Jackson neatly caught Liz, bracing her easily. He didn't have any healing powers himself, but being able to have access to a large amount of medical equipment almost instantaneously was always helpful.

Kijani was shivering, even as the warmth of the healing coursed through her body.Once it was done, she just lay there, breathing and not saying a word.

Jackson spoke up, his deep voice surprisingly gentle. "Try and move your arm, please?"

Kijani flexed her arm slowly, feeling no pain besides a funny tingling. "...it doesn't hurt." Her voice sounded hollow, even to her own ears.

Jackson frowned. The girl didn't sound well, and he was wondering if something else was going on. "Is there something else hurting you, miss?"

Kijani tried to maintain a neutral reaction to the question, but she couldn't help it. Her body curled tight, as if she were trying to disappear altogether. But she kept her lips pressed tight together.

Jackson looked to his partner. She was his senior, and he wasn't sure exactly how ethical, wise, or even possible it would be to drag information out of a teenage girl. "...what should we do, miss?"

Kat kept her distance for the entire event, nor did she gawk or stare. The injury would be painful no doubt but it took a little more to gain her attention. Instead she sat herself down again and briefly considered whether she'd be able to turn the pommel horse into a real horse. (She soon decided that even if it turned out she could now was not the time to introduce a panicked horse into the room).

Instead she waited until the class finished and then made her exit, leaving behind the discord in the gym. Kat had no intention to go to a class as she instead walked to the library. She was aware of the arrogance some perceived this as but could not find it within herself to care; besides she could be doing a lot worse. Sitting down a few clearly old books of different sizes appeared before her and she set to poring over the runes.

Connor clenched his hands, closing his eyes. He hated this, hated seeing someone he cared about suffering, when he could do nothing about it, finally, he decided to intervene.

Which meant telling the truth.

"She was kidnapped two nights ago. Held, tortured probably-more mental then physical I guess. She won't tell me anything." Connor tried to maintain a strong, outward appearance, but he was just weary and worried. "She doesn't seem to believe that anyone gives a damn about her, that she's just being used I guess. And I don't know what to do"

He looked at both the nurses, "tell me. What could is being a super if you can't help the ones you care about? Right now, I'd trade everything I have, and am, just to have Kijani be okay. And yet I can't do anything" he sighed "I suspect you'll break her before you get anything out of her, and I won't let you do that"

"We won't break her." Liz promises softly. Healing always drained her. The worse the injury the more it took out of her. "Unforunately I can't heal mental or emotional wounds. You need someone else for that. My advice to you is to prove her wrong. Don't let her push you away. Don't let her hide. "

Kijani lifted her head, her gaze unfocused. "...do you guys carry any... like... sleeping pills? I want to sleep. I really want to sleep." Her voice was a low mumble. The inside of her head was a stark contrast.

How could you be so stupid? Your one talent, your agility, you failed miserably in front of everyone. You will never live this down. Who wants someone who can't even do the most basic tasks? Next you'll forget how to read! I don't know why you're even bothering...

The yelling in her head was in a voice, somewhere between her grandmother's, her mother's and her father's. All at the same time, or fading between the three.

"I will give them to your friend." Liz indicated to Conner. "In your condition it is too tempting to overdo them instead of facing what has happened."

Kijani wanted to tell the doctor to shove the pills up her backside, and probably would have done so if she had the energy. Instead she huffed lightly and shut her eyes again, simply mumbling the ever-effective teenage response.

"Whatever."

Connor snorted, "Even as she is, she's still quite stubborn. It's one of the things thats actually endearing" he mused, sighing "One tablet, to sleep. And then we talk. Please" he tried to sound anything but begging, but that was what he was doing. Trying to get her to talk, and get over it. But he was sure he would continue to try and avoid it.

Kyra sat quietly, watching. She sighed and leaned back. She didn't know what to do....

Kijani sighed deeply and sat up. She pushed her hair back and then stood, starting to walk away. There wasn't any pain, which was wonderful. Yet, still, she just wanted to sleep. Figuring Connor would follow, she walked until they reached an area that was mostly isolated. It had plenty of trees and no one was paying any attention, so she settled on the grass, hugging her knees to her chest.

"I'll talk, but... when you walk away, don't blame me."

Connor did indeed follow. He sighed when she spoke, "Have I ever given you the impression that I'd walk away? Cause I'm sorry if I have. I'm not going to walk away, so I wish you would not expect it" he sat down and waited.

Kijani watched as he settled, then looked off to the side, her gaze distant. "I don't know where to start, honestly. What happened to me yesterday has everything to do with what happened to me 6 years ago. And I guess that involves the rest of my childhood previous to that, so..." She shrugged. "Pick a starting point, Connor."

Connor thought for a minute, "I guess you could start with why you were taken" he said, thinking that would be a good starting point.

Kalinda shrugged, looking down at her gloved hands. "It isn't that I don't like wearing them. It's just that i guess I've gotten use to not wearing them. I don't mind wearing them. My blocks are fragile enough today anyway, so why push it?" She picked up her pack again, slinging it over one shoulder. "You don't have to decide right away. The only classes you have to go to is gym first up, and then power development after lunch. Mimic can be a pain, but he's a good teacher overall" she said.She shy ought for a few minutes, tying up her hair as she did so. "Well, I'm going to Kravens class now, if you want to tag along. I mostly go for the amusement the class offers, but I have learned some things"

Kaiden was eager for power development. He knew he could teleport but was unsure of what else he could do. He knew of Kraven but was unsure of his class. It didn't particularly thrill him. He also felt that he wasn't quite officially enrolled yet and didn't have to go to any specific class, letting him wander and discover the lands while his dad tied up loose ends. Kaiden turned from his thoughts to look at Kalinda, abruptly changing th subject. "I wonder how that girl is from gym? You know the one that fell and hurt herself?" He glanced away, remembering the pain he felt emitting from her. But it was more than just physical pain. "I really hope she is ok." He muttered thoughtfully. And then, as his thoughts focused on the girl, he felt an emotional wave of concern flow through him and in a flash of wispy white smoke he was gone. Kaiden disappeared from kalinda's room, leaving no black smoke or sulfuric smell but rather an odorless wispy smoke that dissipated in seconds.

Kaiden appeared right next to Kijani, staggering back in surprise at his own actions, wispy smoke fluttering around him. He hadn't mastered his teleporting; he could not teleport on demand and usually it came about during an emotional reaction. This time though it was even more strange as he didn't know where Kijani had been taken but was somehow still able to bring himself to where she was.

Kalinda blinked. Before she had had time to reply to him, Kadian had just disappeared. She bit her lip, then sighed. If Kadian had no idea what he was doing, then he could get in trouble. So she decided to follow, or at least try to. It wouldn't be easy, but she knew she had to do it.

She sighed again, and lowered her blocks. This would be a good test to see if she could track someone based on their emotions. She focused, taking a few deep breaths, before slipping into the shadows. She swallowed, trying to push aside the wave of emotions.

kadian she thought to herself, beginning to move through the shadows. She was surprised at how effective it was, and soon found him. "Kadian! I might not have the best sense of privacy, but I'm pretty sure this is an invasion of it!"

Katherin made her way to her next class. One of the things she loved about the academy was that she could study whatever she wanted. She sat restlessly in her class. While she loved her psychology class her mind wasn't on the teacher. It was outside. She could hardly wait for lunch.

Zack switched places with Griffin. Since they had fighting class next. The best thing about this school was they had an equal opportunity to study their interest. And while Griffin didn't have many friends he had made more connections here then anywhere else they had gone.

Kyra walked down the hall towards the 'fighting class'. She didn't know why she attended that class, she had nothing else to do.

"Hello Kyra." Griffin called out. He figured it couldn't hurt to greet the people he knew.

Kyra stopped and turned. "Oh, hey!" she said smiling brightly. She walked over to him. "At the moment...are you..... Griffin?" she asked, guessing. She still couldn't tell the difference between the two personalities.

Kaiden heard Kalinda yelling at him but he couldn't see her. He was unsure whether she had got in to his head or whether she had arrived the same way he had. He shook his head as if that would rid him of Kalinda's presence. He glanced to Connor who was right next to Kijani. He knew all eyes were on him. If he could teleport himself out as quickly as he arrived he would have. The last thing he wanted though was for the people at his new school to exile him on his first day. He tried to act cool, ignoring Kalinda, as he turned to speak to Kijani. "Are you ok? I um, purposefully came here to check on you. I was worried that you got really hurt." Although he acted smooth with his actions, covering up his blunder in appearance, his emotions were real and he really did care if she was ok or not. He could feel many eyes on him, probably not very happy with his interjection.
