reach a point where even the Tsuchikage can't boss her around. Deep down, she would probably love to rule the world and have everyone admit they are inferior to her, however she does need to be realistic.

General strengths:

-Excessive violence make her a dangerous beast in battle

-Effective tactician, she's an expert in finding ways to kill faster and more efficiently

-Capable in hand to hand combat

General weaknesses:

-Very lacking in teamwork

-Cowardly, she's willing to sell out information if it benefits her or to avoid things like torture

-Low chakra control, she's too violent to control it correctly

Description: After forming the hand seal, the user punches both their fists on the ground. As the earth is slightly clacked, earth and rocks will glue themselves on the hands and forearms of the user coating them in a thin layer of earth upon compressing. They act like gloves that are as hard as rock and have good defensive value. They can also be ejected about five meters away in a straight line and grab something before pulling back to the arm.

Weakness: After a more or less strong hit from a metallic weapon parts will break. Maintain it together costs continuous chakra and can end up taxing in the long term. They can be easily destroyed when ejected too (one slice suffices). [/hider=]

Description: Upon activating this technique, fire chakra forms on the user's back and takes the shape of a pair of 3 meters long wings of fire and going as high as the user's height. The wings alone do not flap nor ca be used as extra members to hit enemies, however they do burn a bit if one were to get in contact with them. Alone they only allow the user to glide a couple of feet over the ground, however when using explosion chakra the wings flex and release a stream of orange energy as if they were a form of jetpack, propelling the user in any direction they want in impressive speed. The speed can of course vary and doesn't go to ridiculous ones either. If the user is high in the air when they stop propelling, they will fall to the ground but the closer they get to the earth, the slower the fall gets (gliding).

Weakness: When gliding the chakra consumption is minimal however when propelled, the consumption skyrockets. The use is very limited and cannot go higher than twenty meters in the air at its current state.

Like an explosive tag, when activated, the circular lid of the knife pops out as if it were a champagne bottle and releases a cloud of small paper bombs as if they were confetti. Both born in influential families, these two were bound to meet up at one point in time through various interactions between the families. However they would only truly meet at the age of 7 and 6 (Ruri is a year older than Kanajiro). After all, dealings involving a foreign daimyo and a filthy rich mob boss were not of the unexpected. Because of the Hanamoto clan's residence being in the same, high class district as the Zuodian's mansion, it wasn't too hard for Ruri to visit her little playmate when she had some free time. Of course, like the clan's heir, she too had a strict education which often kept her days at home, so seeing Kanajiro was like a breath of fresh air. When they would see each other, she'd always try to appear better than him in everything, even if she was completely terrible at the activity. If she got too bad at it, she'd boycott it and force the young boy to comply with her demands to play something else. It wasn't rare for them to get into fights and eventually spar in a rather violent manner. After all, they are both aggressive beasts in the battle field. These habits never truly died even after they had entered their teens and Ruri would often force Kanajiro to make time for her despite his harsh position as the clan's heir.

It's clear she considers him a friend, after all she motivates herself to go through many efforts to get him to hang out with her. However she does find him lacking in certain things, possibly in reason. She cannot stand his ideals about peace and realism, she finds them "bullshitty". It's not that her views are completely different from his, but she's perfectly aware that "wusses" (as she would say) who talk better than they act don't get anything. To her, only a dominating victor will determine what is realistic, what isn't and how peace should be understood. That and she simply loves the thrill of fighting, and wars offer her an escape from the moral barriers that prevent he from going all out on enemies. Nonetheless, despite all the insults she can through at him, she strongly respects him for his position and for the mutual friendship they share.

Personality: Kanajiro is a quite kind and friendly boy, often voicing his trust and likeness for his fellow teammates. On the other hand, he can be ruthless, aggressive and deadly in battle and outside of battle -- this seemingly comes from the Hanamoto clan genetics as most of his clan members share this trait. As the clan leader of this moment, he is expected to be quite a fierce leader however he has stated numerous time he also expects his fellow clan members to act individually. This stems from his absolute qualifications to be a leader, yet somewhat depressing lack of comfortability with this task. Never the less, he has vowed to be the best leader he can be -- kind and generous, and ruthless and brutal to anyone that crosses the clan.

History: Kanajiro comes from an interesting line of Shinobi -- his father is the curreny daimyó of the Country of Fire, and therefore was forced to resign as the clan leader of the Hanamoto people. Kanajiro, being his heir, took over this position at the young age of 14. Before this, he was mostly spending his days training in combat as it wasn't expected of him to be a leader just quite yet -- they made him take a crash course in leadership, political knowledge and the ins and outs of the current situation in the world. This made Kanajiro realize that there is only 1 thing that everyone should know -- the idealism of realism. Idealisms were found everywhere nowadays, but not enough people were realistic. Kanajiro vowed to change that, as well as share the Hanamoto idealism with everyone that was willing to learn.

Ever since that day he was aiming for peace, advocating the alliance between Sunagakure and Iwagakure as the perfect example. As much as these two villages were different, they had an alliance which was somewhat uneasy. But still -- they were working together. Kanajiro also realized that in order to be realistic, you have to sacrifice your idealisms sometimes, stating once in a public speech to all of the Hanamoto clan, both young and old; “The Hanamoto clan has always aimed for peace and advocated it to the Tsuchikage, and in that I pride myself. However, we must realize that in order for peace to be attained we have to sacrifice our want for peace -- as illogical as this sounds. There will always be people opposing peace simply because of their nature of aggressiveness and ruthlessness. None the less, they should be countered with the violence with which they oppose us. That is simply the way of the Hanamoto. Strife for peace -- destroy those who oppose it.” He was met by a deafening cheer for his speech -- the Hanamoto clan had whole heartedly agreed to his speech, and even his father, the Daimyó, who had been invited to see what his son had become, could not stop himself from applauding. This perfectly sums up the Hanamoto clan -- people who strife for peace in the most realistic manner possible -- with violence. But Kanajiro didn't seem happy. He wanted more than this -- he wanted the world.

Dreams and aspirations: His dream is about world-wide peace, whatever he needs to do to achieve this is what he will do -- unknown to anyone is just how far this goes. Amongst his other dreams are to create a professional shinobi academy that bears his clan name -- the Hanamoto Academy for Shinobi and Peace. Here he wishes to teach physical classes, including but not limited to, ninjutsu, taijutsu, weaponry, shuriken and kunai marksmanship. Another part of the academy would be mental classes -- these are the ones he deems the most important. Classes would include combat tactics, political knowledge, 'the balance of Power', chakra-studies and teaching about the Shinobi way. He has started saving money for this academy using Hanamoto clan funds, but nobody knows about this.

General strengths: Head-on combat, taijutsu expert and manipulating from behind the scenes. He is good at hiding the very negatively conceived emotions (anger, fear, etc.) but that is something that most Hanamoto's share. He can rally people for a single cause, such as war or peace. He is also quite good off using weapons in combat, despite not owning or carrying any.

General weaknesses: He's a bad shot with kunai and shuriken, doesn't know much about genjutsu (aside from the basic info) and is very bad at being pushed into the defense due to his aggressive combat style. If you push him back by overwhelming him with two people at once using aggressive styles as well (so he has to defend) he'll be off worse and will require help.

Description: The user flicks his hands after forming the seals, which will start heating up his hands, eventually setting them into flames. For a user like Kanajiro, this will take about a minute before it's usage-ready. For a more powerful shinobi of Jonin-levels it can be instantaneous. The technique can then be used to enhance the taijutsu of the user, allowing them to 'hit' without touching the opponent as the heat is enough to severely burn them. It does require the user to have his hands 'fly by' the target relatively close, so it can't be used to hurt people from miles away. Despite that, the best usage is to simply hit as you would normally, as that gives even more power to the flames -- scorching the target. The emanated heat and thus the burn will increase as the user increases it's power.
Weakness: Water. Also, dodging it. If you use water on it, it'll be unavailable for usage until the hand has dried up -- logically and unpractical for the user of the technique.

- Kanajiro's cousin, though they are often mistaken for brothers. Daisuke is somewhat the exact opposite of Kanajiro, atleast combat wise. Daisuke seems a bit more rational and thoughtful than Kanajiro, but at the same time lacks any sort of fire and drive that Kanajiro has so much of.

• Rei 'Hanamoto'
- Rei is an adoptive member of the clan and is a non-shinobi that has practiced shinobi in the past. She is proficient in the day-to-day leading of the clan and has been instilled by Kanajiro the power with which to do so. She also has some skills with the ink type of jutsus.

• Nayome 'Hanamoto
- Kanajiro's (deceased) mother. A true prodigy of her kind, specialising in a mixture of nin and taijutsu. Much of his skills are 'inherited' from her and this has led other to see him as a sort of prodigy, just like her. However, he lacks much of the skills that his mother had, such as insight and the ability to hold back at times. Kanajiro misses her very much, but is too proud to admit it.

- Kanajiro's 13 year old sister and the reason of his mother's death. Nayome died during birth, but Kanajiro finds himself not blaming Suki as others would. Rather, he sees this as his mothers rebirth and a reason to help Suki become even stronger. Despite his constant attempt to get her motivated, she lacks the motivation to become stronger. Never the less she has great potential.

Daisuke is Kanajiro's 1 year older cousin, who is an expert in defense. They've been through a lot, and Kanajiro was one of the people testing him during his 'inauguration' ceremony making him an honorable part of the family. Kanajiro himself was one of the last to remain standing together with another Hanamoto, and he can honestly say he didn't hold back. Daisuke stood his ground and that was it. Ever since then they've been more like brothers than cousins, and Kanajiro often asked his advice on family matters.

That aside, they've been in classes together where they worked together in many class assignments. This lead to many people referring to them as the Hanamoto duo, or otherwise the Aggressively Defensive Combo. While they can both hold their own in personal combat, and matter of fact likely will come out on top most of the times, together they are a force to be reckoned with due to the way their combo works. While Kanajiro is mostly offensive, he can take a lot of hits. On the other hand, while Daisuke is mostly defensive, he can switch this up rather quickly by using the naginata. As such, they're efficient.

Kanajiro values Daisuke highly, seeing him as a brother of sorts and disregarding the fact that he isn't a head branch member (yet). There will be a day that he'll release Daisuke from the curse of being a sidebranch member, giving him the rights to do more stuff such as marrying within the family itself to keep the bloodline pure, having his children be head branch members from birth, to more practical rights such as simply being allowed to live in the main estate and not having to do chores around the clan grounds.

If Daisuke keeps up the good work and keeps a positive bond between the two, Kanajiro will likely offer him a position within the Hanamoto University of Shinobi arts as a defense teacher, though the school is still being built and nobody really knows of these plans yet.

Kanajiro was always 'stuck' with Ruri -- she was quite the oppressive little lady and Kanajiro often found himself being forced by her to oblige by her games. He found himself mostly winning these games however, and soon enough she started noticing that and turning the games on him, making him lose and stuff like that. Despite that, Kanajiro quickly grew fond of her despite her rude and un-ladylike behavior at times. She was something of a wild child while Kanajiro was naturally calm and friendly, or at the very least appearing as such.

However once they both got to be of age, playing times got cut and Kanajiro found himself mostly training, reading ancient books or leading the clan. Meanwhile, Ruri seemed to be doing mostly studying, learning etiquette and .. training to be a shinobi. Because of her education however she wasn't really trained in the teamwork, something that shone through when she had to escape the training and constant servants bothering her. She was most unfriendly and brutish in grabbing his attention, not realizing that just asking him to make some time would be enough -- she'd often barge in in the middle of a training, a conversation or even a dinner to grab him and force him to comply. While at times Kanajiro found this annoying, he quickly got used to it and would comply because she was quite easy to satisfy. Just tell her she was magnificent, beautiful and perfect in all the ways you could imagine and she'd let him go. Sometimes.

Lately, the education got even harder as exams were coming up. Kanajiro passed without much trouble and Ruri did as well, both earning a high mark and a specific mark of excellence from the Tsuchikage, which was essentially the mark that would make them Granite Guard recruits. However, at the time, they didn't know this. But the months before the exams were mostly spent studying and perfecting the required techniques as well as simply training, for the both of them. Despite Kanajiro's efforts to get Ruri to train together with him, her father spent most of his time trying to block connections between the two of them believing Kanajiro to be a bad influence and the reason for her rebellious personality, so they never got the chance to train together.

However this doesn't mean the Hanamoto's and Zuodians don't get along, rather the contrary as Ruri's father is the one that's in charge of building the new building next to the Hanamoto estate. That said the Hanamoto's are influential enough to be a good strong rival for the Zuodians, similar to the way Hyuga and Uchiha were rivals in Konoha. Never quite at war, but always some tensions between the two of them, a rivalry so to speak. Because of that it is in Ruri's fathers best interest to keep the Hanamoto's as friends, because the Hanamoto's are traditionally shinobi were as the Zuodians aren't.

Kanajiro feels a strange friendship towards Ruri. Where as most of the people, including his cousin, find her obnoxious, pretentious and snobby, Kanajiro has come to understand her reasonings for rebelling against everything and everyone. He won't go out of his way to convince others that she is, really, quite an alright person however. He believes strongly that Ruri can fend for herself and will find out soon enough that this attitude of hers will do more damage than good. Never the less she doesn't seem to care much about this.

At times she can very much so annoy Kanajiro by calling him names, being rude and harsh on him and dragging him on to do things he doesn't want to do, he does believe her way of saying goodbye to him says enough -- the sudden change from Ruri being a bad, loud mouthed girl to somewhat 'kind' in a strange way. He also feels sort of sorry for her being stuck with her father, who doesn't come across as very nice to Kanajiro. He hasn't seen them argue behind the scenes but he has seen the occasional red cheek from being slapped during their childhood. He never really voiced his opinion on this matter as he prefers to keep to Hanamoto affairs and not that of the Zuodians, but he's pretty sure that Ruri knows Kanajiro isn't fond of her father very much.

Reiji Higashi

History with Reiji Higashi

Reiji has been Kanajiro's rival for a long time, ever since they both were in the same class. Kanajiro believes it's due to Reiji's tendencies to see any outsider clan as a bad clan out of his insecurities. Well, that, and jealousness due to Kanajiro being the clan head already while Reiji is stuck being an heir. Whenever they got in an argument, Kanajiro made sure to shove this in his face in attempts to enrage Reiji.

However, despite all this, they share some aspects of their personalities. Kanajiro isn't one to say much either, and neither of them are selfish or act like brats, though Reiji might say that Kanajiro does act like a brat. And other things, such as being pretentious. Besides the occasional argument, in which the class divided amongst the two of them to form sides, the most being with Kanajiro because of Reiji's anti social tendencies, they have very little history and just rivalry.

Opinion on Reiji Hagashi

He views Reiji as what he is -- an heir to a rival family, and a rival of Kanajiro personally. Due to that he prefers to avoid him when possible because he's just a bother, something that keeps him from doing what he likes. However when they get forced to be together, he isn't afraid of the confrontation but never starts it himself. He has never voiced it but he's interested in battling him in order to 'take the Hagashi family' although he would never fully take it. Likely he'd try to either incorporate them into the Hanamoto clan as a branch family and letting them keep their specific traditions to themselves, or he'd simply toss them aside and let Reiji be the leader. However this is all just speculations and he'd need to beat Reiji first.

That aside he has a specific annoyance with Reiji because he posesses a kekkei genkai. Normally this isn't too much of a problem, such as with Ruri, where he simply regards it as 'a natural advantage that can always be overcome by sheer power' but with Reiji he sees it as a manner through which they attempt to show others that they are special and powerful. However Kanajiro believes that the Hanamoto clan is the opposite of these clans, in the manner that they didn't need a kekkei genkai to become powerful and simply rose through the ranks of influence by becoming more and more powerful. Therefore this is another reason for Kanajiro to see him as a rival -- to prove that you don't need kekkei genkai's to be powerful, but that you simply need power and strength.

Hayashi Junnimaru

History with Hayashi Junnimaru

Ever since first meeting, the Junnimaru and the Hanamoto clans have agreed to remain allies. This was all before Iwagakure even took both clans in, when most clans were still wandering or living in their own small villages. Even when the clans both settled in Iwagakure, they remained friends. There is a reason why the Junnimaru mansion and the Hanamoto estate and grounds are so close together. Because of this Kanajiro and Hayashi spent some time together as children -- ranging from playing together, to training together and soon enough sitting next to eachother in class. They're sort of friends -- neither of them sees eachother as a real friend but both acknowledge that they're more than just people that know eachother.

Kanajiro has learnt much from his sparrings with Hayashi, and whether or not Hayashi likes to admit it or not, Kanajiro has taught him some tricks as well. This has led to them being quite evenly matched, and even though they've never managed to finish a fight fully, one of them always had a new trick up their sleeve to get them an upper hand. However after some time they'd still end up in a deadlock -- something strange to Kanajiro as he is quite used to winning when fighting someone that's not Daisuke. Though Kanajiro knows that Hayashi is simply very strong and probably as much of a natural genius as Kanajiro himself is, he likes to blame the steel release kekkei genkai for 'this unfair advantage.' Unlike with Reiji, this doesn't come in the way of the relationship as he treats it more as a slick remark rather than a full-blown insult, but still it chews at Kanajiro that the boy has a kekkei genkai.

Opinion on Hayashi Junnimaru

Kanajiro sees Hayashi as a valuable ally, a good teammate and a very solid teamplayer. Their matching styles only further this view and Kanajiro believes that they'd be capable of decimating an entire enemy force before being taken down. While there is only slight differences in style -- Hayashi uses a much more defensive way of being aggressive by using the characteristic boxing style 'float like a butterfly' while Kanajiro simply takes a hit by being more resilient -- Kanajiro definetely sees his style as a better style and often makes friendly fun of him for being a defensive aggressor. This has lead to both Kanajiro and Hayashi pushing eachother to the limit to prove that they are the more aggressive and ruthless one out of the two -- constantly trying to outdo the other in matters of aggressiveness. In short, if Kanajiro rushes into a fight you can be sure that Hayashi will follow and vice versa.

Known History and Secrets

Personality: Satsuma is a man of zero tolerance. Things that earn his ire, such as weakness and defeat, are the things he has no tolerance for. Although he may seem to be the cruel and ruthless devil his reputation makes him out to be, that persona is, in his own words, "Reserved only for the enemy, and no one else." In truth, his frightening presence is meant to be a scare tactic to any who think they can threaten the village, for any who dare to do so would have to face the Devil himself in battle. For his fellow Iwagakure members, Satsuma is merely silent and indifferent, but still willing to fight and kill to protect them, and in fact has done so on several occasions. Satsuma values strength above all else, whether that be strength on the battlefield or simply strength of mind and heart, it matters not. For Satsuma, strength is the foundation for which all beliefs and philosophies stem, and without it, they will simply crumble and fall by the wayside.

History: While Satsuma's actual birthplace remains unknown, it is a known fact that his clan immigrated to the Land of Earth thirty years ago from parts unknown, making them one of the founding clans of Iwagakure. These people brought with them a style of Martial Arts that, back then, was called the Devil Fist. Interestingly, though, these wandering Devil Fist fighters were just that; fighters, as in not ninjas. It wasn't until they had helped found Iwagakure that their fighting style was integrated into certain parts of the village's ninja training, thus being reformed into what is now known as the Nine-Points Discipline. It was said that this reformation was mandated by the Tsuchikage because the original Devil Fist Technique was deemed too cruel, hence certain techniques and stances were forbidden and the Nine-Points Discipline as it is now known was born.

As for Satsuma himself, he was only a small child when the village was first created and has very vague memories of those times. He does, however, remember full well the stories of his father, Akuma Badou, helping to forge the village into its current form with nothing but his strength alone. Naturally, Satsuma grew up idolizing his father and wanting nothing more than to emulate him in every way. Then he actually began his training, and things starting changing. His father, at least when training anyway, seemed to transform into a cruel man who would beat his son at the slightest sign of failure. After all, Akuma himself was considered a hero of the village, so why shouldn't he expect any less of his son? The older Satsuma got, the more he started hating his father's treatment of him. One day, finally fed up with the abuse, Satsuma turned on his father and defeated him in single combat. Akuma, dying in his son's arms, smiled and finally said, "Well done, my son. You're now ready..." and died.

After that, Satsuma himself was the one meant to take his father's place as the clan patriarch, but he refused the position, instead letting one of his cousins become the head of the clan in his place. Satsuma lived and trained alone for several years, until one day he happened to be passing by the academy and noticed a particular boy. The newly graduated Genin looked proud of himself, and Satsuma wondered if he himself had ever looked like that in his boyhood. But then one of the other students began mocking the Genin for reasons that, at the time, Satsuma wasn't aware of. General strengths: Satsuma is strong, damn strong. A common story about him is that he once defeated an entire squad of ninja by himself with a single punch. The "single punch" part may be debatable, but absolutely no one questions Satsuma's ability to kick multiple asses all at once by himself.

General weaknesses: Satsuma's main weakness stems from the very fighting style he grew up practicing. Nine-Points techniques are criticized for their "lack of honor" but also because many of the advanced techniques tend to be very, very reckless, often causing just as much harm to the user as to the victim. It's also a known fact that the original Devil Fist techniques were also just as dangerous, if not more so. One technique (a Fire Release technique called Hell's Embrace) was said to guarantee the victim's death at the cost of the user's own life alongside them, in other words a suicide technique. When it comes to people her age, she is a bit shy and resorts to a mean fashion of expressing herself thus the latter gets her int fights. She easily gets angered when things don't go her way and will do anything to get what she wants. Kyou can be at her best if she thinks things through than acting first. She's a pretty bad liar as well, not wanting to admit her faults and is prone to naïveté when not having a full proof counter/resolve. In battle her fighting style is deceit which comes out as a disgrace; this is an aspect that fits her business persona where she uses tricks to bribe a client.

Kyou's Father needles to say, does not entirely speak of the past nor what happened to her mother. At a young age of 5, her Father would involve her in business matters, a merchant to be exact, together the father and daughter would travel to other countries such as Suna and sell goods and products. As a commoner of Iwa, Kyou aspires to be a splendid Kunoichi to honor her Father and partly to find answers, however; it was the opposite, her Father was reluctant of her being one, she was given two choices, if she doesn't make any progress within a year, she must give up and continue the family business but if she succeeds, she is free to continue and pursue her life as a ninja(She succeeded becoming a full fledged Genin, anyhow). General strengths:
The Kyou Mindset; it's all about playing it smartly to get the job done which plays a major aspect to her fighting style and ideals.

The dual wielder. Currently one of her prized assets, she practiced dual wielding a wooden sword four months before Genin promotion. She is still a novice at it. Picked up this skill because her mom plays swords as well.

Jerk has a point; she's not too empathic; her lack of consideration sometimes can lead to downing her peers instead of cheering them up, she is frank and awfully honest. This can even come straight out rude and disrespectful which in return became a habit. Worst comes to worst, it adds up to her arrogance, it comes closer to superiority complex but not the level of narcism.

Shen's personality is a bit of an enigma to those who stand outside his small circle of friends. He rarely opens up to anyone who he doesn't have a reason to trust. It isn't due to a lack of social skill or a general shyness of any sort; Shen is simply void of any social desire. He doesn't seek out attention or popularity, though they end up finding him one way or another. He was always the "cool" kid on the block - the smooth, suave, and surreal. Every detail of his character is a matter of discussion among teenage civilian girls that swooned over him when he lived in the market district. However, ever since he decided to tread the path of the shinobi, he discovered a new found silence. For what he lacks in verbal communication is made up for with his amazing ability to empathize and understand an individual's intentions. This is part of the reason he flows so well with anyone and everyone, though it seems as he doesn't even try to make friends. They just get to him first.

History: Shen was born to a high-ranking ninja within the Hidden Leaf Village. He spent his infant years with his mother, who had given up the life of a shinobi to settle down and raise her child properly. He lived an average first few years - somewhat pampered by his loving mother who believed that he would soon be ready to follow his father's footsteps and join the academy. However, at age eight, Shen's father was convicted of treason for reasons unknown to Shen. For weeks, he and his mother were forced into "protective" custody while the village searched for his missing father. The only memory Shen has of this time in his life is his mother telling him to never lose faith. This message was carved into his brain - the image of his mother telling him to hold on kept him going/

Two days before the search was to be called off and Shen and his mother were to be released, Shen's mother, along with a good number of guards were murdered. Shen was the only one to survive the assault, whose sole suspect was Shen's father and anyone who may have accompanied him. Shen was traumatized, and he didn't speak a word from the time he was taken to the hospital to the day he was discharged. Drowning in a sea of confusion and despair, Shen attempted to fight off the emotions while Konoha worked to put him in a foster home. There, he tried to mask his emotions and pretend like everything was fine and that life would go on. But the psyche of an eight year old can only go so far, even for someone matured well past his years like Shen.

The night that he felt his loneliness was suffocating him, that his pain was overwhelming and unbearable, he decided to run away. He ran as if each step drained away the suffering that he was forced to endure, despite his nurses' and teachers' every attempt to help him through it all. He didn't reach far before he passed out, sobbing away the last of his consciousness. He was picked up a patrol of Stone ninja who took him for the lost son of a merchant due to his unique style of clothing. With no trace of his parents, they decided to take him back the Iwigakure. Upon waking up in a new land, a new world, Shen felt completely reborn. He still felt the grief from losing his mother, but he didn't feel completely lost for whatever reason brought forth by his presence in Iwigakure. When asked for his name, he simply gave his first, choosing to forget who he was and start anew. In Iwigakure, Shen regained his old self, managing to once again attain peace of mind and happiness. Now, he lives a happy-go-lucky life as a genin who seeks the best in everyone and everything.

Description: Senkami is Shen's first and only original jutsu. He has a natural affinity for feeling and blending with natural energy. Having trained his chakra to connect with the nature energies around him, Shen can create an aura of golden chakra around his entire body (or specific body part), like a translucent armor. This armor can not only enhance his physical attacks, but can greatly increase his defense. He also feels little to no pain from physical strikes when it is activated. Essentially, this ability causes his chakra to leak from his body and instantly react with natural chakra, which creates the power-enhancing armor.
