John nods in agreement as he watches Nacelle and David talk, "You're probably right." Turning his attention back to Devika, he asks, "Want to head over to gym? It's going to start soon."

Devika nodded. "We may as well." She turned in that direction and started walking. "I did a half hour on the treadmill this morning. It's getting easier. Soon I'll have muscles!" She grinned wide, showing off her dimples.

John wraps one arm around her and gives a quick squeeze and says, "Good job! Maybe one day you'll be able to beat me in a weight lifting contest." He walks slightly in front of her, and opens the door to the gym while saying, "It's been a while since I've seen you in the fitness center. I guess we've just been going at different times."

Nacelle smiled brightly at the mention of Beast, as she saw that David's hair was turning blue she smiled even more and let her hair fall down onto her shoulders. He would see that it was almost striped, brown and white combatting for the control of her hair. " Dit is die eerste keer dat ek sien dit af, jou gelukkige David." ( This is the first time I've shown it off, your lucky David) She punched his shoulder playfully and oicked up her book, with a small smile on her face she put her hair back into a braid. " Ek dink ek moet gaan kry , ek het baie van die studie te doen." ( I think I should get going, I have plenty of studying to do.)

"Wel, ek is seker gelukkig voel, ek sal later met jou te praat, ek het gimnasium volgende en ek dink dat sy beginspan." (well, I certainly feel lucky, I'll talk to you later, I have gym next and I think its starting.) David said to Nacelle as he smiled and gave her a little wave. "As jy uiteindelik in die gimnasium dit is waar ek sal wees." (If you end up in the gym that's where I'll be.)

After saying goodbye to Nacelle and parting ways David headed toward the gym smiling. His first day and he'd already made a friend, he hoped.

Devika laughed. "But if I get too muscly, I'll look like a dude. I don't want to look like a dude." She nodded her thanks as he opened the door for her. "Yeah, I guess we're just on different schedules. If you want to go at the same time, I wouldn't mind the encouragement at all."

Nacelle nodded as she followed him, having nowhere else to go. " Hey , ek is jammer om jou weer te pla , maar ... kan jy lees van my skedule? Dit is soort van nutteloos." ( Hey, I'm sorry to bother you again but...can you read off my schedule? It's kind of useless.) She shook her head and sighed. " Ek dink ek moet 'n vertaler , kon ek daaroor praat met my pa. "( I think I need a translator, I could talk to my dad about it. )

John sits down in the bleachers and leans back, relaxing as he asks, "So how about this afternoon then? After our last class?"

Devika sat next to him, tucking her arms behind her head. "That sounds good. Maybe you can teach me how to lift weights properly." She gazed out over the mostly empty gym. "Maybe I can... become something useful."

David nodded and smiled at Nacelle. "Natuurlik kan ek." (Of course I can.) He said and took her schedule. "dit lyk soos jy gym met my en 'n paar van die ander, wil merk saam met my?" (it looks like you have gym with me and some of the others, want to tag along with me?) He says as he pulls out a pen and writes out her classes in Afrikaans so she knows what they are without needing help. After he's done he smiles at her and holds out her schedule for her to take as he stands in front of the doors to the gym.

Nacelle took her schedule and looked it over, she smiled at him and nodded. She opened the door for him and simply put down the doorstop so that she didn't have to wait. She looked around at the others and smiled., she went to one of the corners and flexed her hand, showing her half an inch claws as she started to scratch the floor as she always did. Chunks of the floor flew from it like butter seeing as her claws were vibranium.

(Teleportation time)

Shortly after the last of the students had straggled into the gym, Professor McCoy strides in and waits for everyone's attention. Once he has it, he says, "We're not doing anything special today, just basic fitness tests. You'll be doing a timed mile and a half run, you'll also do as many pulls ups, crunches, and push ups as you can."

Nacelle looked around to see if any of the others understood this, she got up from her cornee and walked towards the professor with the hint of a frown on her face. "I can't understand you." She said this as she flipped through her book, trying to find the right words to say.

A few minutes before gym started, Kalinda packed away what she had used, and waited for the class to start. Se sighed hearing what they had to do, the run wasn't so bad, but everything else..."Fun" She muttered

David smiled and waved, almost shyly, at his father when he saw him. It had been two years since he had seen his father, his hair hadn't been turning blue when he left and he had still been a snot-nosed little kid back then. When he saw Nacelle speaking to his father he knew that it would be because of the language barrier between them and he wasn't sure his father spoke Afrikaans, so he decided to go over and see if he could offer any help to either of them but when Hank pulls her into his office he stops and joins the rest of the class figuring that he is probably dealing with it better than David could have.

McCoy looks down at her and smiles, "Ah yes, I remember reading your file. Please follow me" He leads her into his office and shows her a glass jar that's on his desk. Inside, is a small yellow creature swimming in some water. "Trust me." Before Nacelle can do anything, McCoy picks up the creature and holds it to her ear, allowing it to squirm inside her ear canal. "This is called a babel fish. It feeds off of unnecessary brain waves, but has the side effect of allowing you to understand any language you here. You're welcome. Now let's get back to the others." He leads Nacelle back out and asks, "Any other questions?"

Nacelle blinks a few times and looks at the professor as if he is crazy. "No, no fish!" She exclaims as she looks around and eventually resorts to trying to pull the fish out, her claws scratch her ear and though she draws blood she continues to try and get it out. "How do I get it out?" Her words were slow but panicked.

After eating, Phoebe showed Cyndi where they had to go for gym, saying "We have to go to gym, and Power development, as well as a weekly simulation, others we get to pick our other classes. I'll show you were the girls dorms ar during lunch" She fell silent as McCoy stated what they would be doing, and figured it was perhaps one of the easier gym lessons they had had.

Anthony sighs as he watches Nacelle claw at herself. He walks over to her and blinks once, his eyes now a deep shade of violet as he says, "Calm down girl, there won't be any negative side effects. Whatever Dr. McCoy did to you won't hurt you. He's one of the kinder staff members."

Katherin smiled relieved that the day was starting out so normal. They had taken these test once before at the beginning of the year so it made sense to do so again in the middle of the school year. Katherin took on of the exercise matts and started doing crunches. She wondered how many she could do. Katherin had been so forced on improving her skills with her ice ability that she hadn't really been focusing on working on her physical abilities.

Zack was relieve to hear that they would be doing fitness stuff. Griffin didn't look like he was up to a game. Zack hoped Griffin would be more himself before the next class. Griffin usually took their second class. If he wasn't up to it Zack would try to struggle through it. Zack made his way over to the pull up bar. He knew they could do a lot of these.
