Griffin did not understand why his compliment upset Kijani. Maybe he would has to ask Kalinda or Estrlla what he had done wrong. He thought all warriors wanted compliments on their skills. Deep in thought Griffin returned to his seat.

Kalinda knew that Griffin had meant any offense by it. And Kijani's emotions seemed unstable at the moment, as if she were trying to hold something at bay. Kalinda decided not to get involved, turning to Griffin, "that was a good fight" She said, giving him a smile

"You're light blinded her a second, right? Disorientated. She wanted to prevent that from happening again, I think" Kalinda said, then sighed, "some girls don't like the stereotypical gender biases that are around. By saying the compliment like you did, you made it sound like a girl can't fight. Not every girl will like your...chivalrous ways"

"I know you didn't mean it offensive, but maybe next time say "you fought well" And leave off the "For a girl", will take as a compliment a lot easier" Kalinda said, "I suspect everyone can fight in one form or another here. They have been here a while, after all" she said glancing at the screen to see John and Jack fighting. She thought it would probably just be a bunch of blows. "not all super kids know how to fight, just because their parents do. I don't" Kalinda said, "I suspect my mother was hoping I would never develop any powers. So I barely know how to fight. I guess I can always use my shadow power. But it depends who I go up against" Kalinda glanced away from the screen, looking at her desk once again.

Kalinda glanced up, smiled a small smile, "You've already done a lot for me. I couldn't ask for anything more" She said, could she?

Kalinda laughed, "Thats true, but" here, she frowned, "It isn't your fault I am ignorant in how to fight, so why would you blame yourselves?" and then realised that that was probably a silly question to ask them, "Okay then" She said

"What do you mean? Do you need help with something?" Kalinda asked. When had she looked after them? Beyond the movie and pizza, she couldn't really think what else she had done. She had offered to help them with clothes, but hadn't done anything about that yet. Oh, right. Taking the emotions. At this thought, she instinctively reach out to the wall, and box that the emotions were lock in. She had no other way of explaining it then that. No cracks, that was good.
