"Good, they seem to be dropping like flies in the name of true love around here." At his proposition she laughed and gave a slight shake of her head. "Oh please, you'll definitely come crawling to me first. I mean honestly, as if a girl like me could ever be lonely." She bantered, biting her lip to emphasize her point.

Kyra took a deep breath, trying to stand, but still supporting herself against the wall. She clenched her fist, flames beginning to seep out of her fingers until it completely engulfed her knuckles. "Bring it, sister....." she growled. She pushed herself off of the wall with a gust of air that expelled from her other hand as she hit the wall with her palm. When she got close enough to Devika, she swung at her, the fire in her fist flaring bigger as it got closer to her.

Devika knew she didn't have the speed to dodge the punch. She brought up her forearm and blocked it, hissing in pain as she felt the heat of the fire through her sleeve. Without waiting, she brought her free arm around in a hard right cross, trying to end the fight as quick as she could. She had no real defense against an elemental user.

Kyra went to move her head out of the way, but ended up getting hit in the side of the head. She swung her leg around and went to kick Devika's knees out from underneath her, hoping she hit her.

Devika ground her heels into the floor, and felt a quite solid thump as Kyra's leg made contact. But that's all it did- she didn't lose her balance. The force of the blow wasn't strong enough to topple her. It hurt, sure, but she was still standing. Was it possible...?

"I would hope you know how to hit harder than that." Devika swung a heavy punch at Kyra's midsection.

Austin nodded and grinned slightly," that would be great." He continued to watch Kyra, frowning intently as she fought back. She was faring pretty well against her. Doing better then Devika, in his opinion as she fought of what appeared to be fear.

John laughs, "A girl like you? Kat, you're sexy, but you're also scary as hell, Do you really have guys coming after you all the time? Besides, Johnathon Brock doesn't beg for any girl" he pauses for a second before continuing with a cheeky grin, "Unless of course, you're into that."

Without hesitation, Ben cuts to the chase, asking, "Kijani, are you prepared to kill your grandmother? Because, if you don't think you can, I'll do it for you. It would be easier for me since I only know about her crimes and not as a grandma."

"She's holding up well" Connor said "considering is probably pure fear or something. I hopes she will be okay"

[Flood]

Flood realized he had quickly become a third wheel and decided to leave. He got out of the table he was sitting at and started to walk to the front of the class. He sat down and began to listen to conversations. He saw literally nothing happening so he decided to walk out of the class and go wandering. He heard something about grandma murder while wandering and began to listen in.

He nodded," very well, better then I expected in fact. I was worried that she wouldn't know how to handle herself seeing as she had never encountered her before. She is doing much better then I would do. Whenever I get an extreme emotion like that my instincts kick in." He watched, frowning slightly then mumbled," she seems to contact skin to transfer emotions.. Wonder if my fur would block the transfer slightly..." He wanted to test that out at some point but wasn't sure it Devika would agree to that.

Kijani looked taken aback by the question. "Wait, wait... kill her? Anthony said he was going to go after his father, he never said anything about me having to-" She looked confused and mildly sick, but pushed past that to speak. "I'd want to ask her some pertinent questions, first. If it comes to killing her... I'll do what needs doing." A politician's answer: say something that means nothing.

"Sure you will," Ben thinks before saying, "It's not smart to lie to yourself. If you can't prepare yourself mentally in time, let us know before we go in. If you freeze, you're not helping anyone." He nods slightly as a goodbye, then walks back into Mimic's classroom.

Flood comes out of the shadows as he approaches Kijani. "I see you have a difficult decision in front of you. I'm not going to pretend I understand you, nor will I guarantee you'll make the right choice. However it seems you need some help figuring out the pros and cons of each decision you're faced with. Could you explain the scenario for me a bit? I'm new to the friend thing but from what I know friends listen to each other. I could help you from a logical standpoint if nothing else." He said as he tried to come off as friendly but instead came off as mentally unstable.

Kalinda barely managed not to groan as she turned her attention to Devika and Kyra's fight, head resting on her arms on the desk. She struggled to keep her eyes open, but she could feel the intensity of the fight, the struggle Kyra was under. She sighed, just wanting this day to end. It had started off so well...and then gym had happened. She vowed to stay as far from Anthony as she could manage, never wanting that to happen again. It had been too much, and had taken its toll on her.

As she watched the fight, part of her wanted Kyra to just give up, to end it, but she knew if Kyra did, the fear would grow. She wondered how long it had taken Devika to work that empathy. She sighed once more.

Connor nodded, "Kyra's always seemed strong" He said, "I'm sure she will be fine"

Her knees were shaking once more and she tried to breath calmly so she wouldn't lose any air that she needed.

Kijani gave Flood a look of surprise, then pure derision. Her voice was a wicked sneer. "Friend? I don't even know you. Stay out of my business, or I'll end you like I'll end her." She walked back into the classroom without a second glance.

Devika looked worried, but it seemed like Mimic wasn't going to let them stop fighting until Kyra gave in. "I'm sorry. Please don't hate me." She reached out and wrapped one of her hands around Kyra's slim neck. For a moment it was just a touch, almost like a caress. And then Devika started to squeeze.

"Thank you. And yes, in the right places, however they always seem to think that this is all an act and they can prove who is really in charge." She said mockingly, how fun it was to tear their sordid dreams to pieces. "Oh I could make you beg for mercy - twice - but I'll spare you that for now." She flashed a smile and gave a light laugh. "That's not a threat by the way, I feel I should clarify that."

With a laugh, John says, "I don't think you understood what I meant when I said beg. I didn't mean beg for mercy, I meant beg for company, if you know what I mean. I don't think anyone can make me beg for mercy because my powers have made pain a welcome change of pace." He turns his attention to the TV screen, watching Devika and Kyra's fight. He asks Kat, "Do you think Devika would really try to kill that girl, or is she just hoping for a tap out?"
