Kalinda had already closed her eyes, expecting another flash bang. It amused her greatly that they thought that just because she was blinded, she couldn't find them. "I can feel you" She whispered, "I can hunt you, even blind" It was an odd, new side of Kalinda that she had never known she was capable off. It was scary to her, but also...exciting.

She lashed out, gathering all her strength, to push out at Flood, and to help free Kat of the vines

When Flood leaped towards her she was prepared, countering his attacks. However she could see his plan and that it was working; she hadn't planned on relying on her magic but if needs must. Landing a blow to his chest, it was accompanied by a blast of magical energy which would send him flying back, though cause no pain or damage of it's own accord.

And then the room was black. She fell still and silent, and closed her eyes (after all Nicholas had shouted out their plan and the room was dark anyways). She felt the vines begin to snake around her legs and then a brief but intense burst of light. Well, there was the flash. Bending down she wrapped her fingers around the vines. In the darkness they would not see the blackness which seeped into the greenery, how it corrupted from the inside out. The vines shrank away and the help from Kalinda was the last step as she kicked herself free.

Nicolas didn't care for this and had another idea in his head mostly the one he was going to use,He could still feel their body heat and was moving around the ground thanks to the plant that he was in.He appeared above ground but the plant was with him or rather he was inside of the plant,That was when the thick vines was knocking the walls apart to let in sun and the flowers that were growing around them to reflect the sunlight onto Kalinda.

" Nicholas, begin releasing the fear gas!" Flood yelled as he was pushed back slightly again. He was really starting to get pissed. "Time to end this!" He rushed Kat as he went for a match ending blow. He wanted it to be over and if he hit he would certainly knock her out.

Nicolas did so the gloves on his hand some more small plants appeared around the two spraying their faces with the fear toxin,The only problem he had was that it could effect Flood and leave him useless and a sitting duck.

"How is this school still standing?" She muttered to herself as the light flood in and the walls crumbled. Fear gas? She couldn't linger on the thought though as she saw Flood charge towards her. Eyes widening she took a half step back but it was too late, he was on her, she threw her arms up and... he crashed right through as the image splintered and faded away. She revealed herself from where she had been standing a short distance away. "Honestly, have you forgotten who I am?"

Kat turned to reevaluate the situation and it was then the gas surrounded her. There was a brief moment of understanding before it began to take effect. The feeling was not unknown to her, this situation however was. She went to reach for the knife that wasn't there, her hands grasping empty air, hands she daren't not look down to. "That is a good trick." Her tone suggested it was anything but, as she turned her burning wildfire green eyes to stare straight through his mask.

"Then you will love this trick..." Nicholas mused the effect of he fear gas taking effect on her hopefully to give her the effects like blurred vision and LSD like hallucinations of he things she feared most.Nichols meanwhile was waiting for the effects to work on the annoyance that was Kalinda.

[Flood]

Flood was super pissed at this point. "No. More. Illusions!" He screamed as the air began to start misting up around him. Icicles began forming around his arms. It looked like he was suffering from severe frostbite for seconds at a time before he healed just as fast. "Show yourself!" He shouted as icicles started spouting all over the battlefield in an attempt to skewer anyone. The ice then began spreading out side of the ring as the walls and floor began freezing. Flood then promptly passed out.

Kalinda starting to laugh, taking in her own fear and sealing it away for use. She rose into the air as the ice started to form, locating Kat easily enough. Kat was in trouble. She couldn't react like Kalinda and just filter the fear away, Kalinda body did if naturally, an instinctive response.

She pinpointed Kats emotions, and began to draw her fear away, something she would have to do constantly. Kalinda wasn't sure how this gas worked, but she wasn't taking chances as she rose above it, as flood fainted, Kalinda focused all her attention onto Nicholas her power rose in side of her like a wave crashing down, and she attacked him with all her strength. With her telekineses, she was stronger then she had any right to be, and she knew that this attack might just kill Nicholas

That thought sunk in even as she flung him hard, and before she knew what she was doing, shadows had formed around him, stopping him in mid air. She returned him to the ground, landing back down herself, panting.

"Enough" she said softly, her voice voided of emotions. "We have won. Flood is down of his own stupidity, and I nearly killed you. Enough"

Black heart, blue bones, black heart, blue bones...

"I see this every night, why should now be any different? A horse may shy from the whip, a dragon will turn to confront." However her hands were fists, green vapour peeling upwards. She stepped forwards, closer to him, squaring off, looking down on him. All the jests and charm from earlier gone, malice and rage now ruled, and fear, fear making her foolish. But then there was ice, real ice, ice filling the room. She quickly looked down to her hands, but the fear was fading and logic taking its place; this was not her doing.

Tearing her eyes from her hands she turned to see Kalinda, she almost looked different as to the girl who walked in here. Too close. She forced herself to step back, holding her breath, and moving over to Flood to check he was still alive. She doubted he was dead, but a pulse would be a welcome touch back to reality right now.

The moment that Kat touched Flood he jerked awake screaming. "God Damn it, it's cold!" He proceeded to let out a string of curses that could make a sailor blush. Some of them weren't even in English. "Why is it so cold?" Flood groaned as attempted to get up. He collapsed on the ground again as he continued groaning. His skin was turning blue, but then turning normal color just as fast.

"It's you, you fool." She snarled. She saw his skin change but ignored it, grabbing at his clothes and dragging him up pushed him against the wall. "It's you, so make it stop." She let him go and took a step back, looking at him fiercely and expectantly.

Kalinda turned, and it was now that she was beginning to shakes she headed out the room, needing to be alone for just a minute, staying outside in the hall, she took some Deep, steadying breaths, slipping her gloves back on and slowly reckons trucking her emotional blocks. She winced, pressing a hand to her side, sure that there was at least one broken rib, and she grimaced. Her nose hurt as well, and she raised a hand, feeling the stickiness of blood.

She groaned, and tidied herself up as best as she could, knowing she would heal soon, and returned to the classroom, and her seat. She was breathing shallow, to try and not strain her side. As far as she was concerned, the fight was over.

Nicholas was in his own little world rubbing his backside in pain,[i]Damn I could have won...bitches.." He though to himself before looking over at Phoebe,"Apparently yes I can but I don't know how when I didn't know how before..." He trailed over standing up slowly walkng over to Flood ignoring Kat and Kalinda."I am do sorry...I will bring you to the nurse..." He said grabbing the boys'a hand to help him up on his feet.

"Thanks." Flood responded as he took Nicholas' hand. Nicholas would notice how cold Flood was when he touched him as he began limping towards the nurse's office. He completely ignored Kat and everyone else as he looked at his hands. "They're blue, but they're not."

"I believe that is not something to worry about right now and right now we should head to the nurses office" Nicholas said walking along with Flood to the nurses office taking a quick look at Phoebe.

Phoebe seemed to hesitate. "Who are your parents?" She asked softly, following behind so she could be heard, a sense of fearful apprehension flowing over her. "Because I control plants" she didn't know if she wanted the answer or not, but if someone else could control plants, then she needed to know

Kaiden blinked as Kijani broke eye contact and he felt a release draw away from him and back towards Kijani. He realized what he was developing was a power in the realm of mind control; to what extent his powers extended he wasn't sure. If he could persuade people he could definitely work with this in the fighting. He found it curious though why Kijani reacted the way she did to his power. "Yeah, sure, sorry about that" he responded with a shrug. He listened to her method for their fighting. "That sounds good to me. I have never sparred before but I do parkour and I run a lot so I have strong endurance and I can move fast. But Kijani, what if I can't distract both of our opponents?" He wanted to cover all bases. The benefit of them going last was that they had plenty of time to create a game plan and to observe how the others win or lose.

Kijani thought about his question. It was a good one- there was no guarantee that he could hold two people's attention at the same time. "Well, you may not be able to fight, but can you dodge? You know you can fight, but... you're new. You're a variable that no one else will know how to conquer. For all we know, you're a blackbelt." She grinned fiercely. "Rule number one is easy. Never let them see your weakness." Canting her head, she dug splinters of wood out from under her fingernails with a detached interest. "Everyone has a weak point. Everyone. The trick is to keep it good and buried where no one can figure it out. You don't seem like the acting type- the other trick is to seem weak enough that you no longer become a threat. I'm way too smug for that, but I have seen it played well. Anyway..." She nodded her head. "You fake it. Throw a punch, but try not to get caught in it. Get them to come at you, you dodge, you port.. Just keep them looking while I do the dirty work."
