Kalinda rose early, cooking up some breakfast for nerself, and then lunch for the coming day. Salad for lunch, toast with jam for nreakfast. She showered, and dressed. Sje grabbed her pack, Griffin and Zacks jacket, heading outside, munching on toast. She went to the cafeteria, simply because thzt seemed to be whereneveryone conveyed. She sat down. It was still early.

Connor managed to wake early, having set his alarm. He showered and dressed slowly, thinking on the night before. He smiled, heading outside with his pack and suit, old clothes stuffed in there as well. Kijani was N intriguing puzzle. Funny, smart, tough, and beautiful, Connor thought she seemed to have hidden secrets she hadn't shared to him.

the thing with connor was he culd be very persistent. Puzzles could always be figured out. And he would figure kijani out. Because it was too late to not want to do so.

He went for his tyoical morning flight, before heading ti get some food from the cafeteria.

Katherin woke up earlier than normal. She hadn't slept well because she was worried about Jack. He hadnt been acting like himself last night. She wanted to check on him as soon as she could.

Zack got ready for another school day. He gathered the things they would most likely need. They dressed in old clothes, remembering Mimic's warning about getting dirty. Once they had everything Zack headed to the cafeteria to find them some breakfast.

Estella was up much earlier than she usually would have been. Just before the sun rose she woke up as if it were routine. Her mind was finally clear. Even knowing she was once two minds didn't seem to matter. She was a new person now and fine with her new identity. Not being very expressive she must have retained a lot of the soldiers side of things.

Heading to her room before many were awake she avoided seeing anyone else just yet. But she would confront then eventually. Getting peroxided for the day she realized that none of her old clothes would fit. No matter, her uniform was designed with battle in mind. It would survive. Making her way to the cafeteria she intended to have a solid meal this morning.

Kalimda looked up as Zaxk entered the cafeteria. She knew it was Zack because he walked slightly diffent to Griffin. And she could feel his emotions. She rose, finishing off her toast. She picked up their jacket, and walked over, "hi Zack" she said, "you guys forgot your jacket last night"

Zack smiled in greeting. "Very good. Not even our mother can tell who is in charge without talking to us. Griffin wishes you a good morning. Thank you for returning the jacket."

"Good morning Griffin" kalinda said with a smile. "Not everyone can feel emotions" she continued "plus, you walk different, Griffin walks as if he is ready to spring into action. Just a slight difference, one that not many would notice"

"I never thought about our walks." Zack said thoughtful. It made sense that their walks would be different. Griffin was more aggressive and on guard where Zack was more laid back. "I wanted to thank you myself for being so kind to Griffin. I wasn't in a good place for much of the night. I don't know what he would have done alone."

Kalinda shrugged, "I enjoyed myself" kalinda said, "I would have been alone anyway. I like you two. What was wrong?" She asked, "and you dont have to answer"

Zack sat down as he considered the answer. "Do you know how most multiple personalities are created?"

Kalinda sat down as well. "Huh. Well, no. But I'd take a guess and say its the minds way of creating another "you" to deal with am issue, or a need. Like a defense mechanism to prevent breakdown I guess I homestly couldn't say-just me myself and I in my head" she said

"Until I was 7 there was only me. My mom has MP so I was familiar with the idea. I was kidnapped off the playground. I don't remember much, which I am thankful for. But Mimic reminds me alot of what I do remember about the guy. Watching him attack Estella and not being able to do anything was too close." Zack explained softly.

"Oh, Zack" kalinda said softly, reaching out, laying a hand on his, "next time, we will go out the classroom, okay?"

Zack smiled sadly, but shook his head. "We need the close. Griffin can handle it. I'll just make sure I'm locked way during demonstrations. We can't leave every time sometimes upsets me. We'll never learn the skills we need."

Kalinda nodded, "play to your strength is being smart" she said, "mimics teachings may be harsh, but just think, one day we can kick his butt!"

"Harsh is one word for it. I hope you guys will be able to." Zack replied [i]You must breath. Your emotions are very intense. If you do not breath you will hurt her. [\i] Zack should have though of that. His job was emotions. He was suppose to be in charge of them not them in charge of him. " I can see why Griffin likes you."

Kalinda atudied his emotions curiously. She didn't have any of her blocks up, and could feel them easily. And yet, she wasn't overwhelmed, she reached out, and soothed his emotions, just enough so she could concerntrate, "why?" She asked

"Because your kind." Zack complimented. [i] And she treats us as if we are someone of value. [\i] Griffin added. "And because you treat us as if we are someone of value."

"Why wouldn't I?" Kalinda said, although shencould understand easily about not being valued, "everyone deserves to be valued in some way or another"

" you're right everyone should be valued." Zack agreed. " a person's value is a hard thing to estiblish. It is usually based in what the person can offer. And Griffin can not offer much to anyone other then me."

"He offers a lot to me" kalinda said softly, "and value dodsnt necessary mean what someone can offer. Ive offered lots to people before and gotten no where"
