Ben shrugs as he replies, "Oh well. We're here anyway." He sets Kalinda down in front of Deadpool's room and says, "Catch ya later, ok?"

John sets Austin down on a cot in the nurse's station and leaves, assuming Connor would explain what had happened. Now, with nothing better to do, John heads to Bane's fighting class.

"If you want to learn how to predict your enemies' moves, I suggest you visit Mr. Samuel Sterns. His class on strategy and battlefield tactics is rather good. I don't know from experience which teacher would be best at training your reflexes, but I imagine it would be one of the martial arts classes." Anthony answers.

Austin watched John leave and then looked at Connor. He said," i-it's not your fault..." He rested his head back, pressing his hand against his side with a small grunt. He said," I-I never want to be suffering from that much fear again..."

Connor explained what had happened, then said "it is my fault for not thinking what could happen if you lost consciousness with the gloves on"

Kalinda nodded, straightening her clothes, which she realized were still her gym gloves. She shoved her jacket on, "sure thing. Thanks!"

Phoebe headed off to Dr Connors class, saying goodbye to Ryan. She slipped into the classroom sitting at what had been her usual desk

He said," you cannot think of every possible situation... I don't think it happened when I was unconscious.. I just think it was because of the fear I accidentally pushed the claws out. But I don't remember." He watched the healer, blinking as the healer used the abilities to heal his side. He mumbled," amazing..." He was still tired however, and was planning on skipping class, at least until mimics. He was hoping he wasn't called on today. Powers can only do so much with blood loss.

"I should think of everything! What's the point of being brainy if I can't help my friends? Can't predict what could happen? I should have thought of it, and because I didn't, you got hurt" Connor said, frustrated at himself. "I should have thought what could happen with empathy running around"

Austin grunted, slowly pushing himself up to his feet. He appeared to be rather unsteady on them however. He grasped his friend's arm, partially as something to stabalize him, using it the rest of the way to keep him still. He said," you can never be perfect Connor. If you thought of every single possible outcome, eventually it would lose all practicality of it. These are perfect in my mind, just the way they are. If I didn't pass out, it is likely that I would have pushed my own claws out, even with the gloves right there."

"Then why does everyone expect me to be perfect?" Connor said, shifting without even thinking about it to give Austin more support "why does everyone expect that I'm always goody two shoes stark? Kijani thinks that just because I see her as perfect, it must be imaginary! She thinks that because I'm "goody two shoes" that I don't understand the other side. Which isn't true! I'd do just about anything for anyone I care about!" He sighed, shook his head, "Come on, we will go get some food, and juice. Dr Connors won't miss me for a lesson, and the food and juice will do you good"

Ryan's speedster class was surprisingly easy. With Quicksilver as the teacher and Ryan the only student it was way too easy. He was too busy thinking of his plan. Phoebe would be so surprised!

Jack had enough one of his classes with Bane. Controlling his anger and such. He was a bit frightened about Ben trying to eat people... But that could wait.

Austin looked at Connor listening quietly. He said," then tell her. Don't let her interrupt you, but talk. Tell her exactly how you feel, and explain to her what you told me. Don't let her cut you off.." He then snorted," but what do I know, I've never had to really deal with a girl." He grinned at him slightly, trying to lighten the mood. "Food sounds good... Let's go get some then.." He started to walk, albeit slightly unsteady still.

"I haven't either, and thought I wouldn't for years yet. But" And here Connor actually managed a smile as he matched Austin's pace, walking slightly behind so that if Austin fell, he could catch him. "You seem to get on well with Maxine"

Phoebe slid right into Dr Connors Class, and tried to spend the lesson figuring out what she had missed and how to catch up. She went pretty well, but was stumped at what her own research project could be. So she spent at least a quater of the lesson making a list of things she might be able to test or make in the chemistry class.

Feeling a bit defeated when class was over, and a bit out of place, Phoebe headed towards the cafeteria, slightly gloomy.

That's why everything. Every last little thing. Must go according to plan. Ryan thought as he got the final pieces of his plan. All he needed was Phoebe. Finding her would be easy. He eventually did and then it was go time. He flash ran down and picked her up before she could stop him and ran off holding her. The colors as usual would whiz by and then they would be there. A spot in Phoebe's garden. There in the middle of the spot was a brown and green checkered picnic blanket. Ryan would set her down and smiled. There was all her favorite foods then. Pizza chocolate, and the rest. In a vase in the middle were daffodils and lilies. He thought it looked nice.
"Well do you like it? I wanted to celebrate your birthday as if it were today. I only had a few hours to set this up. " He said scratching his head.

Phoebe didn't even have time to cry out when Ryan picked her up. The familiar blurring of colours reassured her that it wasn't someone trying to attack her. When he set her down, She looked about, before turning to Ryan "Its perfect" She said softly, truthfully, "Amazing" She gave him a kiss, and hugged him tight

Katherin headed to lunch. She wanted to do something different, but she couldn't figure out what. Her friends were growing and changing and she didn't feel like she was. Deep in thought Katherin sat outside.

Zack was glad fighting class was over. He knew the skill they learned were important., but he didn't like the idea of hurting anyone. Hopefully that would never be an issue. He could relay on Griffin to handle those kind of situations.

Ryan smiled slightly when she kissed him. It was a good day. Well it would get better. "Well you haven't seen anything yet! Come on. Let's eat. Got your favorite pizza. " He said after she let go. He sat down and motioned for her to do the same. "I figured you needed this. "

Jack walked out of Bane's class covered in sweat. He showered in the locker room and then walked to lunch. There he saw Katherin sitting alone. He grabbed a quick sandwich and one for her. He say with her and offered her one. He did not talk just let her think.

Phoebe sat down. No one had ever made such a fuss for her birthday. She was a little overwhelmed. "I did" She agreed, smiled, taking a slice of pizza, "There's more to this?" She asked, surprised. What more could he mean?

He of course had gotten her a gift. It was small but worth it he thought. "Well I did get you gift. It's not much but I think you would like it. " He said taking out a necklace. It was silver and in the center was an emerald. He had gotten it cheap but he thought it was a good birthday present. "I hope you like it. " He said handing her the necklace. He are a bit of pizza worried about if it had worked.

"Oh, oh, oh. Its brilliant, its lovely, its great" Phoebe dropped her slice of Pizza, putting the necklace on, "I love it" She smiled happily, "You're the best" She tied her hair back so the necklace could be seen. "its absolutely perfect"

The fact that Ryan would go to such lengths for her was something Phoebe had never had before. She would be forever grateful for whatever gods of fate had led him to talk to her on the first day at the academy, on what had led her here to the school, that changed her life forever.

Just the picnic was enough to make her extremely happy, and she grinned

Ryan smiled a huge grin. She liked her gift and that made it all worth it. He thought she looked amazing with it.

He thought it funny. He had talked to her at random and look where it went. He did not believe in that stuff but whatever. "You look amazing. " He said looking oddly pleased with himself. "So was this worth the wait? I thought of this literally this morning on the fly. " He said feeling proud this had worked.

Phoebe nodded, "Yes, it was. Its absolutely perfect. And the fact that you did it on so little time makes it even more perfect" She smiled, grabbed the slice of pizza she had dropped, "You're amazing"

Ryan was beyond happy. It had worked so well for her. He had hoped it would work this well. Just not expected it to do so. "Well I only did it since I'm glad you're back and needed you. " Ryan confessed. "Well you are back now and I had to celebrate. You are the amazing one. " Ryan said eating his pizza.
