Connor sighed "I have no idea what to do now, and I'm not sure I like it" he finished off his sandwich, then bit into a cookie, thinking. He looked through the crowd in the cafeteria. Through a space, he saw kijani. And now he really didn't know what to do.

"Hold on" he said to Austin, standing up, he walked over cookie in hand, noticing the garment bag. The white jacket, of course. At that he smiled "hi"

Ben smiles, "That's really awesome! How fast can you fly? And what emotional powers do you have?"

John leaves his Morals class and walks to the cafeteria. He gets two footlong meatball subs and eats them at an empty table in the corner of the cafeteria.

Kijani pulled herself from her book at the feeling of someone watching. She set down the book, cover side down, and looked backwards. Her wary look melted into a happy one. "Hi, Connor..." She smiled, moving the garment bag to make space for him to sit. "Uhm... how have you been?"

Estella walks up to Kalinda and Ben. She was drying her hands with a paper towel having just come from geology. This particular class was hands on, something Estella didn't want to miss considering she was an elementalist. The class had been taught by the resident scientist Dr. McCoy. Earth had a lot of unfamiliar elements. She figured getting up close an personal with some samples would help her understand how to manipulate them better. Of course Estella had lots of questions for McCoy who was happy to oblige. He always loved to see his students engaged in the lessons.

Taking a moment to asses the situation she 'spoke' up. Hello there. She looks at Kalinda and smiles. I don't think we've been formally introduced. My name is Estella.

That's great. That would explain thy everything went dark when you were fighting Mimic. And to answer your question, no I can't. Or at least not yet. We'll have to see what happens. My people communicate only through telepathy. She had a mixed expression since she wasn't sure if she liked that fact or not.

Kalinda smiled and nodded "yes, I wasn't too sure how he could copy powers,
But figured plunge the room into darkness and then neither of us could see" she said, "well, earths a funny place. You're probably adapting to it" she assumed more than anything that when Estella said people, she was an alien.

Estella nodded. I've had several months to get used to hearing and understanding English. I was able to laugh a little bit the other day though. So maybe I can keep trying and build my voice. She seemed excited about that prospect. She really did try to it in when she could.

"Oh, not much. Woke up, couldn't get dressed properly- I almost wore two different socks, and put my gloves on the wrong hands..." She shook her head, smiling. The smile flickered into something shy. "It's your fault, you know."

Devika decided that eating just wasn't going to happen today. She got up and went to dump her tray, and spotted John sitting alone, with copious amounts of meatball sub to keep him company. She made a slight detour for his table. "Hey..." She hovered in the aisle, not sure if she should sit.

Kalinda smiled "just like a baby, I guess" she said "you know, there's a few smarty pants in our classes, maybe you could ask one of them to help you out, figure out a way of getting words out of your head or doe thing"

Well unless they can make my vocal chords stronger I don't think that will help. My last doctor visit they told me I can't speak because of their disuse. But I've been trying some vocal exercises and it seems to be helping. Right Ben? You heard it.

Her hand rubbed the back of her neck. "...well, I... I would... I mean-" She didn't know why it was suddenly so hard to string words together. Slowly she tried to calm herself and breathe. "...I would... I think... yes." Dammit, Stark, making her sound like a moron...

John looks up, his mouth full of food, and waves slightly at Devika. He gestures toward the empty seat while he finishes what he's chewing. When his mouth is empty, he says, "Hey! You want some? Of the sandwich, I mean."

Anthony finishes his meal and exits the cafeteria, winking knowingly at Connor as he passes Kijani.

Devika sat down, before shaking her head at the offer of a sandwich. "No thanks. I don't need more calories today." She smiled a wan smile. Inwardly she was wondering a bit where all the food went, but the longer she looked at John's chiseled muscles, the more she realized he probably had to work a lot to keep himself that way.
