In this world, there is always the question of magic and forces beyond the initial comprehension of the human mind. Hidden beneath the surface of normal life and what people perceive as an acceptable reality, lays the world of the Magi.
Magi are almost always mistakenly related to Genies, and while although the two races are similar in methodology, they greatly differ in purpose. When humans seek to erase the burden of their current lives, they turn to the dark arts in search of greater power and might.
The summoning of a Magi varies from culture to culture, although it is universally accepted to sign one’s name on a slip of paper and bury it deep within the ground. Next, a drop of blood is provided as nourishment for the new life, until a Magi appears to the being in question on the very next night.
Bound to the laws of creation, Magi are required to fulfill one wish to their user. However, upon doing so, they are then bound in a pact until their new host’s wish is eventually granted. The catch is that only the Magi may determine when said wish is truly accomplished.
There are setbacks though, as a great deal of Magi have haughty superior complexes, and it is not unknown for Magi to enslave their human hosts. Still, there are some who become a bit…too attached in their line of duty.
Such are the cases with Characters A and B.
A was one a blissful and ignorant high school girl, who made a foolish little wish in the face of tragedy; the wish to never be hurt again.
B was a Magi all too willing to grant the wish, and soon the dark deed was done.
A soon got her wish, but at a price. Her Magi, B, had developed a sick addiction towards her and refuses to end their pact, vowing to be A’s eternal lover. That’s fine and all, but one has to consider a Magi’s twisted moral views on humanity.
Needless to say, this has caused some rather…unfortunate implications.
And so arrives A’s final year in high school with B posing as her human lover. Seeing the various covered bruises and wounds, many have tried to convince A to leave this obviously abusive relationship. All of these attempts end only in A apologizing for a concept they cannot understand…only to be punished in hidden sight by B and then nursed back to meager health with twisted affection.
So begins the story of two girls, one human and one Magi, as they struggle to understand each other.
Of course, there are also rumors of the Magi rising up to take back the world from the humans as well. But that’s all they are, yes?
Just rumors.
Character A considers herself a devout fighter of justice. Therefore, every battle scar, broken nose, bloodied eye, and won battle is all in the name of the righteous. With her father as a well-renowned lawyer, A often takes the path she believes to be right. Unfortunately, these paths usually lead her into fights on the street and in school.
One dreary day after school, A witnessed a freshman girl in the city alleyways being ganged upon by several male upperclassmen. A few shouts occurred before A effortlessly sent all of the bigger boys running to the hospital. It is then said that on that same day, late at night, A was visited by a girl of equal age claiming to be a member of the infamous Yakuza.
Being the arrogant and stubborn avenger she is, A challenged the supposed Yakuza to a fight in the darkness. She lost horribly.
When she woke up from her injuries, she was surprised to see the girl from before standing before her. Instead of ending her life right then and there, the Yakuza had spared A and even took the time to nurse back her wounds and her lost pride. Having being the only person A had ever lost to, she was intrigued as to why the Yakuza even bothered. From then on, it’s hard to decipher how exactly the two ended up as a couple, but once news of this reached the schools, everyone feared for the worst.
As it turned out, this mysterious girl didn't hail from Yakuza bloodline. Through some turn of events, she was not the leading Yaukuza Princess of the city. The cruelest bitch in the world coupled with the girl who never lost a fight.
Some say A swore allegiance after her grueling defeat. Some say that the Yakuza Princess is holding her family hostage and at gunpoint, though A's ever present father would happily deny this. And still, some say that A just found a reason to put her anger and fists to some use. Regardless, the schools now fear A as the Yakuza's leading lapdog.
Deep in the woods of the unknown lays a manor. It is both a place of shushed secrets and ominous menace as many dare not approach its gates for fear of the wicked. Most claim the place to be owned by a mysterious tycoon whose riches go towards organizations best kept unsaid. The populace isn’t too far off from the truth.
Enter Devil’s Tongue, a large estate owned by a very prestigious and very powerful demon lord, Character A. Character A spends their daily nights within the manor’s walls, having done all they can for the demon world in their long lifetime and deciding to spend the rest of their lives in early retirement.
Character B and C are servants. Rather, they are more than just servants but the ones who make sure the manor runs smoothly, more or less. Character B is the manor’s guard dog while Character C holds the establishment as the mansion’s head maid. Both are highly competitive for their demon lord’s affections and attentions.
One day, a human resident stumbles upon the hidden mansion. Let’s call them Character D. Character D is welcomed into the manor with open arms in the hopes of studying human relations between supernatural creatures. However, there is a catch.
Character D is a world renowned monster hunter. And they have just been welcomed into the lion’s den.
Hilarity and mayhem soon ensues.
