Soul Story OnlineGM: Dark Revenger Knight
It's the year 2020; several years ago the world's first virtual reality game was created only to disappoint millions with its poor environments, lackluster AI and massive lag. Fortunately, technology evolved. An emerging software company, Oracle, decided to incorporate the latest in brain science into its ambitious project - Soul Story Online. They found a way to successfully
trick the five sense into accepting artificial reality as real via a headset; an adjustable meter would control the level of realism - hardcore gamers could set the dial at max to experience fatigue and even pain. Since its first reveal, the hype was uncontainable and thousands would wait in line for the game's release.
Soon the game was released to the public. As thousands connected their headsets, Aeternus, the virtual world, became alive. As hoped, the game more than met even the wildest of expectations; the spawn town, Nexus, was quickly filled with the awed expressions of people admiring the level of detail in their avatar, the seamlessly integrated user interface that lit as a bright holographic screen and the rough feel of brick that held up armor shops and magic boutiques that were attended by Oracle moderators. The game's combat system was equally impressive; physics was augmented to allow incredible duals in both PvP and PvE and as was promised, the experience delivered...
CS:Real Life Name: Soul Story Name: Age:Gender: Weapon:Weapon Name:Class: 1 well-written paragraph (I won't have too many reservations so long as you don't abuse this; I'll let you know if you are)
Soul Attack:Avatar Appearance: 1 well-written paragraph (The game replicates actual physical appearance via a set of polygons that essentially recreates your image virtually and other gibberish that we won't bother going into; you may use an image to supplement your paragraph, I prefer you'd use a Gaia image but up to you)
Personality: 1 well-written paragraph (I'd like to see characters complete with strengths
as well as weaknesses)
Here's my CS; I might do some editing...
Real Life Name: Hunter Crux
Soul Story User Name: Ares
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Weapon: Great Lance
Weapon Name: Soul Eater
Class: Dark Knight - A heavy htting knight that includes dark magic in his arsenal. Its greatest fault lies in its defensive capabilities. They go in hard and fast, are great for initiating assaults but require backup to remain alive.
Level: 1 (We're all level 1, no exceptions)
Soul Attack: The Thousand War Ender - A fury of blows charged with dark energy that maul the opponent (Use of Soul Attacks will have some interesting consequences...)
Move Pool:MagicDark Wave - A slash that exerts one wave of dark energy. Cost [20SP]
Demon's Rage - Soul Eater becomes engulfed in crimson rage and releases a staggering thrust. Cost [40SP]
MeleeEarth Breaker - User takes to the sky and thrusts his weapon downward.
Triple Thurst - A series of thrusts that aim for specific points of reference.
Avatar Appearance: (The game replicates actual physical appearance via a set of polygons that essentially recreates your image virtually and other gibberish that we won't bother going into)
Towering at 6'1'', Hunter sports a hazelnut faux-hawk that drops down along the contour of the neck and down the forehead, on opposite side, to the tip of his Greek-esque nose. He has thick, well-kept eyebrows and his sideburns arch around the temple before sliding down to perfect peaks along his jawline. His intense, emerald-struck eyes contrast with his pale skin tone and his shoulders amount for his most impressive feature. While not heavily built or overly muscular, Hunter is toned. As part of his in-game ensemble, Hunter wears a wine-red cloak; the hood usually hangs at eye level just enough to allow him visibility of his surroundings but also enough to conceal the greater part of his expression. He wears a silver chest-plate with gold edges around the waist level and around the shoulder slots. The gauntlets protecting his arm are made of the same black, stainless steel as his leg armor. The shoe piece peaks into a lethal point on each foot and along the shin up to the knee and beyond, metal layers stack.

Personality: Hunter likes to keep to himself by choice but doesn't mean he won't occasionally join in on conversation. He's intrusive when it comes to taking action but has deep regrets. He isn't known for being the smartest person and if grades are any indication of such, he isn't the most studious but he is street smart. An avid MMO player, Hunter has a reputation of playing solo but will once in a while play with others; this attribute mirrors his real life personality. He doesn't have many friends but care deeply for those that are in that list. One of his notable strengths is his incredible ability to push forward under great levels of pressure and one of his most unforgiving weaknesses is his blunt attitude toward the unknown. He can act (and probably will) without due consideration which, in the past, has lead to undesirable outcomes and has landed him in tight spots. At first glance and certainly when you first meet him, it would appear that he has an attitude problem or a rainy cloud constantly over his shoulder and this is because he does. He's impatient, hates flying and is easily annoyed by certain types of personalities.
By all means a reserved person, Hunter doesn't easily trust others but is known to have fallen for the wrong people in the past which is why for the time being he's kept away from relationships. Lastly, Hunter is by no means an expert at MMOs but he learns quickly and enjoys the thrill of battle.

Couple's Abilities
There are ten levels in each of the three different stats, Loyalty, Passion, and Care. As they level up, Couples are eligible to the benefits of "Lover Abilities", specific to only those who truly and deeply cherish one another. We will now go down a list of the abilities gained.
Loyalty
Level 1: Back Off! -- This ability, when used, causes an AoE burst of damage to emit from both partners in a Relationship, forcing enemies to be knocked back as a result. Only allowed once every 6 posts.
Level 5: White Knight -- This ability is a COUNTER ability only: When one would take mortal damage, their lover may teleport to them to take the full blunt of the blow instead regardless of their position of current status effects at a 50% damage resistance. Status effects will retain their influence after the teleport. This only works on single-target attacks. Only allowed once every 8 posts.
Level 10: Undying Love -- The paragon of loyalty, this Couple has fought through thick and this, and this is a reward for the loyalty they have displayed in one another. Undying Love creates a phantasm of light, using the sheer power of their faith in one another to render them invincible for a few seconds. During this time, they may take any action at half of the cost. Only allowed once every 12 posts.
Passion
Level 1: Love Tap -- By providing motivation to their partner, a lover may grant Regen (5%), Haste, ATK UP. and Berserk on their partner. Only allowed once every 6 posts.
Level 5: Sweet Death -- This ability appeals to the more...possessive side of the user's lover, by performing actions against the enemy that instill jealousy in them. As a result, the lover will deal 50% more damage to the target this is used upon, who is momentarily Charmed by the ability itself. Only allowed once every 8 posts.
Level 10: Undying Passion -- Upon using this ability, the sheer intensity of the Couple's love will emit a pulse throughout the area that does massive non-elemental damage. Enemies who face them upon the release of the pulse are momentarily stunned.Only allowed once every 12 posts.
Care
Level 1: A Lover's Touch -- The simple touch of their lover's hand caressing their cheek negates negative status effects. Only allowed once every 6 posts.
Level 5: Down The Aisle -- Picking up their significant other, the Couple proceed to walk "down the aisle", rendering them immune to damage and causing continuous bouquets to be thrown out around them in order to explode, causing damage.Only allowed once every 8 posts.
Level 10: Extreme Heavenly Love -- By tossing out a physical representation of their love created from the unending care each hold for one another, the partner may heal them both to 100% HP and SP over a 5 second period. Only allowed once every 12 posts.
Pet Shop
The Pet Shop is not only a mere NPC-driven shop, but it also hosts daily quests dependant on new specimens that have been sighted in the wild that the system deems catchable by players coming and going into the region. Only by accepting the quests to the fullest prerequisites, can a pet be captured at its basic form -- as a Life Crystal.
Pets evolve, growing with their owner as they do themselves, and gain experience as their owners complete quests and slay monsters. The four stages a Pet has are:
Life Gem -> Baby -> Teen -> Adult
As a Pet's affinity increases for their owner, they may reach a state called "Special" Mode, in which they become very picky about what they eat. Why is this a good thing, you ask? Why, it means that the Pet is close to evolving! What they will eat once they are in Special Mode depends on the species, so the player can learn through either trial-and-error or having a Pet Shop identify their preferred food!
