Kijani's jaw dropped as the fire couldn't catch the paper. She was already happy, and now she was so delighted that she clutched Connor in a tight, triumphant hug. "Oh my god, you are a freaking genius! It works! I'm going to be unstoppable! Ahaha! You're wonderful..." She realized what she was doing and hastily backed up, clearing her throat. "...I mean... thank you. You've done exemplary work, Connor." Then she frowned slightly. "What do you mean, you don't dance? Dancing's easy!"
Devika sighed softly. She didn't feel like explaining to someone who probably wouldn't get it, but the words started to come anyway. "I can make people feel things, but only if I feel them first. And now I feel all this fear and excitement from everyone, and... it's just getting on my nerves, I'm not even allowed to enjoy something with as many people as a dance. I'm good at keeping things out, but all the students in one place would be beyond my ability to keep out. I'd be a total wreck... or a robot. Either way I sure wouldn't be dancing." She huffed, running a hand through her thick curls in a pose of sheer fustration.
