Kijani raised her eyebrows as Zero rattled off his powers. Wow. She could only do one thing that was classified as super, and the rest was just learning and practice. For the first time in a long time, she felt outclassed. Inferior. She didn't like it at all. And then he was asking what she could do, and what she could do sounded so dumb in the face of all his talents. She thought about lying about it, but realized that she'd probably be asked to demonstrate. She cleared her throat, and put her confidence back on. Even if she was inferior, she sure wasn't going to act like it.

"I have a limited object telekinesis with density-shifting and construct building abilities." It sounded very scientific, but it wasn't much when it was put on display. Possibly because she was always holding back, always limiting herself to small doses. She'd never really cut loose- it had never been safe.

I draw too" she talked happily now, idly playing with a loose strand of hair-a habit of hers. "What about you?" She asked, genuinely curious

Two students, one an attractive blonde girl and the other a guy by the name of Ben Parker, walked out from behind a large tree on the edge of the school grounds. The girl quickly walks away to join her friends with a bashful smile on her face. The boy calls after her with a wide grin, "It was great catching up with you, Melanie." As Ben walks toward the crowd of students waiting to enter the school, he notices his brother and one other guy sticking to the wall. "Hey Jack," he shouts, "Can't you wait a few days before you start showing off? And who's your friend?"

A sleek, jet black corvette rolls into the student parking lot and quickly comes to a stop in a free space. Anthony flicks a switch on his dashboard as he steps out of his car. He straightens his clothes, then walks toward the entrance of the school. As he walks away from his car, a dome of green, buzzing energy envelops his car. When the sound of the buzzing reaches Anthony's ears, he smiles slightly while thinking, "Hopefully no one else makes the mistake of touching my little security system. The last idiot left such a mess." He brushes past the other students, and while he seems to not notice them, in reality he is memorizing every face he passes. He enters the lobby of the main building and is greeted by the sight of an extremely tall, stereotypical jock. "I guess every school must have its share of these imbeciles." "Excuse me," Anthony asks the younger student, "are you here to give us the grand tour?"

Austin quickly disappeared into the building, the level of the sound beginning to hurt his ears and head. He rubbed his head and looked around, brushing his hands over his furry arms. He was wearing his typical tank top and shorts, his tail twitching behind him.

Jack looked over as his brother not so subtly walking out with some girl. The new girl of the week. To each their own. He smiled. And shouted back "Oh hey Ben. You know I can't resist showing off. It's who I am. Oh. This here is Cassius. Another sort of web slinger like us." He said pulling himself off the wall and going back down to ground level. "Aren't we suppose to go to the tour or something?" He asked walking through the crowd towards Ben. He hoped Cassius was close. He usually figured he knew what he was doing. "So who was she?" He asked smirking slightly. He always have him flak for his girlfriends.

Ryan nodded. "I'm sort of into chemistry. It was my dad's favorite hobbies. Since it sort of made him he made me like it." He saw the crowds moving into the building. "I think we have the tour soon. Maybe we should go in?" He said looking at her and the crowds.

She said, offering a much more simple explanation. She almost felt bad for deliberately talking over Zero's head. Almost.

"Maybe we should" she agreed, she hesitated looking at the crowd. "How about we stick together?" She asked Ryan, "make me feel better having a friendly face" she looked at him hopefully

Conner looked up as a guy brushed past him, and shook his head, stepping aside. Clearly politeness wasn't part of many peoples attitudes. He shrugged, waiting for the tour to start

Kyra walked quickly through the next hall, biting her bottom lip, not wanting to bump into anyone she knew. "No no no on on no on no no no no no no no..." she murmured.

Ryan had been hoping she would say that. "Yah!! I would love to stay with you. I hate huge crowds. I always feel unsafe in them. It's odd but it is how I am." He said shrugging. He looked around the crowd for anyone he would know. He did not find any.

Zero looked at her with a straight face and pushed his hat up," Your power is controlling paper ?" He said with an unsure look on his face," Well that's actually pretty cool, and rare, at least it's nothing like talking to rocks or being able to smell everything on the planet or can tear your arms off and regrow them." he told her. " I think I actually read somewhere that paper can be used as armor and work as well as steel." he said

John raises one eyebrow and looks down at Anthony as he replies, "You better watch yourself, pretty boy. I can demolish you and give everyone the tour at the same time." John pushes Anthony out of the way and addresses the crowd of students. His powerful voice easily drowns out the collective voice of the crowd, demanding their attention. "Alright listen up, fresh meat. Around here, there are two main rules. The first is don't screw with me or I'll really jack you up." He chuckles quietly, then continues, "At the Academy, there are only three mandatory classes. Every day, you must go to PE and PD, phys ed and power development class respectively. Once a week, you will have to attend a battle simulation class, and trust me, you do NOT want to miss that. During the first week of school, you can visit all of the elective classes and see which ones you like. At the end of the week, you must choose three electives that you will attend for the rest of the year. Once we enter the building, there is a row of computers on the left. Those are used to sign up for on-campus housing and to finalize your elective choices. On the right is the head of security's office and a table to pick up a map of the campus. Any questions? No? Then see ya later losers." He turns and begins to walk away when a squeaky, prepubescent voice stops him, "What is the second rule?" a young girl asks.
John glances over his shoulder and answers, "Don't anger the principal. And if you do, you better pray to whatever gods you believe in to have mercy in you, because Batman sure as hell won't." He walks away, his long legs carrying him out of sight in moments.

Ben smirks, "You didn't recognize her? She's Melanie, from down the street. Apparently, her dad was a dude named James Madrox. He could clone himself, or something like that." He looks at Cassius and sticks out a hand in greeting, "The name's Ben"

John looks down angrily as he's bumbed into, white tendrils grasping the person at fault. When he see's that it's just a girl, he laughs and lets go, "Baby, you can bump into me as much as you want." He walks past her, giving her a light pat on the butt and says, "You better join the other new kids. They can explain everything to you."
